I was in the neighborhood getting my nails done and when I finished up it was lunchtime. This spot was in the same shopping plaza and looked enticing so I decided to give it a try, I'm so glad I did! I ordered a chicken shawarma rice bowl to go. I got the rice with lentils, the chicken, the Greek salad and then hummus and tzatziki. The bowl was like $20 but it was nearly two meals for me. It was packed in there and I'm so glad it was because all of it was delicious. You can't even see the lentil rice at the bottom of the container in my picture it's so packed. In addition to the food being delicious, the service was great. The gentleman taking care of me when I came in was super nice finishing up packaging it up and asked if I was okay with some of their sauces to be added on the side. I was also able to try their strawberry and blueberry baklava (they're strategically sitting by the register taunting you to get them -- you have been warned!!) and I'm so glad I did because it was delicious. The color was a beautiful purple and the flavor was a mix of berries and honey but not too sweet. It was flakey and soft...i enjoyed it. The man even put fresh pistachios on top of it when he was packaging it up for me. First time coming and I will certainly be coming back. This place was stellar top top to bottom, and nothing brings me more delight than to be able to write a great review of a hard working family who is absolutely crushing it. First thing you notice are the other tables' food. It all looks incredible, and portions are huge. Then you open the menu, and prices are reasonable. We were quickly taken care of by the owner, who literally downsold us by suggesting a mixed grill platter - he said it was the best bang for your buck, so we went with it and are so glad we did. All the kebabs were excellent - steak tender and chicken juicy. The hummus, pita, tabbouili, kofta and falafel also hit the spot. The carrot salad was the biggest hit. And dessert the Dubai-style cheesecake was A+. Overall we ate a ton, with leftovers, without breaking the bank. Seemed busy but Joseph the chef quickly attended us with welcoming background story of his family owned business. I tried the Kibbeh and steak skewers and it was delicious. All I can say is wow miami needed a spot like this. Food was incredible. So fresh so tasty and clean! We ordered the kibbeh and falafel and they were both incredible. We also got three chicken shwarmas one with hummus and salad one with babaganoush and salad and one with fries and rice pilaf. You cannot go wrong with any of these sides or the chicken. Went to do some business here in this new location. The staff was very friendly and very nice being a Mediterranean restaurant. This is one of my favorite foods and they didn't disappoint great hummus fresh and they also had whole chick Peas very authentic. The owner had me tried this side dish with carrots and raisins. It was really good and I had two Kibe since this was my lunch. the menu looks really good and good prices. Ordered beef shawarma plate with Greek salad, rice pilaf and hummus and also a Sushi Kafta plate with baba ghanoush & tabbouleh. The cheese samosa was delightful and the sushi kafta was a fun twist. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Zaytona Grill. Before making a 45-minute drive, we called ahead to make sure they were open and could accommodate us for a late lunch. We were traveling with three other families, including children and a child with special needs, and came specifically looking for halal food while visiting from another state. When we arrived, we were asked how many people were in our group. After we explained that we were a total of 13 people, the employee spoke to another staff member, who then abruptly told us they were closed and could not take our order. We explained that we had called ahead before driving there, but he dismissed our concerns and said they had a family problem. What made the situation even more frustrating was that there were still customers eating inside, the "Open" sign was lit and hanging outside, and the business hours were still displayed. Instead of trying to communicate respectfully , the staff became rude and confrontational. Another staff member approached aggressively, and one of our friends was pushed during the interaction. The customer service was shockingly poor, and the behavior of the owner and staff was completely unprofessional. After making a long trip with multiple families and children, we were treated with disrespect and hostility. It was a very disappointing read more

Honestly, great first impressions, Joseph, our server and host was so nice and he was so welcoming as well. I ordered the Chicken Skewer and it was delicious. I had grape leaves and fries as my sides and the fries were seasoned so well and the grape leaves were tangy and salty. We ordered the Baklava Sandwich to share and it was truly great.
