    Pita and hummus

We decided to have a family dinner here tonight based upon the reviews and the quality of the food. It did not disappoint. We were seated on the outside patio as we had arrived around 5:45 PM with no reservation and this was awesome. The weather is so nice right now! We did order some hummus and pita bread and the kids blew through that first Pita so quickly we had to order another, lol. They ended up with the Italian plate, which is really a pizza and it was perfect for them Between the four adults, we ordered a chicken Shawarma plate, a chicken schnitzel plate and the chicken key fobs. How we all ended up ordering chicken at the same time. I am not sure, but it was more food than the four of us could finish. We also had a house salad that was also very tasty. Don't miss out on anything with their homemade naan, it's perfect. Service was very good and the ambience on the side outside patio is very nice, not too loud but it's definitely a popular spot We split the total bill in our portion was $145, that included the 20% tip they add on their own

Nah, this has to be the absolute BEST happy hour deal in Miami because what do you mean I got to try all these different delicious small portioned dishes and a couple of cocktails for $5, EACH. And the deal it's between 3-7pm I believe...what!!! Best dishes for me, the lollipops, the zucchini cake and the summer salad. Best cocktail between the Summer Scale and Hibiscus Heat, is the latter. If you love watermelon, then that would be an excellent choice...very refreshing too. The lollipops are literally "flg", no pun intended. The zucchini cake with the side sauce is fire. The summer salad is just perfection especially in this Miami heat. This location is also one of the most aesthetically pleasing ones, no doubt. Service at the bar area was exceptional as well. Argue with me but this is a hell of a good deal compared to other happy hour deals I've seen in the city, as of late.

Motek, regardless of location is always a hit. I came here for happy hour with a group of eight and service was quick, the food was delicious and vibes were always high. There is literally not a bad bite at Motek. The hummus will always be my favorite bite - but everything is so flavorful and truly fresh. They are also great with allergies and other dietary concerns - we had a vegan and a gluten free friend in our party!

Gorgeous restaurant on Miracle Mile with a nice vibe. I love Middle Eastern cuisine and have been wanting to come here for a while. I came on a Saturday for brunch. There were a few other families there. As a mom, I wished they had more options for kids. All they offered was the mozzarella flatbread for adults. My son liked it but there were other adult meal options that could be easily turned into kids sized options such as the chicken schnitzel. That being said, all the adult food options we tried were delicious. *Baba ganoush (smashed eggplant) with home made flat bread * Watermelon salad with feta crumble and pistachio (sooo good) * Chicken Schnitzel with Salad (highly recommend) * Shakshouka (Israeli breakfast dish with eggs, tomatoes, tomato sauce, peppers and spices) I ordered a mocktail called Belly Dancer with Coconut Water, passion fruit and matcha powder. Sweet and delish!

First time at Motek and I left conflicted. There were really good moments and really low moments throughout the dinner service. My whole group ordered cocktails. Everyone's drink came out within about a 10min period, besides mine. It was not until about another 10mins after that our server returned and let me know the lychee martini was no longer available. We took the servers recommendations for the appetizers and they were the best part of the night (hummus & cigar rolls). The entrees (branzino and hanger steak) were just underwhelming. Branzino really didn't taste like much and the hanger steak presentation was just not appetizing.

The restaurant is bright and big inside. There's an open kitchen in the back, large tables for groups and a private room. Even though the place was loud and busy, I was able to get a table without a reservation for Sunday lunch and converse with my companion with ease - so much better than the Boca location. I recommend everything we had- hummus, chicken shwarma, and watermelon salad. Both the shwarma and hummus came with a small amount of spicy green sauce. It was very spicy. Note: when our enthusiastic server presented the bill, there was a 20% service charge that gets shared with the staff. This may explain why they have good bussers.

Came here because a local friend recommended the place for good Israel food. Yes, the food is very Israeli from the menu perspective but more on the high end side. Portions were kinda small compared to the price. It was super fresh and all dishes were great, just more on the expensive side. We were 5 people, had 4 main courses, salad and dessert. $200 including 20% service that was already applied to the check.

Motek on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables is a great Eastern Mediterranean restaurant. The food was incredible, and the service was friendly. We highly recommend eating here. One of our best meals while visiting Miami. The weather was nice, so we sat at a table outside. We split 3-4 items to try different things, and everything was very good. They have really nice indoor seating and lots of outdoor tables.

Incredible and super fresh food, we loved all of the menu items that we tried at happy hour, and I really enjoyed how there were so many vegetarian options. The labneh was especially flavorful, and I also really loved the latkes. Plus the cocktails are fresh and flavorful. I love the ambience in this location as well, super airy and with lots of plant themed decorations this is a spacious and enjoyable place to eat, and I will definitely be back.

What a delicious and fabulous experience. The restaurant is very beautiful inside and service is top notch. They help guide you through their diverse menu and give you options based on your preferences. We tried the Miami spice menu selection and we're super impressed with the proportions and the quality of food. We went with the perfectly crisp chicken schnitzel, a greek salad, the tuna tartare, and two of their traditional desserts. Absolutely everything had a fresh taste and texture.

Came here during a work weekend with several colleagues. We decided to get a variety of dishes so we could try multiple things. The salmon and chicken schnitzel were top of the list. The falafel, lamb shank and tuna tartare were huge hits as well. The pita and hummus were delicious we decided to also try the French hummus but for most it was a bit over the top. Perhaps if that was the only hummus we tried it would have been fine. The staff were pleasant and helpful with our selections. Definitely a delicious meal and everyone said they will be back.

