    Chicken Pho

I ended up getting the Pho ( chicken) to go and the chicken egg rolls. The pho was really good and you get your money's worth. As for the egg rolls, I don't remember them being so small. So to me, you aren't getting your money's worth. At least they were pretty good. $22

This review is tough. The pho was pretty good but for some reason I wasn't quite enjoying it as much as others in town. By no means am I a professional pho eater. This is just my thoughts. The ambiance is pretty nice. Dark and authentic. Location is annoying because of all the weirdos wandering around outside.

Great service and and quant atmosphere. The beef banh mi was one of the best I've had for sure the best in Lafayette. The bun Bo hue was slightly spicy with a rich broth. The Hu Tieu had a rich broth that you can taste the dried seafood The soup was full of glass noodles and quail eggs. The chicken wings are amazing we got the medium spice which still had a kick but the lemon grass flavor was perfect. With all the food we had our bill was $83 and we took plenty home. Definitely one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in the area.

I have always liked Saigon, however I recently tried their BBH(spicy beef noodles) and now I am head over hills!! Every Vietnamese place I go to I always order bbh, but no place tops Saigon!!! I have strayed away from pho now and officially became a BBH girl :P Everything pictured below are my favvvvs and go to order, you can never go wrong w any of those choices. And right next door is one of thee best boba tea spot in Laffy BBH ~ like no other! Saigon wings ~ soooo freakin bomb and has a nice spicy kick to it, will have you licking all of ur fingers :P Summer roll w peanut sauce Korean short rib ~ one of thee best, perfectly charred and seasoned to perfection

    Shrimp Vermicelli Noodle Bowl.

Today my co-workers and I decided to visit our old lunch spot from a long time ago. Backstory this was the first place they took me three years ago for lunch. We celebrated Friday & the completion of their masters program. I ordered the Shrimp Vermicelli Noodle Bowl. Cindy was our waitress and she was amazing. The Vermicilli is a Vietnamese staple, this particular dish I ordered has grilled shrimp over a bed of vermicelli rice noodles and a mix of fresh vegetables topped with slice eggrolls and peanuts. I also ordered a side of sweet chili & fish sauce. To quench my thirst, I had a glass of sweet tea. Everything was delicious and we were so happy to be back. Today's meal was very inexpensive and the perfect place for lunch alone or with friends/colleagues.

Grilled pork and shrimp spring rolls, w fish sauce.

This place is amazing! Loved the spring rolls, grilled pork that was actually had some char to it but not too much. Wait staff was impeccable, even had some chili oil that I asked for to spice up the spring rolls. Delicious. I got a rice plate w grilled shrimp- did not disappoint. I'm not a huge pho person but Vietnamese food is very good and a breath of fresh air from the traditional American fare. Will be returning!

    House special pho

I have to say I get very judgey and bias when it comes to viet food, because I am viet and Chinese myself! So I know when the food is quality or not. This place is hands down quality and true to its description. Normally, when a rice dish says "Grilled pork" its usually not grilled and doesn't have that grilled flavored. However, this place does! We got the Grilled Pork Saigon Special Rice Dish and it was really good. Everything on that plate had so much flavor! I'm all about the Vietnamese flavor, if I need to dip my meat in fish sauce, then the food isn't good. Their food doesn't need to be dipped in fish sauce, because everything is already flavorful (as it should be). One bad thing is that they don't give enough rice for the amount of meat they give. If you are a big eater, I would recommend ordering a side of extra rice. I got the House Special Pho. It was good and flavorful. Not the best pho soup I had, but being in an unknown area, it didn't disappoint and fulfill me on my pho cravings.

The new name is Kham Koon Thai Restaurant & Lunch Buffet…read more Today's lunch cost $18.07 with tax (buffet & water) I tried them when it was Mimi's once and didn't go again. I decided to give them a try under the new name. It was no different. The positives is that everyone is pretty friendly and the place is clean and orderly. I will say that both times i went I tried the buffet so maybe the food is tastier from the menu. I tried several different items on the buffet and just found that it really lacked flavor. The best item was the fresh spring rolls but I was disappointed that they don't have that good peanut butter sauce to go with them. Instead, they offer what seems to be a sweet & sour sauce from a jar. The noodles were dry and bland. Both of the curry sauces were watery and didn't have much flavor at all. The meats (chicken & beef) are the typical Chinese buffet style meats instead of pieces of chicken that look like chicken. The cucumber soup and the coconut soup are both savory (just fyi). The mango sticky rice with coconut sauce dessert-not a fan at all and coconut and mango are two of my favorite flavors. Overall, it was a decent experience; no regrets for giving it a try. But, I definitely won't go again. Sad, too, because I REALLY wanted to love it!
