    Beef Shawarma Bowl

Wanted to have a bit of everything and so they have recently added this option. Not yet on the menu but do ask for it! It is delectable... so rich in flavor and variety.

Delicious, extremely fresh, and very friendly owners! Sahara Grill is located right next to FIU, and new to this area so we decided to check it out! The owners explained the menu and all they had to offer, we ended up ordering the Beef shawarma with two baklavas on the side. Good amount of food for the price which was $15 a plate and well balanced with hummus, veggies, salad, rice, and meat. The modern and chic Middle Eastern decor felt refreshing. Highly recommend and we will most definitely be back to try some more! ^.^

I was craving falafel while in Miami visiting family and we found this spot close to where we were staying. What a lucky find! We were traveling with our dog so I ordered online and we sat at one of the two outside tables to eat our delicious food. As soon as I walked in, I knew it was going to be amazing because the smell alone was incredible. I got the bowl and the falafel was so flavorful, delightfully crispy on the outside and perfectly moist inside as it should be! We also got a side of fries and they were well-seasoned and excellent. The cherry on top was the staff! I was warmly greeted when I entered and everyone working there was friendly and professional. While we were sitting outside, one person came out and brought us a sample of house-made baba ghanoush, which was packed with flavor and so fresh. I can't wait to visit again next time I'm in Miami!

Finally checked out Sahara Grill and it did not disappoint. I've been eyeing this spot since the sign first went up, and I'm so glad it's finally open! Tried the falafel sandwich with tahini sauce and it was incredible--warm, fluffy pita with the perfect crunch, fully loaded with fresh toppings. The staff was super welcoming, and the gentleman at the counter took the time to explain the difference between the sandwich and the bowl, which helped me decide. The space is simple but clean, with a cozy little lounge area that adds a nice touch. My order took a bit longer than expected, but only because the family ahead had a big one--and I actually appreciate that everything is made fresh to order. Already planning my next visit!

I was looking for a place open late that wasn't a drive thru, and stumbled upon Sahara Grill, we came in at around 11:30pm and were greeted with kindness from the moment we walked in. The cashier walked us through the menu and was super friendly as well, I also loved that they had a bunch of different sauces to try in a little mini fridge by the soda machine. My chicken shawarma bowl was delicious, I'd come back anytime time

    Falafel Sandwich with Fries

I was in Miami visiting family with my wife and our dog and found Sahara Grill conveniently near my parents' house. I got a falafel sandwich, my wife got a falafel bowl, and we got some fries to share. Everything was absolutely amazing!! The falafel was some of the best I've ever had. The pita was soft and fresh and all the extra veggies and sauces were so complementary to the meal. And whatever seasoning they put on those fries is incredible. I didn't go inside since we had our dog, but the staff came outside to check on us while we ate which was really nice. I appreciated the care they took into not only the food but also the service. My one very minor critique is that we asked for no pickles on my sandwich, but it came with pickles anyway. No big deal, I just took them out! But I hope Sahara Grill finds much success and we'll definitely be back when we're in Miami again.

The food, service and ambiance was spot on. I'm so disappointed I hadn't come here sooner. The beef was so tender and I don't get any chewy spots (which I hate and it has happened in another places) it was the right amount of spice for both the chicken and beef. The baklava was spot on I had the raspberry and the normal one with the Arabic coffee pot which i highly recommend since it's a nice contrast of bitter and sweet. I'm already thinking what to get next time yum And my god the pita was so fluffy I recommend getting extra for the hummus.

New Palestinian-owned restaurant in Miami, Sahara. Owners are from Nazareth in 1948 Palestine. Classic menu of bowls and sandwiches including beef and chicken Shawarma bowls, filet .ignong kebab skewers, falafel, kibbeh, falafel sandwich, beef Shawarma, sahara cheesy chicken sandwich, and Panther crispy chicken baguette named after the Florida Panthers. Located near FIU. The owner and everyone there are very friendly. The food is fresh and cooked right in front of you on the grill I ordered the sahara cheesy chicken sandwich which is something I haven't seen at Arab restaurants. It was delicious. The fries are delicious with tahini parsley and garlic sauce. Ill be back to try more of their delicious food.

Stumbled upon this location one late night working in Miami and they did not disappoint. Everyone was super welcoming and they even encourage you to stay and enjoy the space they've created if you have the time. They are family owned and operated and you can absolutely tell by how smoothly they operate and the love and care put into the food . Everything is delicious well seasoned and flavorful. I love experiencing cultural dishes and they absolutely used a little bit of home in these meals . The bowls were packed and every bite had me wanting more. The falafel was so crispy and the best part was watching everything be made and put together as we waited. It's all made fresh, so be patient when you order. They will check on you while you wait and trust me, it's worth it !

I'm not sure what was better here: the goo or the service! What a pleasant surprise! We came across this place while planning to have lunch somewhere else in the shopping center and we are so glad we came in. Everything is fresh. Quality is great and service is exceptional! Everything we tried was DELICIOUS! Highly recommended.

The food is some of the best in Miami! The staff has super helpful and nice! The service is a bit slow but the food is fresh and so worth it. The restaurant is small but has a good amount of tables. You get an FIU discount if you show your ID as well!

The staff is very friendly. Food is delicious. Beef Shawarma Sandwich was amazing. 1st time eating at Sahara and definitely coming back.

Food, service, and ambiance was great. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure our food was exactly what we wanted and they exceeded my expectations on every level. The portions and quality of the food was amazing. Try the Knafeh. You'll thank me.

The restaurant offers a beautiful atmosphere that blends elegance with a lively Middle Eastern vibe, making it perfect for a memorable event. From the moment we started planning, the staff was extremely accommodating and professional. They were responsive, flexible with the setup, and helped organize the seating so our group felt comfortable while still enjoying the energy of the restaurant. For a group of around 50 people, the space worked very well and still felt intimate rather than crowded. The food was one of the highlights of the evening. Guests loved the variety of authentic Middle Eastern dishes, especially the fresh mezze, flavorful grilled meats, and delicious desserts. The presentation was excellent and the portions were generous, which made sharing and enjoying the meal together easy for a large group. The ambiance added a lot to the celebration. The music, lighting, and décor created a festive mood that felt perfect for an engagement party. Many guests commented on how unique and fun the environment was compared to a typical restaurant event. Overall, Layali Miami provided great service, delicious food, and a vibrant atmosphere that made the engagement party truly special. If you're looking for a place in Miami that can comfortably host a group of around 50 people while offering a memorable dining experience, this is definitely a venue worth considering.

The lentil soup was remarkably bland and lacked the depth and seasoning that had made it memorable before. The chicken wings were dry and arrived without being tossed in the sauce. I brought the issue to the server's attention after tasting one of the wings and explained that I was a returning customer with very specific expectations of the wings based on my previous experience. His response was a shrug, and the item remained on my bill. I took both the soup and wings home and attempted to rescue them myself--adding vegetables and seasoning to the lentils and air-frying the wings with additional seasoning and sauce. They were considerably better after the intervention. That, unfortunately, was the takeaway: when a restaurant has previously given you something worth returning for, consistency matters. So does acknowledging a guest's feedback when the experience misses the mark. I left disappointed, but perhaps the meal served as a reminder that sometimes the best version is still the one I make at home. The two cold appetizers - hummus and baba ghanoush with pita bread were edible. Disappointed overall.
