This is a great Indian clothing store. I've checked out many of the ones in this area and this is the best for selection, prices and employees. The owners are really nice and the tailors are great. They don't overcharge and they have a variety of outfits for parties, weddings for men, women and even a few outfits for kids. I bought a lehenga from here this past week and it was much better quality than Indian outfits I've purchased online. Also, the alterations were included and the tailors did a great job making it fit perfectly. They let me fit it three times to get it right. They take pride in their work and it shows! Checked out a few stores in Hicksville this is by far the best one honestly. Service was great, they had a lot more variety & options with beautiful intricate designs that were unique & infused both traditional and modern styles. Their lehengas are beautiful & some of my favorites. They also let you take pictures of the dresses unlike the other stores in the area & cater to what you want instead of feeding you ideas. The staff are amazing, definitely recommend this place for all desi outfits whether it's for Eid, bridal wear, reception, etc. They also have 2 other locations but most likely will be coming back here. read more

I'm the MOH for a Indian wedding and I was so lost! The bride got me a dress from India but it was just the fabric and pattern. So I needed to find someone to make sense of it all. I saw on yelp that Sai has some great reviews, so I decide to check them out. The ladies who helped me explained what ever piece was called and what was possible with the fabric given. My wife and I both ordered custom outfits for our wedding. We were told that the outfits would be available within 6-8 weeks and 3 weeks respectively. They said they would call us when it came in but they didn't. We had to call at least 1-2 times a week to check on the status of our outfits; most times when we called, they would promise to give us a call back and they never did. My wife got her lehenga back after a little over 2 months. When she got it back, we noticed the sleeves were not the way we asked and the zipper was broken. They were kind enough to take it back and fix it. Originally the owner called to let us know it was ready. But then we gave another call to let them know we will be picking the dress up and it turned out they lied about having the sleeves fixed and offered to have it altered that same day. This is unacceptable as they were given weeks to make the alterations and they failed to do so. When we finally got it back, the dress was not even fitted properly and it was looser than before. My sherwani also had similar issues. In fact, I did not get my sherwani until about a week before the wedding. I ordered it about a month and a half in advance, keep in mind they promised to have the sherwani ready to be picked up in 3 weeks. The only good thing is that the outfits did turn out nice design wise. However, I still think it was not worth all the stress and headache of working with them. Go somewhere else for your desi bridal and fashion needs. read more

Amazing work!! I had my wedding lengha custom made from Sai and they not only helped me create the exact design I wanted, but also worked with me to choose the fabric, stones and specific colors I was looking for. Neel and Shivani were so helpful and patient with all the meticulous details I asked for. Also..I lost almost 20 pounds in 6 weeks so I had to keep adjusting the size. They kept taking it in/tailoring it multiple times until the week before my wedding to make sure it fit perfectly. It's great that they have an in-house tailor that does incredible work and can make things happen on the spot. It's really hard to find that. In addition to my dream wedding lengha...They custom made my dad's sangeet and wedding suits. Exact colors, style and fabrics we wanted. There were some changes we had to make with the buttons, pants style etc when the outfits came in... but they were able to quickly change it within a few days so that it was again... exactly what we wanted. Neel and Shivani listened to us, looked at our sketches and understood our style and what we were looking for. They also made great suggestions which enhanced our initial ideas. I had a lot of trouble with other places that claimed they knew what I was looking for... but then would show me something I completely hated/was totally opposite from what I described. Lol. So working with Sai was really a relief. If you are a particular bride like me, you will love the work they do. Finally a place in NY that has modern taste and actually listens/understands the customer. On another note... My experience with them on a personal level felt like family. Bought a saree for a wedding. Left the blouse piece to stitch it. 2 weeks later went to get it didn't even touch the blouse piece. Totally forgot about so I gave them one more week to stitch it. Again I went to get it but this time too they didn't stitch . Claiming that they couldn't fine lining for the blouse. Really got me upset. Very poor service. If they can't do something right don't agree to do it. I don't recommend anyone to go there Nd purchase something and leave it with them to stitch. They don't care. They will forget. They are complete idiots , they don't know how to seam or do proper fittings. I bought a lengha and made it triple the size of the actual fitting and chopped it up and it made it completely short . I highly, highly recommend this place over any others. They are even better than Jackson Heights. The entire establishment and staff are beyond amazing! I was in need of an outfit for my sisters wedding with not much time to spare, and the owner Bittu was so helpful and willing to work with my budget and selection of work. They also altered my outfit as desired and steamed and packed the outfit perfectly. He does custom designing in any color, shape or form you want your dress. If I had a little more time before my sisters event I definitely would have taken up the offer but I know I will be going there multiple times in the future to do so. It is important to also note, Bittu is a great guy. I can honestly say he is not the type to over charge you or feel the need to get extra money out of you like the sellers in jackson Heights would.
