Booked a brow shaping/waxing appointment not realizing they do not allow children. I was planning to bring my infant since he would be napping (he has napped through doctors appts etc). I got a text stating the no children policy on the day of the appointment (when it was too late to cancel without penalty). I tried calling twice that morning and no one answered, so I went in and asked if it would be possible to make an exception. The technician was very nice but said I would need to reschedule. She later called me and told me that they would charge me the deposit, and if I wanted to rebook I would be charged a deposit again. The business owner refused to make an exception or allow me to rebook (and waive the deposit for the appointment). While this is technically their policy it's pretty poor business practice/customer service. It seems like they just aren't customer focused. read more

Emily did an amazing job on my brows! BB was recommended to me by a friend and I made an appt as soon as I could. Their appts full up fast, so if you want them done soon--don't wait! The office is set up as chic and comfortable. Light, airy, and calming. Emily talked me through the whole process and gave me paperwork that repeated everything she said, just in case you forget (which I did lol). And they give you the cutest little pouch with everything you will need for the next couple of weeks. She then put some numbing cream on as we discussed shape/size and expectations. Then she "drew" on my brows as an outline and got to work once I agreed on the design. I laid down and it was so peaceful (the music is a perfect chill/fun style) that I almost fell asleep. She did the first brow and it stung in the beginning, but not bad and put numbing cream on again before working on my left brow. This one was a bit more sensitive but still not bad. Numbing cream again for the second pass. Then she did some touch ups, shading, and voila! I have natural amazing, "sisters not twins" eyebrows. Thank you thank you thank you! My mom and I have gone to this place a few times to get our brows done, especially my mom. My mom wanted to get lip tinting done and put the first deposit down of $250. Two days before her appointment they sent her the forms to fill out for the procedure. My mom had some questions about the forms and was going to ask questions about it in person. Once she got there for her appointment, they refused to do the procedure because my mom had a cold soar 15 years ago and needed to get a prescription. My mom asked for a refund of the first deposit after they sent her home and they wouldn't pick up the phone. My mom went back in because they weren't answering and they told my mom to go back home because they were with customers. Later that night the owner of the salon emailed my mom and only gave her back half the refund and said she wasn't allowed back in the store ever again. All because she asked for a refund?? And came in because they weren't answering the phone?? My mom was nice to them both times about getting her money back and they were rude to her each time. My mom is a single mom and wanted to get something done for herself to make herself feel beautiful. Me nor my mom have ever experienced something like this and thought they were unprofessionally and age discriminating. read more

This is my second time getting microblading done by this shop and I have also had my lash line done. I would not trust anyone else with my face. Prior to finding Boulder Brows, I was flying to Los Angeles to get them done by now celebrity brow artist Julia Faria. I can not afford Julia anymore but let me tell you, Boulder Brows is at the same caliber (If not better ). I know, I researched high and low in Colorado for 2 years before finding Boulder Brows. I trust them 100% and they are super friendly and fun to be around. I went in for lip tint with Emily. She explained the whole process thoroughly, and was very comforting. I was a bit nervous at first, but she reassured me that it would be nearly painless and that the results are amazing! She wasn't lying! Ms. paid $600.00 for her initial and touch up visit with Boulder Brows, but left her initial visit feeling frustrated and disappointed. While Ms. brows were thicker, they were definitely not symmetrical. Upon reaching out to Boulder Brows, Ms. was rudely informed that her concerns would be addressed during the touchup visit, as that was the purpose of said appointment. Liz did my first Brow Lamination and Tint and Lash Lift and Tint. I had never done anything with my brows or eyelashes and I am afraid of anything going near my eyes. A odd phobia I have had as a kid. But, Liz was AMAZING. She walked me through the whole process and she stayed next to me the whole time and was a great conversationalist. I loved the results. I had my lips tinted just before Covid. It was the best thing I ever did. I still like to wear lipstick, but with wearing a mask all the time it's no longer necessary . I still look like I have lipstick on and nothing comes off on my mask. This review is being posted because they did not respond to my email regarding my review. So I went to their very active Instagram and left a comment in concern to getting no response. Now they blocked me on instagram. Very unprofessional of Jess and boulder brows. Please read my review and save yourself the horrid experience and lack of respect.... Eyebrows look very patchy. Inconsistent work. "Hair lines" are either not there, noticibly thick in only a few areas of hair (not just random thick lines for natural looking imperfect hair) shading is patchy. The begining of the brow on both brows are noticeably patchy, have a horizontal thick line on the under part on 1, and some hairs have a gap in between the beginning and end of the line. Have photos from before and after all 3 sessions with dates and no filter... First session went great, fluffy hairs. Second session was "shading" because "combination brows", awful. Patchy, and lost hair strokes. 3rd unexpected session I had confidence, but it has been about 3-5 weeks since and they are not "fixed" or the way they should look after beautiful quality 6-10 hours of work is done. I'm not even going to mention about the color because Jess was dishonest and told me she used the same color when she didn't, and not doing so is fine, it achieves the natural and necessary look, and not to mention I can hear and see what colors are next to me that she has and is conversating to her colleagues about. For 3 sessions worth of work and after traveling from OKC to Boulder 3 times, the $500 spent not including tip, and as much as I want to say I had a great experience, I didn't and will be looking for someone else to fix them as I have lost more than just trust to go back. Salon was beautiful and modern. Colleagues were friendly. Colleagues sat around all 3 of my sessions and complained or gossiped about other clients...it's one thing to complain about others but it's another thing to go on +10 minutes about a client in front of another one. Emily seems off to a good start, although I thought that about Jess too...sucks to have to leave a tough review but what the center of my face is going through is a lot more tough. I wanted to be able to come to Jess and Boulder Brows from here on out because she provides many different services that I love but I can't recommend boulder brows because honestly if someone saw my brows and I told them where from, they would not want to go there just based on the look of them, even if I did recommend. read more

I had the unfortunate experience of having my brows micro-bladed at BB. I now have grey/purple brows. Please ask questions and do your research. Color choice matters equally to technique & skill.
