While spending a week in London, M & S quickly became a favorite to not only pick up food gifts,…read morebut also food kits that I could easily cook in my apartment and already prepared foods like salads, charcuterie, cheese plates, desserts, and more. Here's a short list of things I bought: jelly donuts (comes in a 6 pack), decaf Earl Grey tea, mango, pineapple, lime infusion tea, peashoot stir-fry kit, pad thai sauce, chickpea flour to make socca (pancake/flatbread), Nespresso-like coffee pods, ginger biscuits, chocolate bars, drinking cocoa, saucison with truffle, dried chorizo chips, golden marzipan for cakes, and much more. Even a month after the trip, I still think about the British cheese plate. Prices weren't outrageous. For example, a box of tea bags cost US$3.50 and 1 kg of chickpea flour was US$2.60. Paying by phone was easy and quick and I bring my own bag. For my next trip to London, I will be heading to M & S.
