I had a BBQ here once I had to get here early and they is information on when you need to reserve a spot. I see that they installed EV charging units with solar panels. This is an upgrade because Electric Vehicles weren't able to get a charge before. Believe it or not, this place provides opportunities for kite flyers, if I'm not mistaken, I may have flew one here once. The bathroom were decent but people over packed the trash cans around the track which is very unattractive but hey, it takes Every Kinda People, to make this world go around, Robert Palmer said that, I didn't. Lots of choices in produce including some very unique and hard to find item. The disappointment was with the food. The market opened at 9 and when we approached the Trini Treats Queens ( no signage but it is the only food vendor for food other than an Empanada booth that was clearly marked ). The vendor wasn't approachable at all as she was busy doing things. Another visitor asked her something and got a not so pleasant response. Then she looked at us ( we had been standing there for a minute or two ) and said she is ready to open yet. With her unpleasant response ( from a small business owner ) we walked away. This is by no means reflection on the operation the market, just the individual vendor. We never did get our doubles and we will unliking to come back.

There are no sharp inclines or steep, rocky hills. I like to walk these trails to admire nature and all it's worth. The lake that I came across while walking today made me want to jump in and swim(not sure if that's allowed). Aside from the trails, there are other little playgrounds in the area that might appeal to children.

I like the availability of car parking and multiple entrances, though some trails are better than others. The best part that I enjoy in this park is it marks the start/end of the Vanderbilt Motor Parkway trail path, it is historic, a scenic trail for walking, running, and biking, a beautiful, green space that offers a break from the city, and the paved path connects it to other parks. The trail path extends about 3 miles which makes it a 6 miles trekking distance out and back. In most weekend mornings, there is a great chance that you might see me walking/biking on this trail, so, see you there.

The sound was good and there were two jumbo projectors that ensured the whole crowd can see what's going on. The park was very clean and orderly. Going through security was a breeze and no headaches. We were able to bring our own chairs and small cooler for water and drinks. It was crowded but the energy was amazing and respectful. I came for the last installment but I will definitely be back to this park if there is more to come.

I enjoyed the free De La Soul show here, which had good sound quality and a pleasant setup where you could opt for a close-up viewing of Eye Know and Me Myself and I or just roam around and still hear it. I wish I remembered who had the Yelp reviews that mostly focused on bathrooms, but park regulars know about the bathroom sort of near the LIRR train. It's not as glamorous or as clean as Bryant Park but it's mostly ok and open later than one might expect. The park isn't offering a wilderness facsimile like parts of Prospect Park but you can see birds and there are nice plants. The Unisphere is legendary.
