However today on the phone I was given the real poo-poo treatment, even though I am calling about a serious personal medical issue that is hard to even discuss. The medical assistant didn't introduce herself, was short, rude, and curt before I could even open my mouth. Now I can only imagine what a horrible job it is to triage inbound calls in Baltimore City to a law firm, however it's pretty easy to tell that I am a well informed patient with a college degree, not some Shmoe jumping in front of a bus. A paralegal should be able to figure that out and adjust their tone accordingly . She said I didn't have a case- which may or may not maybe right- but she wouldn't take 30 sec to clearly explain why, she was grandstanding and actually using legal jargon . Next firm I call, completely different experience--courtesy, understanding, clarity, and all within 2 mins of his time. I don't understand how the image and practice could be so different.

Unfortunately the perpetrator of this act was not held responsible as the victim, my dear husband, died. However, immediately after the incident we had engaged the counsel services of Ms. Ortega. Chelsea went out of her way to ensure that the incidents of that day were thoroughly documented, witnesses procured, photographs cataloged, etc. In addition, all documents needed to make sure that the events leading up to the attack, the medical care needed, and after he passed away were clearly identified. At this point our only recourse was to attempt to receive a settlement from our auto insurance company. Of course nothing could have brought him back, but the suffering he endured as well as my pain of loss demanded some sort of compensation. The process was painful, reliving the incident, reviewing the terrible photos and the discussion in general. Chelsea made sure that I was prepared through all of these meetings. Ultimately we resolved the case out of court through the mediation process. Chelsea was firm with the opposing counsel, yet her main concern was my welfare. That I was happy with the outcome. I don't know where or how I stumbled across Todd but probably because of reviews like these that gave me the confirmation to go ahead and contact him for his services and I hope this review can help someone else in the future too. I don't know Todd on a personal level and I am embarrassed to say I don't even know what Todd looks like. All our interactions have been via email or over the phone and I typically prefer face-to-face meetings but Todd was extremely easy to work with and very responsive that I did not even need to meet the guy! For those who need additional details, I reached out to Todd via email for an initial consultation to see if he could provide his services to help me with my home purchase in Baltimore City. Being a first-time homebuyer, there are many things you don't know and you can easily be taken advantage of if you are not cautious and you don't have someone supporting you. The real estate law in Maryland can be tough and the contracts can be over 50+ pages! So I contacted Todd and asked him a few things and he responded within a few hours the same day/night (in the wee hours of the morning mind you) even though he was just coming back from vacation. Todd responded that he could and would and asked me to forward him the contract, without a single request for payment. I being a reasonable person understand that lawyers are a dime a dozen and they are not free so I asked for his cost and he told me his rates and how many hours he typically bills. We went back and forth a few times over email and he answered all my questions and was completely honest and fair. He then asked me to send over my contract before I signed it and he would review it for me. He reviewed the contract within a day and not only did he do all of that and more, he did not even charge me a single penny! He told me everything in the contract was standard and his services were not required in my situation and gave me a few pointers to move forward. I kept Todd in my contacts and I consulted him once or twice more along the way. He gave me excellent recommendations for inspectors and insurance agents and I used them and they were fabulous and just as easy and professional to work with. A couple of weeks before closing, Todd even reached back out to me and asked if I needed anything further for my purchase. We spoke over the phone this one time, and he was extremely helpful and listened to everything I asked and gave me suggestions. At this point I was completely shocked and thanked Todd tremendously. Lawyers are not cheap by any means and many won't even respond without establishing an attorney-client relationship first. Todd took it upon himself to help me and close all the loops without expecting anything in return. In addition, I learned from Facebook that Todd is also a great community guy and willing to help the people in the neighborhood. Todd works with realtors and insurance agents to provide workshops and information sessions for interested buyers, which is extremely great for new and inexperienced buyers. I'm sure Todd gets plenty of clients and does not need my referral or anything, but I want people to know what to expect