The clerk rang up the items and charged me $51. I said 60% of $100 is $40. She said she gave me 40% off the items, and then 20% off that total. I told her the signs promised 60% off and she was giving around 50%. That's consumer fraud. She refused to provide the offered discount. I refused to do business with a store that cheats consumers.

The store isn't huge, but it's not small, either. The displays are nicely spaced out and all the sale items are clearly marked. They had a good selection of handbags, jewelry, clothing and shoes. Practically everything in here was on sale, with an additional percentage off, so that was nice to see. The employees were friendly, but I felt like there were too many of them behind the counter. I think there was only one lady on the floor. When I went to pay, I was shocked that the lady asked me if I wanted a dust bag for my 2 items "for an additional $1." Ummm.. wow, since when do you have to buy that?! That signature pink drawstring bag always used to be included with your purchase. I politely declined, since I have a bunch at home anyway. I mean, a dollar isn't much, but I can just see it rising in the future. Imagine this in 5 years: "Would you like a dust bag for an additional $5?" No thanks. =/ Other than that, the ladies were nice and the prices were right. Sometimes I see things I just cannot leave without, but today wasn't one of those days. This is one of my favorite stores, so I'll always go in to take a look. Now I'm wondering if all the other locations "sell" that dust bag?! Guess I'll find out eventually. Overall, I wasn't dissatisfied with the service I received today, and would come back again for sure.

I was actually considering buying a purse but wasn't sure actually what the actual sale was. There was just a big sign that said 70% off when you walk in so I just left without it. I'm sure a few people have left without sales that day being that they weren't really serviced.

Most clearance sections have a bit of chaos, but the racks are all mixed and the sizes aren't where they belong. And the clearance prices aren't even that discounted. I went into Gap to look for a few things for my son. Upon entering, all you could see are large…read moredust bunnies all over the floor. It was not clean what so ever, but we proceeded to the back of the store so I could look at the clearance section. When I got there, the clearance section was completely in disarray, so my 2 year old son sat down in front of a fixture. (I was kneeling not even a foot in-front of him looking through the clearance. ) when a sales associate comes over and scolds him for sitting down next to a fixture. I got up at that point and moved areas where she began taking pictures with her personal phone. I immediately left and walked back in the find a number for corporate where the manager refused to give me the information and said she "didn't know" where I could find the number or anything. I found the number walking out of the store and made a complaint. Gap has officially lost my business.
