This place was ok. I think Mikata is better. If you are a sushi fan then this is the place for you.

Not a huge fan of buffets but this place is clean, staff is friendly, and the sushi is really good. I came across this place on yelp and told my husband we had to go, we usually go most Wednesdays now because he actually likes it and he typically hates buffets but he like this one. We drive all the way from st.lucie west, we usually don't like going further that 5-10 minutes from home but we can't get enough of this place. read more

A big dissapointment if you are not into Sushi. They do not cook fresh food after 8:45pm on a Friday night. My party of 5 arrived here at 8:45 pm and noticed that the buffet items were low and needed to be replaced. I asked our waitress if fresh cooked food will be coming out soon and her response was " ah thank you very much". The cook at the Habachi Grill was breaking down and cleaning the grill around 9:15pm but they're open until 10:30 on Fridays. Finally a young man (that I heard speaking english to another customer) came near our table and I asked about the food. He asked what would we like and he requested the items which were prepared. They items were brought out to the buffet with much attitude! The waitress that collects your payment informed us that they Stop prepairing and cooking food at 9:00pm (more like 8:30pm), however they are open until 10:30. Keep in mind that additional customers came in after us and at $13.99 they should continue to cook based on the crowd. Again if Sushi is your thing this is the place, but the Buffet is at best average if you go earlier in the evening. read more

We just moved into the area and decided to see if this buffet was going to be a favorite family spot. It exceeded our expectations in every way. The food was very fresh and reasonably priced. Because of the other reviews, I was worried about snotty service. Our wait staff was delightful! Very sweet and accommodating. By the time we left my daughter and I were hugging our waitress. Hubby had no problem tipping 20% either. Working as a server is the hardest job on earth. I've yet to have crappy service anywhere but then again I don't treat people like garbage either. This was our 2nd visit . The first time we gorged ourselves on some of the freshest sushi sashimi , cooked Asian food, fresh delicious fruit , ice cream , desserts ... OMG we were hogs ... This time we went for lunch and used much more restraint ... The food is top notch , fresh , readily replaced when it gets low , plus the wait staff are sweet , courteous and readily remove used plates ... What the heck were we thinking. I am not a fan of buffets; however, "the group" wanted to go here and I went with it. BIG MISTAKE. I haven't done a buffet in several years and now I've been reminded why. The sushi was pre made and refrigerated. YUK. No amount of wasabi helped. The food selection was average at best and if it wasn't fried to this side of disgusting than it was crappy desert food. The server, who's sole responsibility was to get drinks and clear used plates, couldn't be found. The restaurant was not busy, so I can't imagine an acceptable reason for the poor service. $32 for two buffet dinners and a diet coke. UPDATE: So me and my fiancé just left after coming in for the oysters to see if this place had changed at all. Nope. It got much worse than the last time. My fiancé called and asked if there were oysters out before we came in. They were short and said yeah. So we came in and the oysters that were out had no meat in them. The short server in the pink kimono was extremely rude and short with us. We had accidently sat down in the booth next to us that was unoccupied and when she came over to tell us so, she rushed us back to our seats and said hello to me sarcastically as in "hello? Move now" type of way. I told my fiancé to just say something to someone and maybe they would fix the issue with the seafood. Mind you this place is almost dead and it's Monday the 26th of September at 7:30 currently. There was little to no sushi out as well which honestly isn't even worth the $16 we had to pay for small plate I consumed reluctantly. We left in under 20 minutes of walking in. The server even yelled at us in front of people demanding we pay for the soda right then and there to which I replied "we're paying upfront". While my fiancé was talking to the manager who was very polite about the situation and offered us our own tray which we declined, the rest of the staff was very rude and the server has to be the rudest woman I have ever been waited on by. Save your money and just order take out. Also their children were running around loudly which didn't help anything. I understand being a family owned establishment but it's very obnoxious and unprofessional to let your kids run in and out of the tables. Also fuck mikata as well. We were pleasantly surprised with Sakura. The price was reasonable for dinner and everything was fresh. There was so much to choose from and everything was delicious. We were shocked there were so many different rolls. We will be back to try some different things. The service was friendly and efficient. read more

There's a lot more pros than cons about my first experience eating at this restaurant, but the cons I have to write about have taken away a couple stars from my rating and needs to be addressed. Upon walking in there is the hostess booth to the left where they ask you how many guests and take you to your table. Right away the hostess passed us off to a child who had to be no more than 7 years old. Thankfully I was actually paying attention to what was going on around me because I had to be the one to nudge my husband when the kid mumbled to come this way and then took off in a sprint ahead of us. Once we sat down he mumbled something about drinks, I asked what they had in the way of soda, was ignored, and he loudly proclaimed "two waters" and took off again. I can confirm 100% that I never went to a chain restaurant where I was waited on by a child. He very much acted like a child and didn't put much effort into doing his job correctly. A few minutes later an adult waitress brought us our waters and walked away before we can get any info on how this buffet worked. Of course people who frequent buffets know that you just walk up whenever you're ready, but we're used to the sit down and order food places. We were very impressed with the selection of sushi and everything I tried was fresh and rated among the top of great tasting sushi I have tried. I grabbed the rest of the salmon sushi and by the time I went back for seconds the plate was filled up once again so I could grab more. My husband ate his fill and liked the food and the great prices, but his mood was ruined because he said he felt like the service was very cold to us as guests, like we walked into someone's house who didn't want visitors. I agree that the employees could put more effort into creating a welcoming atmosphere. There was also a daunting sign on the buffet table that said we would be charged for anything left on our plate we didn't eat. While I understand that they don't want wasted food, there was the pressure to make sure I ate everything so we don't have to pay more. I put a lot more thought into what I grabbed to ensure I wasn't charged extra when I became full. I plan on going back because I enjoyed the food that much but I'm not getting my hopes up that the service will be improved. read more

