This review is long overdue! I just received some Saje products for Christmas and lo and behold, as I was perusing Yelp today, I saw an unfinished review for the Saje shop on Robson St., which I visit every time I'm in Vancouver. This specific location is beautifully designed with lots of natural elements (wood, plants, etc), warm tones, and a very earth-friendly vibe. Employees I've encountered here have always been friendly and relaxed as well, which certainly compliments the serene and spa-like ambiance. I have no idea if she still works there, but my Yelp review draft noted Talia as being a super helpful and welcoming employee that helped me out the last time I was there (pre-Covid). I've been a fan of Saje products since 2012 (thanks to the lululemon SeaWheeze Half Marathon), and love their commitment to the environment and natural healing. I absolutely love their essential oils the most, but have also tried various other products like their yoga sprays, hand soaps and lotions. I wish more companies were this dedicated to being green, eco-friendly, natural, and sustainable (and smelling/feeling amazing)! read more

'YES', sales person said at Christmas ---'we even replace without a receipt!' ...Wow, great!...as I stupidly believe them and walked out satisfied .... And last week, the sales person said' No problem...we will call you when the cover arrives... And today when when it came time to see if the replacement arrived...ALL HELL broke loose. They accuse me of being ' rude' for trying to explain to sales guy what we were told about the guarantee...as HE kept interupting me. We Tried to explain to manager Sean what the sales people told us but were shut down by the ugly and angry look on his face before we got a chance to talk...He said:' it could take months or a year to get a cover...if somehow we have an extra one lying around.' WHAT? Sean sneered at us when I said: You need to hear us out- perhaps your extra staff at Christmas said the wrong things to us?. Sean snapped back with a laugh: We don't have Christmas Staff' Do you want to be demeaned? I don't. Being sneered and laughed at makes for unsettled people. I thought since Sage told us broken items will be guaranteed and replaced, Management would agree: Im sorry they said that, it's not true but since this is on us and we value our customer- here is a replacement diffuser for you. But they weren't specific when I bought: Hey- you dumb, dumb customer- there is The diffuser and there is The cover. TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. SAGE HAS A NASTY, HIDDEN POLICY that allows Staff to abuse customers. I have never been so degraded in my life. Your hidden policy of replacing broken diffusers are not clear and sales team lies and is not transparent. Hey, these covers are breakable and that's why I asked them to explain guarantee. Sean and his sales boy just both attacked us like two very angry and entitled people. Like a cat fight...how stupid!. No wonder this world has issues. It starts in the community- street level. If I can't be treated with kindness at Sage....then how can we expect people to behave in bigger, more important issues. I have never seen two sales people chew me and spit me out like a piece of garbage over a diffuser! Sage: You lost my respect. I despise you on Robson and I will never go back to any Sage store...even though i have periodically shopped for more than 20 years. And I will make my experience known. The past few years that I've ran Lululemon's SeaWheeze half marathon, I get free swag from Saje. I normally use traditional Chinese pain creams/ ointments and patches that make me smell like a Chinese granny with arthritis. Who knew feeling better can smell good at the same time? The products in the race packet have all been wonderful so, we checked out this store to see what else they have. You can't miss this store when you're walking in Downtown Vancouver. Their diffusers emitting wonderful fragrances without assaulting your nostrils will entice you to come in. They have diffusers in different sizes and designs, and different scented oils. They have sprays, oils, lotions, soaps, lip balm, inhalers, etc. I love their bath salts. They smell citrusy and can really relax you. Other products I've tried include Peppermint Halo (for headaches), sprays and oils to relieve stress, inhaler (relieves headaches and makes me calm), Arnica Rescue (for muscle aches and pain. Not the best smelling - smells like prunes to me but hey, it works!). They also have products for other things such as libido, digestion, etc. they have oils to prevent you from having cravings - I did not try that. I'm ok with wanting to eat everything at the moment. The associates that work here are helpful and attentive without being pushy. Can't wait to come back and re-stock on supplies. You can order products online. Luv Saje products, but is anyone else frustrated with the pumps that don't seem to work?? If I'm going to pay $14 for a safe hands handsoap w/dispenser, the pump better work smoothly. Also, safe hands squeeze tubes hand lotion has been out of stock for months; the only alternative is safe hands in 240 ml glass bottle with pump (pump has trouble working properly) & that I can't take with me when travelling or in my backpack. My first time at this store ever today at the Rideau Centre in Ottawa and the associate Victoria was simply incredible. One