Nobody was at the Estee counter, but a nice lady named Vanessa was working the Dior counter and came over the assist. My color Buff in Doublewear was out to stock. Bummers! But Vanessa was awesome and asked me what I wanted in a foundation. She offered some suggestions. Most of the companies I either tried and did not like or irritated my skin. And I want full coverage, she provided me some samples since my staple Doublewear was out of stock. This Saks is close to me, so I am reluctantly a regular. Miami is not known for great customer service, despite the money rolling around this town. This Saks is a great example of that poor customer service in what is supposed to be a luxury retailer. The staff (with some notable exceptions) is poorly trained and doesn't go above and beyond. They simply don't know how to deal with and manage luxury shoppers, which is what Saks is supposed to be. Pro tips. -- Ask for Janet. Now the only reason I gave 3 stars instead of two is because of her. She gets 5 stars herself. Give her a raise! --the platinum/elite shoppers section is in the back left corner of the second floor. But you need an appointment. I don't feel they do enough to cater to the elite shoppers. Feels like I am imposing when I come in to shop even though I am a platinum member with the right to be back there. They have to look me up and make me feel like a villain to use the space. Management needs to improve this Saks because it's not at all in line with the brand promise or the experience in other stores and cities like New York. read more

While this store isn't for everyone (let's be honest, they prefer people with big money and a certain look), there are some gorgeous things to browse through. I may not be willing to lay out $1000 and upwards for shoes or a dress, I do love looking. The cosmetics and fragrance counters are always fun, but it's clear the staff are on commission as they pester you to try this and smell that. And no matter what you think of the service or prices, they sure know how to get their interior looking sharp. It's a beautiful interior that makes hanging out in here more pleasant. If you can find a chair inside one of the departments, it's fun to sit for a while and people watch. Overall, Saks is more like an ocular nirvana to me. There's not a lot in my price range here, or in my style seeing as I like to be a bit more casual on weekends. If you're looking to window shop only, I recommend browsing around. It's always fun seeing what I might buy if I win the lottery one day (fingers crossed). read more

The gentleman who helped me, Stefan, was great but the manager and the service that Saks itself provided was below what I receive at Neiman Marcus. My Prada shoe, that I bought about a month ago at Saks, broke after my second time wearing it! The heel itself just popped off as I was walking on Brickell. I had to walk barefoot (!!!!) to Saks and they wouldn't do anything. I just wanted an exchange so I can continue walking downtown. The manager was so unsympathetic and cold. Never apologized or anything. Basically they'll repair it (I had to pay shipping!!) and no discount or anything on a new pair of shoes that I was not expecting to have to buy! A small token discount or free shipping, would've made us feel appreciated as a Saks returning customer. I mean when something like this happens you just want to feel like they care and will do what they can to make you feel that they have your back. I've been a faithful Neiman Marcus customer for over 10 years and just recently started shopping at Saks when we rented an apartment on Brickell. But I'm switching back to just Neiman. They did a phenomenal job with the buildings architecture and lighting, creating the best ambiance any of these stores can possibly have! Been to the ones in Chicago, New York, vegas but none have what this has. It's Miami, it says Brickell, speaks couture and bleeds... Saks! Private room for premium clients, special cirque du Soleil events. Multiple floors of clothing and great staff that can help in any way. I hate to do this but I really felt done over by this store. I've often spent considerable amounts of money with Saks (full price not off 5th) I came in to this store about 6 months ago and bought a jacked and other items totaling about $1400. The jacket after about 2 months started freying and generally looking bad. I travel a lot and wasn't sure where I bought it but eventually went to a Saks in SF and they told me to return it to the original store. So 6 months later I find myself here. Only to be spoken to rudely by the manager who offered me nothing. I accept that it has been a while but Norman's and others are happy to listen to customers and work with them. Especially on a $600 lightweight jacket. Sadly I would never shop at Saks again after this experience and it looks like a lot of other people have a similar experience. Saks online service is despicable. The telephone hold time averages an hr. I have spent 10hrs on the telephone trying to get 2 items returned. The 2 items are NOT what I ordered. I personally love Saks & my favorite perfume is only sold here so when I feel like indulging myself, I've come to this new location located directly in the Brickell City Centre. It's basically the best way to be in and out of this dangerously addicting store when you're directly in the heart of the city and need a key item. Lingerie, perfumes, belts, and purses- they're all here along with so much more. I used to frequent the Bal Harbour location in the past but now I find it easier to commute here. The sale racks are minimal but still they exist. Not necessarily an affordable retail destination but everyone knows that before coming here. If you have your Saks store card, they'll offer you extra coupons monthly which really come in handy for certain purchases. Everything in this store is a dream and although the parking is almost impossible, it's totally worth it. read more

As a male, I've never liked this location. The men's section has always felt a little small, so I never really shopped here. But I didn't realize how bad it was until my last trip there. I came to the Armani counter to test out their foundation that everyone is raving about (Sephora does not sell Armani...) so I Met Raul and he literally stopped everything he was doing to help me.
