Even just going for "maintenance" sessions is helpful. I started off every other week, but that wasn't enough, so I went once, sometimes twice a week for a couple of months. The intake process was easy, but everything after that was a mess. I logged into my scheduled intake appointment and waited over 20 minutes with no provider. When I tried calling multiple times to see if the provider was late, no one answered. I eventually emailed and was told I had canceled my appointment 18 minutes before it started, which is completely untrue. I did not cancel -- I logged in and waited. Instead of calling to figure out what happened, they charged me for a missed appointment. Later I was told "Google canceled it," and now billing has to "review" whether I'll be reimbursed. Unprofessional, stressful, and not acceptable -- especially for a therapy practice.
