Quick service. Delicious authentic tasting shawarma. We ordered the combo #6 with an additional skewer and it was perfect for two people to share. Very filling and tasty. Would come back again. I am so happy they opened up this little spot!

This place is a hidden gem! It's located next door to the DMV so very difficult to find parking and very crowded shopping center. But this food is well worth the traffic. It's definitely the best Mediterranean food in Kendall area. Not only was the lamb and steak cooked to perfection, but the pricing is great. The service was amazing as well, and if you are looking for this type of food, please make the drift because you will not regret it.

I picked my friends up at their hotel downtown and we headed out to lunch. The original place we picked was not open because apparently they had some kind of a pissing contest with the city and they lost. Whatever. We were hungry and needed to find someplace fast. And nearby would be a bonus because I had already paid for two hours of parking. No one likes paying for parking and then driving off. That's unAmerican. So we found another place down the street and were on our way when we saw Shawarm Al Basha. The sign said it was Lebanese, and that sounded just as good as what we had originally picked (Mexican), so we went in. First, the place is immaculately clean. The three women behind the counter were all very nice. When we asked about the food, one of them went to the meat and sliced us off samples to try. That was enough for us. We ordered. Vickie had the chicken kabob and Peter and I both had lamb. Mary had a little lamb. It was really delicious. The kabob is kind of pita-like bread wrapped around the meat with tomatoes, onions, falafel, something from a camel (just kidding, making sure you're still paying attention) and other things. They show you the whole list and you can opt out of anything you don't like. I didn't opt out of anything. Pile it on, is my motto. It was a lot to eat at one time, but I persevered. I mean, I had two hours, how could I not. When we finished, we realized we needed baklava (I'm not entirely sure how to spell it). We had the choice of walnut or pistachio, and we chose the pistachio. Which means now I need to go back and try the walnut. How else will I know which is better? I don't get to Miami very often, but I will definitely go back to this place. The food was good, the service was excellent, the restroom was clean (it's a long drive and I had to go) and we had a great time. All-in-all, worth every one of their five stars.

Inside the style is middle eastern art and decor. They have a large menu and lunch specials are available durning weekdays. Everything that I had tasted fresh and delicious. The complimentary pickled vegetables and pita was a nice touch. For food we decided on the Shishbarak, which is an interesting combination of meat dumplings, in a creamy yogurt sauce. The Shishbarak is a very hearty dish that has a cozy warm texture. The vegetarian sampler is mix of many of the traditional favorites. However, the standouts are definitely the grape-leaves, and the babbaganou Service was good but they only had one person that was working the register, waiting tables, and bussing food. They could definitely use extra wait staff during restaurant peak hours. Make sure you leave room for dessert! The desserts are delicious especially the baklava.

The first thing we noticed, which was a bit unexpected, was the decor. The ambiance was really nice and inviting. This is the type of restaurant where someone could host a party. The service was really good too. We received water almost immediately after being seated, and our server came by shortly after. The manager stopped by throughout our visit to provide recommendations, and he was really nice. It made the experience feel more personal. For our appetizer, we ordered the Baba Ghannouj, which complemented the pita bread really well. It was our first time having it, and we did not know what to expect, but it was great. It was really flavorful, and we finished it wanting more. For our entrees, we had the Lamb Chops and the Seafood Tagine. The lamb chops were great. It was not a huge portion, but the meat was flavorful and cooked well. The presentation was also really nice. The Seafood Tagine looked great, and the sauce was incredibly flavorful. Everything about the dish worked well together, and we felt that all the flavors complemented one another. There was a good harmony between the ingredients. For dessert, we ordered the Kunafa, which was another first for us. We had never had it before, but the description really sold us on it. It was really good. This is the kind of dessert that is best shared since it is a little heavy. Toward the end of our visit, a belly dancer came out to perform, and it was really exciting. La Vie is a great restaurant, and we will definitely return. We felt as though we got a true Mediterranean experience during our visit.

For our entrees we got chicken tagine and lamb chops. I must say the lamb chops were phenomenal. Perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. I definitely recommend getting them medium. All in all if you're looking for something different definitely go check it out!

Talk about a beautiful restaurant that is both welcoming and consistent with the theme of its food and add to that excellent service and the best kebabs and falafel. I have tasted since moving to Florida and you have a real winner here. The Baba Ganesh hummus and other dips are just wonderful. The pita is fresh.