and what they will be dealing with, and that is a wonderful and honest guy who goes the extra mile. My brother and I had been separated 22 years ago. I had very limited information and a needed to find him as soon as possible. Our father had passed away in April the year prior and his last words with me were a request; a promise really. He begged me to find my brother and let him know he died a good and decent man. You see, my father had married once before my mother and his dear wife died in a car crash. The three children they shared were all in the back seat. Such a horrible thing to witness as an early tween. Back then, it was very uncommon for fathers to raise children when the wife was deceased. It was more common practice for the wife's family to raise the children with the involvement of the father. Sadly, the family moved away without informing my dad. He searched to no avail. Over the years there were intermittent moments of contact , just to lose touch again. In 1995, by happenstance, I connected with my brother (there were 2 sisters and 1 brother). We spent a few months writing to each other and one weekend camping with our children. His 5 children and my 3 children. My father was overjoyed to reconnect and speak to his son. Alas, once again, we lost touch. Time passed, I searched the web with the information I had to no avail. Once my father passed on, I was driven by a daughter's promise. So, after 19 years, a year old promise to my dad, I contacted Mr. Kaszak. We met at a Starbucks close to my home so that I would not be troubled by travel. I gave him my pathetic tidbits of information which he assured me were very valuable and that often, people think that what they know is nothing special when it is the essential missing pieces to the trained professional. I submitted payment and we parted company. Early the following morning, my phone rang, I was surprised it was Chris Kaszak. Surely, he needed more information or was going to tell me my case was as hopeless as I found it to be. Imagine my shock when he informed me that not only had he found my brother via my sister-in-law, he had spoken to my brother. Chris could not give me my brother's information, he has strict rules about honoring privacy, nor would he give my brother my information without my direct expressed permission. Of corse, I said, "Yes, please have him call me!" We hung up and within mere minutes, my phone rang, again I answered and this time the voice on the other end of the line belonged to my big brother. I was shocked! It took less than 24 hours! I had tried on my own for years. We spoke for hours and have been close from that day to this. Chris had a policy that if he found your loved one in a certain period of time, you received a portion of your money back. Just as, if it took longer than a set period in time, he would reluctantly have to request more funds...should he have to fly to an area and beat the pavement for his clients. In my case, he was to return money to me. Now, no one would have known how quickly or how slowly his search took for my brother. When I mentioned this to Mr. Kaszak his only reply was, "I would know." Due to his determination, kindness and dedication to truth, I refused the money owed to me. The gift of my brother and all the family I had missed out on was worth so much more. My family and I owe Brown, Kaszak and Associates the gift of making our family whole again. I will be forever in their debt. If you want professionalism that has a heart and dedication to honesty and privacy, this group of private investigators is the only one you can truly trust. Bless you Chris Kaszak for giving me my family back and helping fulfill a dying mans last wish.

My first contact with the firm was not pleasant. After that initial contact I felt that the firm might be to big for my needs so I was ready to find another law firm. I immediately received a call from Mr. Saiontz who assured me that was not the case. I felt confident with out conversation that I would be treated fairly and with urgency. This was my first lawsuit, I was in a car accident, so I needed extra attention with explanations about the entire process. After several months my case was given to Steve NIchols. This started a great relationship. I could call him at anytime, leave a message and he would return my calls right away. He even answered the phone personally and that was comforting. I truly felt that he had my best interest in mind and was ready to battle if a trial was deemed necessary. I definitely felt that I was in good hands. I was explained everything and my opinion was asked. He didn't just tell me what was going to happen, he explained every aspect of the process. If I wasn't comfortable with a decision he made sure something was decided that made me comfortable. May 2, 2015 changed my life forever. I lost my 20 yr old son to a tragic car accident. I was so lost and confused about what to do. My mind was such a mess. The phone was ringing like crazy and I kept getting messages about me calling the insurance company of the person responsible for the accident. I didn't want to speak to anybody especially not them. A Very good friend of mine asked If I had a lawyer yet. I didn't. I