month (not 3-7 days as mentioned on their website) to finally receive my parcel. There was no protection around the glass toner bottle. The parcel box was delivered soaked, with broken glass inside. This would have been prevented with proper packaging. Customer service was very poor and hard to get a hold of. Finally, I received an email response (10 days later!) with a refund offer that would take 10 days to process, and then another 7 days to receive. And, a *free shipping* offer. Had no intention of buying anything upon walking in, but the scents here are just so indulgent and delicious. I stopped buying candles due to all the chemicals and purchased a diffuser a few months ago. The traditional diffuser scents of lavender, Mandarin, peppermint etc were getting a little boring. I went back to a winter candle. Well I can put that away now that I've found the winter line here. The sugar plum fairy scent is amazing. I ended up going with a more traditional scent package and the spa scent is amazing. Happy that it's all natural. The staff here are very knowledgeable and the whole experience was excellent. Made an order back on Black Friday, had the wrong items shipped. Took 4 attempts to get in contact with someone. After I got in touch with someone, they told me they wouldn't refund the order (even though it was wrong) until I shipped the items back. Fair, I suppose, except I've been waiting for 2 weeks now for the return shipping label that's required to send the item back, which they said I would receive within a week. Eventually they had the audacity to tell me that they would "make an exception" by issuing me the refund before sending me the shipping label. It has been a week, and still no refund popping up. After expressing my dissatisfaction with the whole process, I was given a 20% off and free shipping voucher...which is basically what the Black Friday special was, so really no additional compensation there at all. Tried to reorder the products I originally ordered with the code, and realized that 2 of the 3 items were no longer available. Awesome. Expressed my concerns again with the Saje customer service team, and their response was that they'd "Let the product team know". Such a canned, unsympathetic response. What good does that do with fixing the issue they caused here? I've been a Saje loyalist for almost a decade, but clearly this company is not delivering the same level of customer service they once did, and because of that I'm going to start looking elsewhere for diffuser blends, etc. I understand that there may be delays because of COVID and the holiday season. That doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that they are so completely and blatantly out of touch with how to deliver customer service. Great product, but do not expect reliability or decency if you have to deal with their customer service department. The staff, Sam, and the other gal, don't know her name but she is Asian and gorgeous!--was so helpful, kind, informative, encouraging, and lovely to learn from! A few months ago, I wandered into this store for the first time, drawn in by the spa-like aromas wafting from inside. I was a bit intimidated at first, not really sure where to look or what the store was all about. The sales people were very friendly and started asking me a few questions, then telling me about the various products, which helped me to decide what I wanted to learn more about. I like how the staff seem to be well trained in knowing the healing properties of the various essential oils, too. Now, I own two diffusers (one for my office and one for my condo) along with a variety of oils and diffuser blends to relax and/or invigorate my mood accordingly. I have a few favourites, but it's fun to experiment with different scents as well. It's made my work environment so much more relaxing! The 'peppermint halo' rollerball is great for getting rid of headaches as well as easing pain in my shoulders from sitting at my desk all day. read more

I discovered Saje products at SeaWheeze in 2014, but it was this summer when I finally went into their store. I fell in love with the Peppermint Halo last year... such a wonderful product. I placed an internet order over the winter after getting a few colds. I had been guided to a popular US-based MLM company's oil, but after seeing their high prices, I wondered if I could find something similar. I clicked onto Saje's web site and found something similar in Immunity. I ordered a few oils, which were awesome. So after SeaWheeze, my friend and I came to the store. I really planned just to look quickly, but we ended up being helped by several staff, who were all very knowledgeable (and were not pressuring us whatsoever). Somehow, I managed to walk out with a nebulizer, a new rollerball (for mental clarity) and three diffuser blends. The products are just as amazing at home. Saje is my fav super reliable source for quality home scents. While at first glance, paying $14-16.95 for a small bottle of essential oil seems a bit steep - you indeed get what you paid for. Today I bought a wall socket portable diffuser, buying "tantra" name essential oil and diffusers for us both - I know with total certainty that these are quality items. Although I find their current line of non-heat diffusers to leave little to desire esthetically, the two I purchased maybe ten years ago are still going strong. read more

