City tours called us and warned us of the problem and delay which was fine, as we were being picked up at our hotel. They resolved the problem quickly and our guide was there and ready to go within 15 minutes of the originally scheduled time. Our guide Lauren was fantastic! She handled the mishap with grace and without skipping a beat. City tours had to have Ubers take us from brewery to brewery which worked out perfectly fine in the end. On to the tour itself, we were a smaller group, which I loved! We stopped at 4 locations and we sampled A LOT of beer. (I don't understand the reviews saying you barely get 3 drinks because by the end of it my husband and I could barely drink the last beers) We got behind the scenes tours at 2 of the breweries. Goodwater was my personal favorite. Lauren gave us a phenomenal history lesson along the way, which I fully nerded out to. All in all, it was a really fun experience that both, my husband and I, would recommend trying!

She made the process easy and understandable. The 21' pontoon was the best we've ever rented. Clean, in perfect shape, and outfitted with an electronic gizmo that served as chart and depth finder. Emily took time to explain everything to us, and made sure we knew where emergency equipment was located. Had a perfect day on the water with no issues with the boat. Emily was at the gas dock when we got back and made disembarking and refueling a breeze. Bonus at Ladd's Landing is that you can stay on the East side of Grand Isle or take a left out of the marina, go under the bridge and cross to the west side of the island for sunsets. 100% recommend this business!

The roughs are not as comparable as some of the fancier more expensive courses around. The greens are good, some of which are very tricky. They can be a bit inconsistent though depending on the sun with some being very fast and some being very slow. The sand traps are in pretty good shape and overall the course has enough interest to play repeatedly as a member or non-member. Speaking of membership, it's one of the more affordable ones around. For seniors who use the senior tees, the course is quite playable. But if you want longer distance, for the majority of the holes, if you play from the back tees the distance should more than suffice. Fairways are in excellent shape with a dearth of water hazards (maybe 3 on the hole course). Water is less of a challenge than sand but there are some elevation changes to keep things interesting. The back 9 has a little more variety and is a little more challenging. Customer service is generally good but can vary. Clubhouse is fairly basic but has a decent choice of food. This is strictly a golf club, not a country club with pools and tennis courts and the prices reflect this. All in all, the course doesn't beat you up and you can go away with a sense of playing a good round of golf even if you aren't familiar with it. I would certainly recommend this course as a very solid public course. Lastly, their updated practice facilities are very good (as good as any you'll find around) and the ball machine with the tracker technology is pretty fun if you are looking to hit a few at the range.

Stunning bridal suite. Plenty of space. That is why we originally selected it as our wedding venue. What we didn't know at the time is that we were hiring some of the best wedding professionals in the business - the dynamic duo of Steve & Jenn. I am not exaggerating when I say I'd get married pretty much anywhere as long as they were running the show. Let me start with how incredibly responsive they were. As a wedding vendor also, this is something I greatly appreciate. I would ask a question and get a response usually within 10 minutes. Jenn & Steve made everything pretty effortless for us. Steve helped us with bar selections, table lay out and set up specialty cocktails. Jenn coordinated with all of our vendors for arrival times, set up and take down. We were able to drop off all of our decor on a Wednesday and Jenn had it all set up when we came Friday for our rehearsal. What a special treat for our bridal party and close family to be able to preview the venue with the majority of the decor set up. A review of our wedding day: we had downpours in the morning and in to the afternoon. The team at the Barn set up for an indoor ceremony just in case. Our ceremony was at 4:30pm and downpours came again at 4:15. As I (the bride) was coming down the stairs the clouds parted and I gave the nod to have the ceremony outside - probably right at 4:30pm. Jenn had the team dry off chairs outside not once, but twice after 4pm and we were able to have our ceremony outside, just as we had envisioned. I doubt you will find this level of flexibility anywhere else where you can literally make the call at the very last minute - it meant everything to us to be able to get married with the mountains in the background. The rest of the night was absolutely flawless. Steve made sure to bring us cocktails during dinner, Jenn brought us an array of apps so we could enjoy our cocktail hour while photos were being taken. I had no idea what time it was all throughout the night, but Jenn made sure things were executed on time. She clearly is a professional and seems so chill but is also so organized and direct when she needs to be. The Barn is no doubt the best place to get married in Vermont. I wish I could do it all over again - every moment was absolutely magical.
