On my new patient appt, he ended up finding a troubling spot on my arm that he had biopsied, which came back as atypical. He needed to remove the rest of it and did that work for free. I probably wouldn't have noticed that spot without him--felt very lucky. He's a great doctor and a nice person. I feel lucky to have found a new doctor that I love (and I'm very picky!!!).

After a few sessions I asked him if he thought I had it (the whole reason of me seeking therapy). He said only a psychiatrist can diagnose OCD (which is false). I did more research on my own and asked if he did ERP. He didn't even know what it was. He overshares in sessions, frequently mentioning his own past and trauma. I think I know more about his life than he knows about mine. When I started talking about safety, he said out of a scale of 0 to 5 (5 being feeling completely safe) he said he "never gets above a 4" because he's "been through too much." Which completely obliterated any faith I had that he might be a safe container. Why the hell would I feel safe sharing with someone who themselves doesn't feel safe?? He kept on saying he had treated people for "a number of years." When I asked how long that was he said 4. I wouldn't trust him to treat any number of things on his profile. He is more limited as a therapist than he markets himself. I wouldn't recommend him and I have zero interest in shopping for other therapists at this practice. I would have given him one star but his receptionist was very sweet, responsive, and made it easy to make and reschedule appointments on the phone and by email.

The gals up front always welcome me (by name!) and with a smile, making me feel like I belong there (and I believe I do!). They make me feel right at home and I always look forward to seeing them. Stephanie is so kind, compassionate and adept. She offers a multitude of services from general healthcare to alternative practices (acupuncture, needling, etc). I love her holistic healing approach and that she speaks my language (meaning she hears what I say and knows how to take care of me!) And then there's Mariah. She is an amazing physical therapist and so patient with me when I forget to do my list of "chores" (ie: exercises). She has been working me over (in a good way!) on a regular basis for some time now. She's spunky and fun (who thought PT could be fun?!). We walked in and we were instantly greeted by the nice receptionist. She got us all checked in, updated my husband's insurance information and billing. And then we chilled in the waiting area. We were called back by the nurse. She took my husband's vitals and asked us if we had any medical concerns. She was really kind! Nurse Niki did a great job getting my husband's appointment started. Today was our first initial visit with Dr. Mohamed. He was fantastic! Dr. Mohamed was very thorough. He was very attentive and was very engaged. I appreciate that he took his time with the appointment. He didn't rush us, made sure he covered all of our questions and concerns. It was a breathe of fresh air to have a dr taking his time for his patient. If you're looking for a new primary dr, I would recommend Dr. Mohamed.

The doctors and nurses were okay, but billing is a nightmare. I didn't find out how bad until an…read moreissue with insurance outside my control (a different family member's CoB) lead to a delay in payments. An insurance rep even called to inform them of the delay so they wouldn't give me any problems. Unfortunately the fun was only beginning. Billing has a policy of only including specific dates of service and a list of services with the first bill. Even cross-referencing the first bill, subsequent bills were impossible to make sense of because the amounts and dates kept changing. Even after the insurance issue was resolved, one twin's wellness visit was still getting denied. Insurance reps said they were billing incorrectly. The first billing rep I spoke with also noted discrepancies in how each visit was billed. I used to review claims for a health insurance company, too, and knew they were billing with the wrong codes. Sometimes mistakes are made on the insurance side, but this was not one of those times. The last time I spoke with a billing rep, they were very uppity and denied making any mistakes. Once again, a rep from my insurance company called them directly. The bill was resubmitted and paid, with the exception of hospital services for what I thought was a routine blood test for the younger twin. Whatever. I was tired of arguing at that point. One other thing: visits would last forever, about an hour per child, and most of that time was spent sitting and waiting in the exam room. Imagine how fun that was with both children in their terrible twos and threes. There's a lot of things I'll miss about Boise; this place is not one of them. They can't be faulted for the initial delay, but billing policies and poor customer service are on them.

I went in days before my appointment missed my appointment. Stephanie Dr Crownovers RN saw me. The next time they spoke she told him how I wasn't acting right, my skin color was not good, I was glassy eyed. He said called him and get him in here. That busy people would take time out of their day to be concerned about someone that most practices would consider just another patient amazes me. The story gets better, I went in and Dr Crownover did blood tests in house. Who has a lab in their Practice TV Medicine does. In a short time He told me to go to a certain place because they work with my insurance better and cost less. He was truly concerned about me from my health to finances. About 30 minutes later getting a CT scan. Dr Crownover himself calls me and tells me that someone needs to take me to the hospital. At the hospital I am told that I may not survive. I had a mess in my liver that was over 30cm in diameter. It had filled my body with ammonia I was in trouble. The hospital did a good job of helping me get my health turned around. I was sent home after the hospital had told me that their home care manager had set up everything and I was good to go home and people would be calling and setting up taking care of my home care needs. About a week later and no one has called I have no idea who to call. My wife called and Spoke with Michaela and Stephanie. They have stepped in and taken such good care of me. I have no words to say thank you big enough. Other than to say you have saved my life.