I ordered a few products, yoga, goddess, brainstorm. They smell so nice! However, I received one package that was already open!! The seal was broken, and the plastic around the bottle was removed. So, I wrote to them, and they offered me a one time return label. Hahahahh!!! What?? In this time of craziness, virus and quarantine, I received an opened bottle of essential oil, and they stated they would accept a return only once. They stated that the plastic inside the container, sealed onto the bottle (like all the others I received) happens in shipping? Ok, thank you very much. And, I noticed, unlike other essential oils, these do not last long. Placing on my wrist during yoga, only lasted about 5 minutes. I will not purchase again. read more

Was in the store Saturday night and had a good shopping experience until the end. Had been walking a lot around Vancouver since I arrived earlier that week on Tuesday evening; in many restaurants and stores in higher and mid-size pumps and not a hint of falling or missteps. Was in this store in SNEAKERS and a helpful and friendly associate kindly assisted me with picking out the scent that had brought me into the store as well as another one. The check out area is in a small, constrained area in the back that you have to go up stairs to get up. On the way out of the store, I missed one of the steps as I was going down the stairs (there are 3 smaller steps when probably 2 larger ones or not elevated check out area would do) and ended up with a bad ankle sprain. I am from the US (East Coast) and was headed back the next day, so was in pain the rest of that night and for the 5 hr plus flight and did not get to the doctor until this evening. My ankle is terribly swollen and badly bruised. Need to go for X-rays tomorrow morning. Very disappointing I am going into the Thanksgiving Holiday with an injury like this. (The last time this happened to me was 30 plus years ago when playing basketball!) This store has nice products and kind associates but it needs a redesign so customers don't leave with an injury! I love Saje products but I am extremely disappointed by the customer service and will NOT be a returning customer after this experience. My order was placed on November 29th and the delivery method reads standard shipping within 2-5 business days. I followed up twice and when I called their support line I waited 45 minutes to get through and when I finally did someone put me on hold and never came back... It has now been 15 business days and I still have no idea what happened to my package. This was a gift for my mom's 65th birthday on December 11th (I ordered two weeks ahead with the confirmation that this package would arrive on time or I would not have ordered it) and I had to get her a completely new gift. I will be returning this package as soon as it arrives for a full refund. On top of that, I am moving across the country in 7 days and will need my package by then. At that point, it will have been ONE MONTH since I ordered with no explanation of what happened to my package that was supposed to be shipped in 2-5 business days. They never picked up the phone, their online chat never connected, and they still have not replied to my email (1 week later). Enjoy the space. My favorite is Peppermint Halo. I'm not much of a natural believer in the whole aromatherapy as actual healing thing (I figure it just helps put one in a pleasant state of mind), but Peppermint Halo is testing my skepticism. #30daysofyelp 27/30 Some people may consider the whole idea of aromatherapy hocus pocus but I think it really works. At least it works for me. When I have a headache, I roll on the peppermint onto my temples and they do seem to make the headaches go away or at least seem less painful. We stopped in to Saje on Robson because they were having 15% off sale on their items. My sister wanted to buy their diffuser and I was wanting another diffuser. Brittany who works there was so helpful and very knowledgeable on the stuff. She recommended the essential and blended oil for us and we spent some time smelling all the different ones and to pick the one we wanted. So many different oils to choose from; there are ones to uplift your mood, ones to dissolve away your day's stress; one to use in your bedroom as an aphrodisiac and so much more!!! As for the price point on the oils, they aren't cheap. One oil I wanted to get was $26.00 for 10ml. I am not sure whether this is the right price point for these but getting a 15% off made it seem a better deal. Their nabulizer/diffuser used these essential oils and they fill the room with the scent of your choosing. I love the peppermint because it is so refreshing and seems to banish my headaches. They have other products as well. They have a limited skin care products, bath and body stuff, all sorts of oils for different ailments and 100% natural room sprays which I thought was neat. I like this location better than their old location on Robson. It closer to the epi centre of stores on Robson and the store is brightly lit and bit more welcoming. read more

