As for short term needs that either do not have any refill or possibly just one, we usually have them sent to a pharmacy closer to our home. Because this pharmacy is located right inside the Henry Ford Medical Center in Troy where we go for Doctor appointments, occasionally it is convenient to fill a one-time prescription here to be picked up on our way out. Recently we had a prescription sent for mail delivery for an upcoming appointment and we forgot about it until the day before the appointment when we realized it had not arrived. We tried to fill it at our local pharmacy but they couldn't fill it until one day too late. We then contacted this Henry Ford Pharmacy and they had it in stock and would have it ready for pickup in 30 minutes. In the past they have also had medicine we needed in stock and handled by efficient and friendly staff. I have to remember that they are always ready to help with our needs!

They have taken great care of our family for years and are nothing but efficient, supportive, there to answer questions, affordable, quick and reliable - all the things that CVS isn't. We will be sure that our doctors don't mistakenly send RXs to CVS again. The recent issue with CVS points to what a difference there is between community and corporate pharmacies. Notre Dame takes care of customers like family - the opposite of corporate CVS, which makes it nearly impossible to talk to someone by phone and in our case hung up on our doctor's office as they tried to explain the how to correct the mistake CVS pharmacy had made.
