Complete Family Wellness has changed my life! After seeing 9 doctors and specialists within 12…read moremonths, I was ready to give up on the idea that there were any medical professionals left who would care to help me, let alone just listen to me before making medical decisions. Prior to my first appointment, I made the decision that Complete Family Wellness would be my last attempt at finding a medical professional to help me. The owner, and my provider Helen Muchow FNP-BC, FPA, APRN, MSN, changed my quality of life from 5% to 80% in my FIRST visit. We are currently working on the other 20% (mostly due to medical insurance roadblocks). Helen was not only professional, but actually LISTENED to every word I was saying, then took that information and developed a care plan WITH me, instead of just telling me what to do and sending me on my way with a prescription. I've been seeing Helen for over a year now, and her quality of care has not changed, even as she has taken over her staff's caseload as she is on maternity leave. I was a medical provider myself, so I understand the back-end (billing, insurance, etc). She does not rush through my appointment, like every other doctor/specialist I've seen, just to be able to see more patients in a day= more $$= $$ above "doing no harm." Most insurance companies will pay a higher rate for the first 15 minutes of an appointment, and a lower rate is paid for any time over 15 minutes. Helen takes the time to get her job done- above and beyond! Complete Family Wellness also has an on-site lab, so most standard blood work, and other labs can be done right away, during your appointment. Did I mention? Complete Family Wellness also has MOBILE services! They will come to you, in the comfort of your own home. Additionally, Helen is a veteran and accepts military insurance (Tricare West), which many providers do not accept due to Tricare's very low rates- yet another way she demonstrates how dedicated she is in helping people, and not treating us like cogs. On top of all this, Complete Family Wellness's staff are professional, very prompt in responding to any problems that come up between appointments, and make you feel like you matter!

Office manager Anne W. is a piece of work. She lied to and about me, called police to my house…read more(huh???) and blocked me on the patient portal for many hours. Even my insurance company says they've never dealt with anyone like her. Sadly, I fear my FPN Jamie Basten also did not have my wellbeing in mind judging from her unresponsiveness to my medication needs. Helen is a no go, too. I would strongly urge you to look elsewhere for a committed provider.

This doctor is useless, he only cares about making another appointment and making you wait…read more I had 1:20 appointment, explained everything to the nurse, and she said to make sure you let the doctor crook know about your issues. 50 minutes later, when Doctor croock came, he started repeating what the nurse had already asked me. When I tried to explain my issue, he said you are only here for physical today. To discuss any new issue, you have to make a new appointment. He said he doesn't have time today and that he has other patients waiting. I said, "How can I let you finish the physical without explaining my issues to you?" I was so upset, and he would not listen. I got up and walked out. He came in halway to get me back in room. I said no....I will never go back to him or this office. He is so rude and unprofessional.

In order to save the office time I asked for them to take us both at the same time. (So much for trying to help them) A nurse came in and took our vitals and information. She left at 1:20 and said the doctor would be in shortly. Ten minutes later and still no doctor. Nurse popped back in and sez the doctor always runs a few minutes late. It is now 1:55 and still no doctor!!! This is not acceptable. Our time is important too. This was a meet and greet as we had just moved to the area. We will never recommend this doctor to anyone. We left and won't be back.

My dad changed family practioners on us while we were in high school, something having to do with…read morethe insurance and our PPO. And to make a long story short, my dad decided that Dr. Parks was going to be our family practioner from there on out. Dr. Parks operates a stand alone office in Cary, which is convenient to get to if you live in that area. Dr. Parks' office looks like it is trapped in the 50's, which is odd considering that when I went to him in high school, I think he was in his 40's. But, his office had old school everything; from the office and exam room furniture, to the wood paneling, all the way up to his medical practices. The guy was a moron, and told me in high school that I needed to lose weight (this coming from a man who was well beyond 50 pounds obese himself, and I was told by a friend who worked for him that he kept a "stash" of junk food in his desk drawers in his office, which didn't surprise me). And why should you refer me to a specialist to have my tonsils removed in high school (after YEARS of continual strep throat infections and an allergy to penicillin) when I can suffer from strep throat over the next 4 years of college, until finally, I had to get an emergency removal because my tonsils were so infected that they were actually touching each other and blocking my breathing?! This guy knows about as much about medicine as I know about nuclear physics. I think I could do a better job practicing medicine at his office, and I don't have a ho-ho addiction.

