I get my eyebrows done every month but I was looking for a new place so decided to try Karm's. I called in advance for a same-day appoint and the store confirmed I could come. However, she literally spent less than 3 minutes on my brows and the whole process felt super rushed. She let me check my brows before she trimmed them too so it was hard to see what it would look like. I also realized after the appointment that she didn't clean up the top of one brow at all. I tried to go back after I checked the mirror in the car, but she was already gone. I don't think she is bad at threading but it seemed like she was in a rush and didn't do a complete job.

I sent my college daughter to Rekha for her first experience with threading today. Daughter has had…read more5+ years experience with waxing but wanted to switch to threading. She was genuinely nervous about what to expect and left after her service was performed, in tears. We chose Rekha based off of reviews and had hoped for a great first experience. The call I received from my daughter was a tearful "I never want to do that again, why did she have to be so rude to me". My daughter asked for lip and brow service, asking before and during the appointment to start with the lip service, easing her into the newness of threading. She said she was completely ignored. She has beautiful, full brows and was nervous about the shape as she was not looking to thin them. She repeatedly asked and tried to communicate with Rekha, prepared to show her a photo of her preference but she was rushed through the visit, feeling ignored and with no "voice". I am sad that this was the experience for my daughter and feel it is important to share her experiences because there are "bad days" and "busy days" but completely ignoring a clients needs or not taking time with a new patient should be brought to the attention of others looking to begin their threading journey. Change can be hard for some adults and if a client suffers from anxiety, a little empathy takes just a few extra minutes, and can be a huge way to show kindness. My daughters personal experience today was a lack of respect, an unwillingness to listen to or see (past) photos of her eyebrow shape preference and a disregard to her newness and obvious anxiety to the threading process.
