They were so easy to contact and provided the most incredible cheese to go with the margaritas that we brought along. None of the bridesmaids nor the bride are avid sailors (2 had never been on a sailboat) and Jeff made us feel at ease. The day had a bit of rain but cleared into a light misting for our trip and we were able to enjoy the ride without the cover for most of it. The father and son team is hilarious and kept us joking around with them the whole time. Would highly recommend their service and definitely will return soon!

We were visiting family and at the last minute one day decided to see if we could rend a pontoon…read moreboat. Emily at Ladd's Landing Marina was just terrific. She made the process easy and understandable. The 21' pontoon was the best we've ever rented. Clean, in perfect shape, and outfitted with an electronic gizmo that served as chart and depth finder. Emily took time to explain everything to us, and made sure we knew where emergency equipment was located. Had a perfect day on the water with no issues with the boat. Emily was at the gas dock when we got back and made disembarking and refueling a breeze. Bonus at Ladd's Landing is that you can stay on the East side of Grand Isle or take a left out of the marina, go under the bridge and cross to the west side of the island for sunsets. 100% recommend this business!

I spent the most relaxing week here on Lake Champlain in cottage #1 with my daughters and my dad…read more It's cozy and had two bedrooms but sleeps 8! It has a full kitchen, pots, pans, coffee machine, anything you could need and a there's a boat ramp too! There's AC but it's really not needed, even in the summer as it's so cool here on the islands of Vermont. No tv and very little reception, but it was not missed AT ALL as we spent our days outside reading on the hammock, fishing right from the dock there, boating, playing games and drinking around the campfire. This is a wonderful place to just escape it all and relax! Right outside you'll find Adirondack chairs, a picnic table, a hammock, a grill and 2 fire pits, one complete with a grate which we used for making campfire potatoes and hotdog grilling late night! So fun! The boat ramp is gravel, so a 4x4 is preferred although it is not necessary. The water is shallow at the start so wading and swimming for even little kiddos was easy and safe. The fishing was great.... small mouth bass, yellow perch and pike. The kiddos caught something the second they casted! It's a great place for the more impatient, novice fisherman. The hosts were very sweet and accommodating. They hand delivered worms to us for fishing when the local "worm guy" was out on his boat for the day. They even brought us firewood and let us use their sit in kayaks, which my girls had a blast on! They were super helpful! They were available as needed as they live at the end of the property, but not at all in our way. There's a campground for trailers on the other side of the dock and on our side, 3 houses for rent. We peeked into cabin #2 and fell in love! I would definitely come back and rent it with just my family of four. It's rustic with wooden interiors and was so cozy! Very different aesthetically from the cottage but both serve a purpose for different needs and sized families. That cabin however only has a small fridge but still a full sized kitchen. My dad has been renting here for years and always has a wonderful time. As many times as I've been to Vermont, I have never traveled these parts, and I'm happy finally to see what I've been missing, what he's been boasting about and what I now long for when I think of a getaway! I look forward to many more visits this cottage and would recommend it for anyone looking for a sweet retreat, especially boat owners! There's no additional cleaning fee, trash is collected by owners at the end of the week and the cost is very reasonable. The entire area was absolutely lovely also. There's a general store down in the center of town that has everything you need, including gas, fresh baked goods, and that Green Mountain coffee. It's there you'll find local activities on the bulletin board as well as any periodical you may want to read. There's farms nearby and lots of places for outdoor activities.There's wineries, too. It's quiet and peaceful and the loveliest little island to just relax It's very close to the Canadian Border, easily accessibly from anywhere in New England and the Adirondacks as it's just a short trip over the Plattsburgh ferry, which if coming from the south saves you quite a bit of time! Day trips to Burlington and Stowe were also very easy from this location! A stay here was one of my favorite weeks of the summer and I look forward to it again! Let me explain something about this Cottage/Suite Camp like golf resort. Lets get to the golf…read morefirst!! The course was in an 9 out of 10 for conditions in my opinion and I will explain why. Tee boxes 10, Greens 10, Fairways 8 ( little brown but still not bad, Also not all the fairways where brown neither.) Bunkers 6 ( had some rocks and where thin ), Price 10, pace 10, layout and scenery 10... Cottage 120 on 4th Fairway was fantastic, now I say fantastic because I went there knowing this wasn't a Marriott but a camping cottage. Our views of Lake Champlain where amazing and of the golf course as well. Now we did have some ant issues and Randy the Raccoon came to visit us by the fire looking for food ( he wasn't afraid of us neither.) Now why they get a 5 star review from me????? CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! This was by far the nicest group of people I have ever meet at a resort (Paul, Gary and everyone else that works there.) I believe those skills have been lost over the years but not here. The ant issue was resolved immediately and any other issue we may have had was as well. So in a nutshell, great golf, great price and a great place to relax and enjoy a fire and a cocktail.