I had a severe heel pain of my right leg for weeks and my husband made an appointment to see Dr…read more Cohn. He was his patient. I dealt with 3 people during this appointment and don't know the names of 2, the receptionist and the medical assistant to Dr. Cohn. I arrived on time at 1pm. While the receptionist was friendly, the medical assistant was soft spoken. Perhaps I am going deaf so I wasn't listening to instructions well. After the Xray before meeting Dr. Cohn, I was seated on a raised comfy chair. I was then told that the wait would be awhile. THAT took 40minutes. I prompted Dr. Cohn as to why the long wait. He was on a phone call with his boss. All I can say is I hope that call helped his issues while taking up my time (I should be charging him for the wait). After discussing what my issue was, he told me that I have tendonitis and that entails professional physical therapy, self exercise, Imodium medication, a pair of $55 "out of pocket" shoe inserts (ouch!) and a foot brace. The medical assistant asked what shoe size I wear and brought in a foot brace and the inserts. She took out the brace n fitted it on the "injured" foot. She DID NOT demonstrate on the use of all the buckled and velcro straps in details but did stress that my heel has to sit right up at the L of the brace. After examining the shoe insert, I decided that I was not in a hurry to invest in that and that a cheaper good quality version of that can be bought from Walmart, CVS or Walgreens. I picked up my Imodium and after arriving home, I tried the brace but could not figure out some of parts of the brace. Thank goodness for the You Tube channel, I found a demonstration on how to use the brace. I wonder how much I would have to pay for the brace after insurance deductions. The medical assistant needs to be told that some patients are not technology savvy and would not know to go to sources to see how gadgets are used. She seemed bored with her job. I left around 2.15.

Dr cohn amazing reception Deann awesome however receptionist Kelly needs to learn about HIPPA…read moreregulations she decided to discuss my husband account in the open with other patients in the waiting arean unacceptable umm I'm a receptionist in the health care field I accept co pays and ask is there anything else they would like to pay I never go into details about their past dues etc we have a billing department for that if kelly chooses to embarass patients about their past due balances maybe she should go to coding and billing but this is not her job she is a receptionist unless the patient ask about their balances or your trying to help them. You cant send my husband his bill via email because of HIPPA but you can discuss it out in the open with out him asking to make a point to him not knowing if we have a financial situation with a sick child etc its called stick to being a receptionist!!! And keep it professional learn to be kind you never know what people are going through

They are professional and at the same time construct a safe atmosphere for healing. At the cornerstone of Main St. Psychiatry's practice is Joanne Parks, M.D. In my opinion Dr. Parks is a highly skilled psychiatrist. She brings a myriad of skills including a very extensive medical background. She brings warmth and empathy to her patients Dr. Parks has helped me feel safe and able to grow. She validates patients'feelings . I believe Dr. Parks treats her patients, her staff and other parties with respect. She definitely goes the extra mile to help her patients She works extremely hard to meet her patients' needs. In this vein I emphasize that Dr. Parks is an excellent practitioner who exceeds expectations. I have always felt her care for me and my needs. Further she respects me. And she supports me. She carefully handles all matters, especially those that are sensitive Main St Psychiatry and Dr. Parks offer services beyond therapy and medication. At the center of these additional services are a treatment called Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) TMS is a series of procedures that uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain It's called a noninvasive procedure because it's done without using surgery or cutting. I have had TMS at Main St. and found it to bevery helpful. Overall, I would definately highly recommend Dr. Parks and Main. St. Psychiatry.
