My teachers became second parents. The faith is taught every day, in every classroom. We would pray the rosary every day, and every Friday the whole school goes to mass. During my first semester at college, I had an A+ in college level mathematics, and an A in college writing. I know that my education at PPA prepared me very well for college. I love this school. I can't wait to send my own children here someday.

The education is terrible considering what you are paying. This school teaches you your faith while giving examples of how a catholic should not be behave. The teachers constantly would make fun or scream at the students in front of the whole school (it's extremely small) instead of nicely taking them aside and confronting them about the personal issue. I cried at least once a week after school and had such bad anxiety before class because of how mean the teachers were. There is also a very bad favoritism problem. Your grade is solely based on how favorited you are and if the teachers don't like you than you're screwed. Instead of detention, like a normal school, the make you do yard work for a week during your recess and lunch ( that whole week you don't get recess or lunch because you raking leaves in the front). When I transferred to my other high school in 2019 I was embarrassed on how little I knew and I had to be held back. the pandemic hit after I transferred and I am so mad that my only school memories are from this shit school. Overall you'd be better off at Public school or homeschooled because you learn nothing here besides exactly opposite of what God would want.

What made this experience especially meaningful is that Pastor Tye also officiated my grandmother's memorial service nearly ten years ago. To have him return and help us honor my grandfather brought a beautiful sense of continuity to our family's story. It felt less like hiring a pastor and more like welcoming back someone who already knew our family and genuinely cared for us. From the very beginning, Pastor Tye became far more than the officiant for the service. He became a trusted counselor, coach, and spiritual guide throughout the planning process. Over the course of several weeks, he invested significant time meeting with our family, talking through my grandfather's life, exchanging phone calls, emails, and text messages, and helping us thoughtfully prepare a Celebration of Life that truly reflected the man we were honoring. He listened carefully, asked meaningful questions, and took the time to understand not only what my grandfather accomplished, but who he was. One of the things that stood out most was Pastor Tye's willingness to help us navigate the many moving pieces involved in planning the service. He worked alongside our family through unexpected challenges, offered wise counsel when decisions needed to be made, and consistently brought a calm, steady presence that gave us confidence throughout the process. When the day of the Celebration of Life arrived, Pastor Tye delivered a message that perfectly captured the heart of my grandfather. He honored Roger's unwavering Christian faith, his military service in Vietnam, his lifelong commitment to Alcoholics Anonymous, and the countless men he mentored toward sobriety and a better life. He helped those in attendance understand not only what my grandfather did, but why he lived the way he did. Perhaps what impressed me most was Pastor Tye's ability to balance heartfelt remembrance with joy. While acknowledging the sadness of losing someone we love, he continually reminded everyone that this was a celebration of a life well lived. He naturally wove together Scripture, personal stories, laughter, and moments of reflection that allowed us to grieve, smile, laugh, and celebrate--all within the same service. One detail that deeply touched our family was learning that Pastor Tye still had notes from my grandmother's memorial service nearly ten years earlier, including conversations he had with my grandfather while preparing to honor her life. Being able to thoughtfully connect those memories into my grandfather's service created a beautiful sense of continuity that meant more to our family than words can express. Throughout the entire process, Pastor Tye exemplified what a shepherd should be. He led with humility, wisdom, compassion, and a genuine servant's heart. His love for Christ was evident not only in what he preached but in how he cared for our family before, during, and after the service. Pastor Tye didn't simply tell the story of my grandfather's life--he helped everyone in attendance understand the legacy my grandfather leaves behind. To Pastor Tye, thank you for helping us honor my grandfather with such dignity, authenticity, and grace. Thank you for investing in our family, for faithfully pointing us toward Christ, and for reminding us that while we grieve, we also celebrate the hope we have in Him. Your ministry has now touched two generations of our family, and we will always be grateful. If your family is looking for someone to officiate a funeral, memorial service, or Celebration of Life, I cannot recommend Dr. Tye McClain highly enough. He is far more than an officiant--he is a pastor in the truest sense of the word, a compassionate shepherd who walks alongside families during life's most difficult moments while faithfully pointing them toward hope in Christ.

They welcome all Evangelical Christians with the understanding that the classroom and Biblical instruction is taught from the perspective of the Westminster Standards and Reformed Confessions of Faith. In addition, the Administrators, School Board (with multiple parents serving) and Teachers really value parent involvement. My spouse and I are involved and our input is appreciated. If you are looking for a co-op-like school that you can be involved with -- CCA is for you! My child's Kindergarten teacher was very receptive to working with me. Last year my child learned to read, write (handwrite and cursive), was doing addition and subtraction. He grew tremendously in confidence and sense of self. My child also memorized multiple poems and Bible verses during the year in addition to 60+ questions and answers of the Catechism for Young Children. The staff creates an environment where all of the children, grades K-8, encourage and support one another. When my son comes to school, the other kids run up to the gate jumping up and down to welcome him. He loves school! The teachers helped to fuel my child's interests as well. All of the students presented in their Science Fair last year, including the Kinders, and my child LOVED it because he is really excited about science. The school sets aside specific days for the arts and PE and the students perform (music and drama!) each year. We are going to start our second year with CCA. We are so excited to have some new teachers this year too! Check it out :)

I'm incredibly proud of him, and I often catch myself admiring qualities in him that remind me I still have things to learn myself. I truly believe so much of that is because of St. Catherine's. To him, it isn't just a school; it's an extension of our family. Knowing he has such a strong support system there gives me confidence that he'll continue to thrive and go far in life. One thing people often misunderstand is the military program. It's not there to reform boys; it's there to teach discipline, structure, sacrifice, accountability, and the value of strong camaraderie. Those are lessons that shape character for a lifetime. SCA has helped mold my brother into someone I genuinely look up to, despite being more than 20 years older than him. You can't put a price on that. He is kind, levelheaded, stoic, devoted, respectful to everyone he meets, and carries himself with a maturity far beyond his years. Those qualities are a reflection of the values that St. Catherine's has helped instill in him, and for that, I will always be grateful.

The dedicated teachers and staff set high academic expectations while helping students develop strong character, leadership skills, discipline, and respect for others. The military-style program encourages responsibility, confidence, and teamwork, while the Catholic values taught each day help students grow spiritually and morally. As a parent, I feel confident knowing my son is receiving a well-rounded education that prepares him for future success both in and out of the classroom. I highly recommend this school to families seeking a nurturing, disciplined, and academically excellent environment for their son.

The church itself is beautiful, I've never attended mass here so I can't say how it is. The immersive experience was very nice and very informative. I had made an oath and felt genuinely called to go pray. When I arrived, Mass was already in progress, but I only intended to quietly join for a few minutes. As I walked in, an older woman at the front stopped me. I was wearing a hat, which I planned to remove once I sat down, but before I could do that, she told me I wasn't allowed to enter. I asked why, explaining that I just wanted to pray and be part of the service. She refused and told me I couldn't come in. Then, she went as far as to physically hit my hat and told me I was being disrespectful. I asked again if she was seriously denying me access to join the Mass and pray, and she said yes. She told me to go to the chapel instead if I wanted to pray. I've never experienced anything like this before especially in a place that's supposed to be open to anyone seeking God. It felt wrong to be turned away like that when all I wanted was to pray and express gratitude.