Ooh, Aromatherapy....how I love thee, I'm slightly addicted to yummy smells. Essential Oils are my drug of choice and Saje is my dealer. I really like to purchase my essential oils from this Saje location on Robson because they have friendly, knowledgeable staff; excellent products with great value and convenient store hours. And you get to drink tea while you peruse and sniff. I also love that when you shop here, you can collect points that are tracked for you (meaning you don't have to carry around a pesky little punch card) and they remind you when you are eligible for a free remedy! If you get on the mailing list you get notification emails announcing deals. I highly recommend buying a nebulizer or aroma genie to use in your home or office. They help diffuse the scents while improving the air quality and they don't use heat so the oils are not affected. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that their selection of essential oils is shrinking...That means sometimes I have to hike it over to Broadway to Escents or Gaia Garden. I now am a happy owner of their Pocket Pharmacy (I never leave without it), their Echinacea, Aromabreeze, Yoga mat spray, and Head Cold oil. Saje oils smell great but I don't notice any therapeutic properties from oils that are marketed as all natural.

This place is nostril nirvana, there is seriously so much smelly goodness. The ultrasonic nebulizers are popular for a reason. Where ever I stay in Vancouver there seems to be a Saje nebulizer working away quietly on a table or windowsill. I am always impacted by the fresh energizing aroma that radiates from within the home. It is like an upscale spa experience. If you decided to get one, I suggest spending the extra $10. for the more art like ceramic vase nebulizer. It does not last quite as long as the cheaper plastic nebulizer, but the overall style is an enhancement to the home. I would give Saje a 5 star, but the prices are high. Ask about different promotions and internet sales. read more

I ordered an e-gift card before Christmas and the company sent me a confusing email a week later saying that the order would be shipped. I sent an email to their customer service asking for clarification and understood there might be a delay. I was in no rush, however it is now almost three months later and I have yet to receive a reply. I have ordered from many different companies and can honestly say this is the first time I haven't even received any reply at all. Based on this experience I wouldn't order from them again. This is one of their 30+ Canadian locations. We've walked by this natural wellness store before but the lovely herbal scent finally drew us in. From the moment you step in, prepare to have your senses assaulted (in a nice way). They have over hundreds of different essential oil products, accessories, even tea. And there is a product to address everything! Depression, low energy, stress, anxiety, sleep ailments, muscle soreness, you name it :) Couldn't resist their ultrasonic nebulizers! There are different sizes and aesthetically pleasing. Once you've breathed in the lovely aroma of the essential oils, you'll be hooked. This nebulizer diffuses the same tranquil qualities of negatively charged electric ions that you experience being near the ocean. This also helps allergies by removing dust particles and other airborne allergens. We must have explored and sampled every single product in the store, and the person serving us was very helpful and knowledgeable. She helped us understand that all their ingredients are 100% natural, and all their products are free of parabens, SLS, SLES, PEGS, glycols, petrochemicals, synthetic colours and synthetic fragrances. I really got the sense that this company is committed to providing a quality product and truly cares about the environment. I have purchased quite a few products from saje and while I enjoy their amazing scents the pump containers are faulty. I have had at least three moisturizer pumps and everyone one of them stops working about mid-way through a bottle. I therefore have to open the bottle and try and retrieve the 'Tingly Mint' cream instead of through the pump. I shake the product each time I use it, as directed by the merchant, however the pump does not does not work! It is infuriating for an expensive cream and I usually abandon a lot of the product as I can not retrieve it. I will NOT be purchasing another moisturizing cream from Saje. read more

I recently purchased a "Poosh" style diffuser which I love because of the the style, the unique nylon cord with the easy start on and off button, and most importantly the "Poosh" diffusing oil that came with it. I was so happy with the oil, that I was trying to buy additional bottles on line but could not find it. I reached out to Saje only to discover that it was only offered when you purchased the diffuser. It cannot be bought separately. My complaint is why would you promote a product if you cannot provide the accompanying oil? What is the point? Not happy Saje... read more