hadn't even been able to think about anything like that I was in so much pain. I just missed my son and wanted him back. Update 1 NOV 2023: I just got another letter from these guys to the wrong person! They don't seem to understand the concept of person unknown! Original Review: I have recently had an experience with this law firm that has left me quite perplexed. Over the course of the last few weeks, I have received not one, not two, but four legal documents in the mail, all of which were addressed to an individual I have absolutely no knowledge of. In a genuine effort to rectify the situation, I promptly returned these documents to the law firm, clearly marked "Return to sender, person unknown." However, to my bewilderment, the same set of legal documents has somehow found their way back to my mailbox, time and time again. This has undoubtedly raised serious doubts in my mind about the competency and professionalism of this law firm. If a legal entity can't grasp the basic concept of "Return to sender, person unknown," it calls into question their ability to handle more complex legal matters. I had expected a law firm to demonstrate a strong grasp of details and a keen understanding of proper procedures. Unfortunately, my experience has led me to question whether this particular law firm is deserving of my trust. Clear communication and the ability to follow simple instructions are fundamental aspects of any reputable business, especially one dealing with legal matters. In this regard, this firm has failed to meet even the most basic of expectations. read more

Just over a year ago I contacted Saiontz and Kirk and was represented by Mr. Goldstein and his assistant Mrs. Debbie Ellis. I was extremely impressed with the exemplary service I received from both throughout my entire case and the day of settlement. Mrs. Ellis was in contact with me throughout my entire case. After being involved in a chain reaction accident (three vehicles), I was overwhelmed; not necessarily because of the accident; rather, selecting the most experienced personal injury attorney to defend me rightfully. Moreover, I decided to retain Saiontz and Kirk, P.A., which I must say, I am grateful I did so. I was immediately referred to physical therapy. Upon completion, the attorney's secretary, Pamela, was assigned to my auto claim. Then after, she introduced herself and re-reiterated the entire process and reassured me that I would be fine due to it being my first accident. Most of all, she answered most of my questions explicitly that generated during the claim. For instance, questions such as when will the check be released, have the insurance adjuster responded yet, etc. Pam's detailed explanation about what usually occurs after an accident was pivotal; this was because it informed me what to expect from any possibly auto accident(s) in the future (by the way I HOPE NOT). Saiontz & Kirk, P.A. is by far the best in the business. At a time where everything is going wrong, they try comfort you, also making the most difficult time very gracious. I would NEVER use them AGAIN! They forget cases, don't return calls or emails and work when reminded THEY HAVE A CASE that's been sitting for a year! Their favorite excuse was "this normally doesn't take that long.. we don't know what's going on.." Horrible firm! Had me wait a year, only to settle with Liberty mutual for $5000, my medical bills totaled more. So, if you do the math, after they got their cut, I only made out $1100.00. Go figure! NEVER AGAIN! They asked us (at the end) if we would help them with an out of court lawsuit settlement so they could recover $14,000 in their expenses. They were more concerned with that than our case. I wouldn't wish our experience on anyone! Update: As a previous Accountant, I know what was said to me regarding recovering defense expenses, so there's absolutely no confusion there. We can agree to disagree; however, ultimately we believe there were far too many delays and issues with representation. Although promised to be updated monthly, we had to constantly email about updates when not informed. In additon, your reply states it's a nursing home negligence case. There were 2 physical rehabs (not nursing homes), as well as a hospital negligence case -- hence this is why we are deeply disappointed with representation. Somehow they took a HORRIBLE situation and made it even worse!

And because…read moreMr. Block was stuck in traffic which caused him not to be able to meet with the client (my husband) beforehand (to be fair, he did contact him and life happens but my husband was already nervous and this didn't help). Once in court for the speeding ticket, as was relayed to me by my husband, Mr. Block represented him well and even made a few jokes, which kept the mood light and PERHAPS led to the positive outcome (PBJ and a $25 fine but no points on his license). The cop showed up and from what I'm told, when that happens, this is the best outcome you can hope for. I should also mention my job offers a legal plan & I found Mr. Block through that so his costs were covered but he/his staff followed up Thanks Mr. Block. You saved us hundreds on our car insurance and we didn't even have to switch to Geico!
