Even though I vastly prefer M&S, Waitrose and boutique shops over Tescos, the local branch is closer than everything else so sometimes convenience wins out. Usually the determination on whether or not to go into Tescos is pretty simple: Am I getting a mass produced thing in a can or a box? Tescos is fine. Otherwise, head elsewhere. The produce and meat here is definitely inferior to the nicer stores so you'll want to skip that entirely. Sometimes I can't be bothered so I'll get some meal deal thing here but make no mistake the sandwiches and wraps are several orders of magnitude inferior to M&S so you're going to get what you pay for; if you actually exit a store with "Korean BBQ wrap with cheddar and bacon" then you get what you deserve! I should add that the service at this Tescos is way, way better than some of the smaller stores.

Normally I went to there but some wines, and I have used ID copies in my phone with post office certified. It always works. However, one day I used the same ID from my phone, they don't accept it anymore. No sorry, no explanation, just rude way. Treat me like a second class citizen. I bet they don't ask everybody else for the real ID. P.s. I am a 36 ys old mother with two kids, I do not think they can't tell that I am older than 20ys old from my appearance. Just across the road from the main entrance to Holland Park, this is a relatively small Waitrose, but still has a good selection of fresh produce, and a fair range of everyday groceries. I often pop in when in the area, as I like the quality of the vegetables especially. I have found the service to be much improved of late so have been happy to shop there, as well as buying Waitrose / John Lewis gift vouchers as reliable and simple presents! (NB there are check-outs at both the Kensington High Street and Earl's Court Road exits, so if one area is busy you can always use the other!).

Interestingly, this store appears to be smaller than your regular Waitrose store but larger (yet sadly less modern) than typical Little Waitrose stores. It isn't completely rubbish and is a useful brand to have within the centre of Islington (Liverpool Road shops) and I do prefer it to Marks and Spencer nearby but that's pretty much where the positives end. 2*

It has a cafe, a currency exchange, mini branches of Argos, Habitat and upstairs a Tu clothing range. Fresh food counters include a Bakery, Deli, Fish Counter, Hot Food Counter, Meat Counter, Pizza Counter and a Sushi Bar. There's also a homewares and small electricals section, which runs as far as selling TVs. On my visits, I've always found the checkouts to be a little slow, and the Tu store could with a few more staff (the men's formal shirts section was s bit of a mess). Otherwise, it's good for a one-stop grocery shop.

Their pastries and desserts are always tantalizing and their fresh juices section is expansive, with yummy selections like Coconut, Pineapple, and Mango smoothies, and cold-pressed fruit & vegetable juices. If I missed a meal or needed to grab a snack, I walked into here after getting off the tube and before I was going to my room. I enjoyed the selection they had and found amusement in the American section. I also like the self check outs, making it easier to get out of here once I made my selections.

On Friday, and because they didn't refund my money, I wrote to the customer service WhatsApp, and they texted me that in the deposit they forgot to make the refund, I complained because 5 days had already passed, and they told me that they would make the refund this same day. The day after, without a refund, I wrote again, and they tell me that I have to wait 3 to 5 more days. What rubbish company is this?. this is a robbery, no other supermarket charges you for a purchase until you receive it, and Tesco does it, bill you for the purchase, or keeps your money unless you claim it.

It is confusing because the alleys don't seem to have any logical order and everything looks a bit mixed, but the range of products you can find there is good and varied. It is not too busy, so is a good place to do your shopping without waiting in lines for hours!

But THIS sainsbury's has an overwhelming amount of customers. Otherwise, as a Sainsburys goes, it's a good grocery store chain. Reasonable prices (not cheap, but not ridiculous) and they give you points for shopping there. and they have a pretty wide selection. Advice for visitors: like the vast majority of stores in the UK, make sure you bring your own bag or you will be charged for one.
