We picked from one of our three menus (spirited, low ABV, or non-alcoholic). For $55 per person, we got a total of 5 drinks (4 drinks, 1 soup) with accompanying small bites for most of the drinks. 1- Started off with the Yokoso, a hot mushroom/veggie forward broth with a strong peppery flavor. Definitely was able to taste the smoked salt and perfect to start the night. 2- The Ember Highball was probably one of my favorite drinks of the night. The smokey cedar wood flavors were prominent and complemented the strong lapsang souchong tea flavors and sweetness of the plum soda. This was paired with a jammy egg that was just a tad overcooked 3- I'm not a huge fan of tomatoes nor tomatillos, BUT I actually liked how refreshing and sweet this drink was - especially with the hints of lemongrass. This was paired with a miso baked clam that I found on the saltier side. I nevertheless did like the miso sauce and the breadcrumbs. 4- My Bamboo Tonic was slightly too strong for me, but my partner's Sushi Sazerac from the Spirited menu was very intriguing. After the initial citrus notes faded, it was almost like drinking sea water, with a seaweed forward taste. This course was paired with a crunchy sweet potato latke with a tasty tofu cream and yuzu-wasabi tobiko. 5-Lastly, the Kogashi and Grain was another highlight for me since I liked the tea and citrus combination. The genmaicha and the lime/pineapple flavors balanced each other out. My partner's Mizunara Negroni indeed featured the woody flavor. This last drink was paired with their super crunch chicken that was crunchy and well-seasoned. Staff were very knowledgable and friendly. Pacing between drinks felt appropriate. I also wanna give a shoutout to their beautiful cups and pottery! It definitely adds a nice little touch. The only major feedback I have is that I wish they had tissues or napkins available with their cocktails/food because the condensation and crumbs can get messy. I am interested in coming back as well as to check out bar 7, their walk-in only bar serving a different Japanese-inspired drink/food menu!

It takes about an hour, and you pick if you want to go the NA mocktail route, low alcohol or spirited which has a higher alcohol content. I chose the spirited version and we started off with a peppery broth. The ember highball was a non-alcoholic drink that is included in all three versions of the experience. That was accompanied by a jammy egg. The second round was a tomatillo shiso sour, which is one of my contenders for my favorite drink. You wouldn't think tomatillo and lime juice would work together in a drink but it was great. That was accompanied by a baked clam. The third drink was a sushi Sazerac which was my other favorite. That was accompanied by a sweet potato latke. The grand finale was a negroni that packed a punch. That was accompanied by a super crunchy piece of chicken, which was my favorite small bite of the bunch. They wrapped it up with a sour gummy for dessert. The counter was compact but it still felt like I had space, which was nice because I came by myself. Next time I'm bringing my husband though. I was a little early for my res so I went to the back bar which is ala carte and had a smoked lemon sour. That was also quite lovely.

It strikes that perfect balance between cozy and quietly stylish, making it an ideal date night spot. We went at 6:45 on a Thursday, and the atmosphere was exactly what we were hoping for: relaxed, uncrowded, and perfect for conversation. It felt like we had stumbled onto a secret. The staff only added to that feeling, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. A special shoutout to our favorite waitress, Dusty, who was warm, lovely, and made the whole experience feel personal without ever being overbearing. The omakase was the highlight of the night. Every piece was incredibly fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and honestly more delicious than I had imagined going in. You can tell there's real care behind each course, and it elevates the entire experience beyond just a meal. Studio 151 is the kind of place you almost don't want to tell people about, but it's too good not to share. I found the lemongrass flavor to be a bit too dominant, which is not in my preferred taste palette. They did provide free peanuts, chickpeas, and lotus root which was a nice touch!