We arrived at 3:30pm and there was a decent selection of sushi to choose from. It's important that you focus on the timing in this restaurant. Here's why. They don't like to refresh the hot food plates after a certain time. You get to chose from dry, "cool to the touch" hot dishes which is a food safety issue. Those trays had little to no food in them as well. At 4pm, I saw the staff filling the trays so I went up to fill a plate. At the very same time, another staff member was laying out plastic signs that read LUNCH PATRONS - UPGRADE TO DINNER AT $13.99 IF YOU WANT THESE DISHES. Since the food was so lousy, if not the worst of any buffet that I've been to in the treasure coast, I just paid the bill and left. I don't see this restaurant being around in 2017. read more

Stopped in for a late lunch and it was your average buffet, nothing special or noteworthy. The Sushi was picked over and hardly anything available. They were prepping dinner so I upgraded to dinner and still average at best. I was told by several others how "great the buffet was" and it was disappointing. The staff doesn't speak American or English. Limited choices, and average to below for taste. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. It's just an average to below average buffet. Disappointed! I got the bill for 2 adult buffet and hot tea for $28.72. When I was getting ready to sign the receipt the bill was $38.72. These "mistakes" don't happen with credit card machines. The food is great, nice fresh sushi. The regular buffet items also taste great. I'm giving it a 3 star review because I went there at 7:45 on a Wednesday, they close at 9:30, and stopped putting out new food. I work at a local thai place but we don't serve sushi. I was craving some sushi on my break and came in at 330. I had no problem paying the dinner price BUT as soon as I went to get a plate they started to take away all of the food. Was barely able to get any sushi or any other food. So for a dinner priced buffet I was only able to get 1/2 a plate of sushi. My advice is get here before or after they switch out all the food. Other then that the food was eh.. kinda ok. read more

When you come eat here.. Come with your wallet in your shoe. They will keep coming up to you asking if you have paid, I wasn't done eating,no where near done and they brought the check. They came twice while I was eating and asked if I paid. The service is good, very attentive, but too attentive. The food itself is alright. Don't eat any of the seafood from the isles. Only the sushi bar. The sign said grilled fish and it was breaded panfried fish that was breaded so much it fell off and the fish was still raw. I got asked 3 times if I wanted water when I full cup. First of all, this is not a Japanese buffet.. Its more of a Chinese buffet with a larger assortment of low grade fish dressed up to look amazing. It seems as if there is a large assortment of sushi on the bar, people think that the restaurant is great. I have to disagree only because the assortment of fish used to make the sushi was limited. I didn't find anything in this restaurant of quality or a culinary masterpiece. It's an Asian buffet no better than the next. It's just too bad that there are no Shin-Ju's in the Treasure Coast so people can gauge the quality of an Asian buffet against a leader in quality Jap-Asian buffets. For great Sushi, Hokkaido in Saint Lucie West is one of the best in the state. Sakura failed to meet my expectations. read more

We have been going there since they've opened very satisfied with everything the people are very friendly the place is very clean the food is always good well stocked I recommend them if you're in the area you will enjoy yourself they've also got a fresh made sushi bar that's out of this world read more

Like others have said the waitresses & staff are the problem. The food is decent and great price. But you get nasty looks and remarks from the staff. The waitresses literally stand behind you and try to get you to leave (Even though we were there for 15 minutes??). They will bring you the check while you're still eating. The waitresses will act very fake to get huge tips from you. This one waitress always hugs me and tells me how I am beautiful( she even kissed my cheek once) wtf? How pathetic. One experience in general we had 2 waitresses behind us saying nasty remarks. I would turn around and they would hurry and run into the kitchen. Horrible!! I live in central Florida was down to take uncle for surgery. At 8:30 we arrived at the restaurant and they stated they were open until 9:30 so we had plenty of time. When we went to the sushi bar the sushi chefs had maybe 3 rolls out and a few sashimi and were avidly cleaning when we asked were they going to roll more sushi they ignored us. As we went to look at the buffet most of the food was completely empty, and what was there was cold and old. I asked the server if they were bringing fresh food out and she informed me the kitchen was closed. a Really??? You don't seat customers charge them 14 each and offer no food I told her that was absurd, her response was sorry as she sat back down with the rest of the crew that was all eating in one of the dining rooms. The hibachi grill was closed and also they would not prepare us anything on it. When I asked if the snow crab could be warmed she told me yes for an additional $10. Absolutely the worst mismanaged establishment I have ever been in. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS business. read more
