Apparently I haven't been in a Tj Maxx in a while... walking in I thought I'd gone crazy. All I could hear was constant beeping. Getting louder and louder. They have put beepers on the purses and they just constantly make noise. How awful to work there. For a TJ maxx it's fairly clean, With a lot of cashiers the day I went so there wasn't the typical long line to decide "hmmm, do I REALLY want this? Is it worth this wait?" They have a good selection of clothes and purses here, but I love coming here for really good skincare at an affordable price. The weekends here are always super busy, but today the lines were crazy looong! There were only 3 checkers so the service was slow so the store can work on staffing levels. read more

It's not the same TJ Maxx that I remember enjoying to shop at. Very limited selections for clothes, shoes, wallets/purses and hair care products. The store appears to cater to the senior population now and does not have much options for gifts or everyday shoppers. My opinion, the most robbed store in this chain. I won't be going there again. I have witnessed several snatch and grab at this corner of Wilmot and Broadway. They do not have any security whatsoever, criminals run through stealing whatsoever they like and crash into paying customers as clerks just watch. This store has really gone down hill. read more

I am a fan of TJ Maxx. I find everything in their store is very compact, well listed, and easy to find. Their prices are fair, and if you're willing to do some digging you can find some very low-cost items. I always go here for high-end shirts for low-end prices. I generally come up with tons of new clothes for very little price. This is not a store you come in and out of quickly, it's much like Target, you have to do some digging to find what you need and sometimes things that you don't need find you! Usually love this place but I found a super cute pair of shoes, last one left in my size that had clearly been worn and returned. They have pet hair stuck to the bottom and scuff marks on the side so I would definitely have to clean them well before I could wear. At the register she told me they don't offer any type of discount for visibly damaged items. That's so crazy to me. The shoes were clearly not shelf ready to be sold. And they expect you to pay the same price as if they were brand new never worn. If you don't offer a discount you should at least clean them before putting them back out. I was skeptical about this place at first, but I'm my first few minutes in the store I was pleasantly surprised to find multiple pieces of clothing and decor for a reasonable price! The store was fairly clean and the staff was welcoming and accommodating. There is a variety of men's and kids' fashion, as well as women's' and plus size options. I especially liked the selection of formal and activewear because it was functional and cheap! Throughout the store you can find a variety of clothing, decor items for the home, snacks, shoes, and even bathroom items, such as lotions, scrubs, etc. The only complaint that I have is that the bathrooms have been incredibly dirty in my past few visits. Plus the employees are really friendly at the front counter and I saw several of them roaming the aisles straightening up. I'll be going back for sure. This place is clean (except the bathroom), elegant and well priced. I wish I had been here sooner! The kids toys and musical instruments are top notch and would have made excellent gifts. I used to shop at Ross, but then I discovered TJ Maxx. Bigger, cleaner, brighter, and not stuffed to the brim! The prices are about the same, maybe a teeny bit higher, but they've got a good bit more merchandise in the "upscale" category. A particular highlight is their handbag section. I'm not much for name brands-- I'd rather find something with the right amount of pockets and maybe some funky colors-- and I can always find something great for $25 or less. They've got plenty of super-fancy ones, too, though I could never bring myself to spend $100 for a purse, even if it was marked down from $300, but if that floats your boat, it would be worth a look. The kitchen and home department has some great stuff too. High thread-count sheet sets and miscellaneous kitchen goodies (tiki-head ice cube trays!) are plentiful and discounted, so it's a great place to stock up on utensils and bakeware. The only disappointment is that there is ZERO clothing in plus sizes, so my size-18 self skipped over the main part of the store completely. Even so, there's enough stuff to keep me browsing for a good while, which is amazing because I generally hate to shop! read more

I love TJ max as a store. Although, this store the past two times I was in was lacking serious customer service. No one said hi or asked if we needed anything. We were in the store for 2 1/2 hours. We walked over to the fitting room to try on the 60 clearance items I selected (I have a problem). The lady was very nice and helpful but seemed a little over worked. I was getting annoyed because it was close to closing and every 3 minutes they would come on and tell you have 30 minutes then 26minutes minutes etc, to come check out. Well, we finally finished trying clothes on (couldn't try 10 things on because of lady over head giving us warning) So, right at closing I left what I couldn't try started my way to the checkouts. What happens next is so incredibly rude the manager shut the over head lights off. So, only a small portion was on. When we get to checkout lane and a customer in front of me thought her receipt was wrong. The lady handling her was kind of rude to her and treated her like she was stupid. When she walked out before helping me the checker started talking bad to manager about prior customer. Granted my check out was uneventful. Although, it still shows the environment and tone the store has set for its staff. You may ask Drew, why give them 3 stars. Simple price! Although, many more times like this and I will go to big department store and pay the extra money! read more

I love coming here, they always have a good selection of clothing, accessories, and jewelry. It can get pretty busy at times but hey I'm sure I wasn't the only one looking for cheap and great quality stuff. I come here often to always see what else they have each week or month. It's a hit or miss for me on clothes since I'm very picky, but i love going through the accessories aisle. I found some nice glass cups to enjoy my Hennessy on the rocks with for a cheap price! 6 dollars and it comes with 4! Now that's a great deal! I love this place because I love finding things on sale that are being sold at full price at other stores. I rarely look through the clothes section just because it's overwhelming but I really like their home decor section.