Okay so the food at Motek is FANTASTIC...but we had...issues. My friend and I came for lunch during Miami spice and it was packed. Our appetizers (the cauliflower and hummus) came out quickly. The hummus was some of the best I've had, along with the pita. My entree, the chicken shawarma bowl, took over 40 minutes... My friend ordered the arayes. The original order she got was still raw. Don't get me wrong, I eat all my meat cooked rare, but this was fully raw. When she asked for a new order of it, they brought back her same plate (bite marks in the meat and all...), completely burned to a char. WHAT??? She had to send it back again for a freshly prepared dish. Is it me or is it completely unsanitary to take a bitten piece of meat, and put it back on a grill that's used to cook other diners their food?? We spoke to the manager and he didn't even give a discount which is absurd considering how long it took for my dish, and the multiple rounds of the arayes... That said, when cooked properly, the arayes are very good, as was the dessert (baklava and pistachio gelato). But based on how everything was handled, unfortunately I can't give a better review.

We've been Motek fans since they first opened in the Gables and it's been one of our neighborhood favorites for a couple years now. We love the small-plates concept because it makes it easy to mix things up and try something new each visit. The Moroccan cigars, tuna tartare (original), labneh, and halloumi have always been our go-tos. That said, the menu recently changed and I'm not loving the new tuna tartare--it's missing the flavor the previous version had. I really miss the old one with avocado. We also preferred the original halloumi. Service is consistently excellent. The staff is always friendly, genuine, and on point. We used to come often for happy hour, which had great specials and delicious cocktails, but the new 2-5pm happy hour just isn't practical. That said, Motek is still one of our favorite spots in the neighborhood and we'll keep coming back to.

Mediterranean (specifically Lebanese) food is perhaps my favorite on this planet, but this place severely disappointed. I want to start off with the good. Nice, friendly staff. Cozy atmosphere. And all the sides we had were great. Now, the bad. We got the beef shawarma, and it was ok. The shawarma itself was largely bland, and just tasted like cut up steak bites with no flavor. However, that's not the worst part. I had an absolutely nauseating experience with the arayes, which is one of my favorite dishes that I make at home from time to time too. It smelled like cigarettes, gasoline, and death. I don't know how else to describe it. I'm not sure what kind of meat it was, I assume lamb, and I've had experience with lamb that had gone bad in the fridge, and the texture was very reminiscent. I hope that's just a coincidence, and the smell was from another source. More so than the texture, again, the smell was enough to make us gag, and I have a strong stomach. I'd give lower, but I was treated fairly, and that would feel unfair. Thankfully, I'm not in this area that much, but I hope I just got unlucky and everyone else had and will continue to have good experiences here.

For context, I worked in fine dining in New York and Miami for almost 20 years, so I notice the details immediately, hospitality, management presence, the energy of a room. You can usually tell pretty quickly what kind of operation you're dealing with. We were a party of five. I arrived with my four-year-old son and was greeted warmly by the hostess. That warmth ended instantly. Standing directly behind her were two managers in suits blocking the main entrance. Both looked straight at me and my child and said absolutely nothing. No hello, no smile, no acknowledgment. Anyone in hospitality knows that moment sets the tone. As an Arab woman who grew up around a culture where hospitality is everything, it was already a bad sign. We were seated outside and the vibe stayed cold. Unfortunately, the food matched it. We ordered a lot because I genuinely wanted to give the kitchen a fair shot. I grew up eating Lebanese food and what stood out most was the lack of soul. Everything felt flat, like it needed salt, lemon, brightness, that warm Mediterranean seasoning Lebanese food is known for. The tabouli was especially shocking. A $20+ tabouli with no bulgur that was so roughly chopped it was basically whole parsley leaves and slices of onion. Any Lebanese auntie would die at the sight of it. At one point I asked our server if they had harissa or any kind of spicy sauce. She said the only option was Sriracha. In a Lebanese restaurant that charges $18 for a tablespoon of hummus. An Asian chili sauce as the only option. What made it even stranger is that harissa is listed on multiple dishes on the menu, so it clearly exists somewhere in the building. I asked for the Sriracha anyway out of desperation for flavor. It never came. Same with ketchup for my toddler's fries, it took three requests. Throughout the meal I walked around the restaurant several times taking my son to the bathroom, looking around the space, even going upstairs to the lounge. Not a single person acknowledged us. Not a host, not a server, not a manager. The bar is right by the entrance and every time we looked over at the bartender and bar manager, just blank stares. At one point we were clearly standing there confused looking for the bathroom in an empty restaurant and still had to say "Excuse me, where is the bathroom?" Wild. Later I walked up to the bar myself to ask if they carried mezcal. After dinner I went back to order one. Same energy--zero warmth, zero engagement. And this is with an automatic 20% gratuity already on the bill. The mezcal was a $25 two-ounce pour and I still had to ask for an orange slice garnish because no one offered it. Empty bar, two people behind it, and I still had to request it. Also worth noting, our reservation was at 5:45pm and the restaurant was practically empty. Yet I didn't see a single manager walking the floor, greeting tables, or checking on guests. I had talked this place up to my party because I'd been so curious about it for years, and it was honestly a huge letdown. If you know Lebanese food and understand Middle Eastern warmth and hospitality, this probably isn't the place for you. Expect cold, almost nonexistent hospitality and food that feels stripped of the soul that makes Lebanese cuisine special. The space is beautiful. I'll give them that. Everything else felt like a very on-brand Miami disappointment, what happens when you give people a beautiful restaurant, expensive food, automatic gratuity, and no leadership. From the lack of authenticity and attention to detail, it's hard to believe anyone truly Lebanese is behind this operation. If anything, it feels more like a polished money grab. Honestly, it might have been less jarring if they just called themselves "Mediterranean" like so many other places in this city. But if you're going to call yourself a Lebanese restaurant, the culture and hospitality should actually be there.
