They have large speakers and it looks like they have an area for live music. -We got a plate of mofongo (plaintain dome) with chicharrón meat (fried) that wasn't on the menu yet. Amazing. -A REAL piña colada (NOT a mix from a bartender bottle) -Get the side of veggies. Puerto Rican food doesn't have many of those, and it's nice to see a side of steamed vegetables on the menu. -The entree comes with a side of rice and beans which were also divine. Highly recommend everything we ordered and can't wait to visit again. With limited options for Puerto Rican food, I'm delighted to find authentic cuisine here at Sajori. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and makes for great pictures, but sadly the food didn't match the vibe. The pernil and chicken were dry, the rice was mushy, and nothing had much seasoning--not even the pastelitos. The energy clearly went into the decor. As a PR restaurant, I was hoping for bold flavorful dishes. Considering the higher prices and slow service, I left super disappointed. I hope they refocus more on the cooking because the concept and atmosphere are there. I want to start by saying that the establishment looks great with decorations allusive to Puerto Rico. They have board games and an area for kids to entertain themselves. The food I would give it a 3.5 out of 5. It is hot and made to order but in my opinion the meats need a little more time to cook. I asked for a mofongo con pernil and while the mofongo was hot, the pernil was not. The chuleta also tasted a bit undercooked for our taste. As far as service, the young lady taking our order seemed to be in a rush and gave us the check pretty quick all things considered. For the time being this will be the last time going. To begin, I arrived at 4:05 as the hours posted are 4-9. It was closed and did not open for business until 4 :11. The cook unexcited to see a customer, hurried through our conversation. I sat to wait for the food, and looked at the beautiful artwork, and carnival face masks used to decorate the walls of the restaurant. Unfortunately, the music did not vibe with the restaurant. No salsa music! As a Puerto Rican raised in the kitchen I have enjoyed my cultural foods, from the delicacies of cuchifrito's to a slow roasted pig. I am no stranger to authentic flavors and have a PR'N palate. Hence, I was really looking forward to a good meal. My experience on a scale from 1-5 is 1. Very disappointed!! My rice was medium grain. Puerto Rican recipes are primarily long grain rice. I could taste the rice was old and starchy, as well the beans were about 2 days old. The papa rellena was soggy and it should be crunchy outside with a fluffy potato and meat inside. The bacalaitos had no bacalao, thin as paper. The morcilla was cold and definitely not made in house. The alcapuria was simply dry and had no flavor. None of the items I ordered had any flavor. Aside from the paper thin bacalaitos, nothing I ordered was fresh. This is the best authentic Puerto Rican food around. El Pernil is so good that melts in your mouth. Arroz con habichuelas is always my favorite even though my mother loves el fricase the pollo. My non-hispanic family makes me stop by just to bring bacalaitos, pastelillos de carne, and arepas de coco home. After 24 years in DFW, I have seen some good, some bad, and some OK, this is by far the best. The desserts are awesome and remind me of home. I won't tell you my favorite because I don't want them to sell out before I get there. read more

Food and service was great. The fresh bakery is delicious and my favorite the pastelitos de queso. Pan Sobao is freshly made on Friday and Saturday. The pernil asado and carne guisado had great taste. I would definitely come back. read more
