This is the second threading location in boulder that I tried and Suna is amazing! I get my whole face threaded and Suna is very attentive and makes sure that she gets every stray hair. My eyebrows were a little out of whack from the first place I tried and Suna managed to get them back to the shape I like. I have tried other places in the past and have gotten inconsistent and sometimes terrible results. However, I've been coming here for over a year, and won't go to anyone else. I highly recommend her. Let's be honest, going to any new place in which you're putting trust in someone with the details of your face can be a bit terrifying!! I did some research and discovered Sai Eyebrow Design and saw some great reviews so I decided to give her a try when I first moved to Boulder. The place is small and I almost passed right by it I didn't notice it, it's in the plaza that the DMV and Sancho's are located. Sona sat me down and I explained that I wanted to keep my brows thick/full and just to have them cleaned up. What she did that no one else had ever done for me before however, was explain a growth plan for my eyebrows. Years ago I waaaaaay over plucked them to the point where I've burned all the pictures my eyebrows were visible in lol. Needless to say it's been a long road to where I am today, and Sona has helped immensely by identifying what I need to do to help my brows out. This last time I visited her I decided to take her up on eye brow tinting and even though I trusted her I was still nervous because I had never had this done before and have heard horror stories. Sona talked me through it and we decided on a medium brown because I was afraid of them coming out too dark. THEY LOOK GREAT! To the point where I feel comfortable going out without filling in my brows, they have a great shape and the tint helps them pop (not as much if I filled them in myself but still pretty good). Attached are pictures before, during and after; and then before/after. I also had them threaded which is why they look so awesome. I think next time I'll go even darker! read more

I went in looking for guidance on how to get my eyebrows back in shape, threading and tinting. The lady that was there told me she did not do tinting and couldn't provide me guidance. She cleaned my eyebrows but did not do anything for my shape. I am not satisfied with the result, and I went with such high expectations that I am quite disappointed. read more

EXCELLENT!I I've had my eyebrows done at many places, but Christine is by far the very best! I stumbled upon her Salon after going to the DMV across the HUGE parking lot (so parking is never a problem), and wandered into the "Mall" where she is located. She's gentle and kind, and picked my mood right up after the long, long wait dealing with the driver's license folks! And, I left looking and feeling GREAT! I have been going there for years, and I don't know why it took me so long to write a review! I always pay cash, her prices are so low, so I'm not sure if she accepts credit cards or not... and I never make an appointment, either, I just swing by. I like them thick, natural, and as uniform as possible - that's exactly what I got. She is transforming them as well - allowing them to fill in in some places. She saw the potential. I was looking for a new eyebrow threading place near my work so that I could swing by there during lunch time, get my eyebrows done, and then look good for my birthday party the next day. This place is located inside a little shopping area near the Walmart Express in Boulder. As such, there was plenty of parking space. I arrived around 12:30pm and her place was empty. Her little store is very small. There is one customer chair, a desk, and one or two waiting chairs. There is no air conditioning- it was very hot. The owner was very very nice. The process messed up my eye make up and she kept telling me I could stay and use her mirror afterwards to reapply my make up. That was super nice of her. She seemed to really take her time with my eyebrows throughout the process as well. The price was $10 before tip which is reasonable. I have been to a handful of eyebrow threaders and I have loved how my eyebrows looked afterwards with all of them. However, I was not happy with my eyebrows this time. There was no arch at all - basically no shape- and I saw a lot of stray hairs that I had to pluck myself when I got home. I've never had stray hairs to pluck after a thread before. It honestly was the worst eyebrow threading result I have experienced. I was especially upset because I was having 20 people over at my house the next day to celebrate my birthday and was expecting to go all out on make up and to have naturally beautifully arched eyebrows. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Very very nice lady, but I did not like the result. read more

I discovered Kai through Yelp and saw that she had rave reviews, so I thought it was worth giving it a whirl. What a wonderful first experience! She approached the visit as a diagnostic to assess what had gone wrong with my brows and formulated a longer plan to get my eyebrows back in better condition. Not only do my eyebrows look so much better now, but I have confidence that they will look even better in time when I am able to get back what was lost by some bad threaders! Sona is amazing! My eyebrows have been miss handled since the early 90's and we've been allowed to take tweezers and matters into our own hands. She has helped me tremendously to grow them in and get my shape back. They aren't exactly where I want them to be but they have come so far! She has a shop in Longmont that I would love her to keep her business growing strong because she is truly the best at what she does and cares about what her customers want in their eyebrows. She looks at my face shape and my eyebrow shape and fixes them without making them too thin or uneven. I always trust her with my eyebrows. Upon relocation from Denver to Boulder, I was in search of a new eyebrow guru. I have always gotten my eyebrows waxed but decided to give threading and Sai a chance due to the excellent reviews here on Yelp. I am so pleased with the result, because that was nearly a year ago and she has basically transformed my thin, sparse brows into a thicker and more symmetrical shape. It has been a process, but you must trust! She even offered me a helpful tip to encourage growth where hairs are sparse - apply raw onion! Who would have thought. Prices are extremely reasonable, she is very thorough and I never feel rushed (an all-too familiar feeling in previous wax experiences). read more
