My husband and I have come here often since we discovered it. The staff are friendly and courteous. We go there enough now that I've gotten hugs :) You are seated right away, your drink order taken, and then, you are free to gorge yourself. The sushi is fresh and there is a variety of sushi and sashimi to choose from. I wish they had at least one eel option though. The butter sushi is my favorite so far. There is a good selection of other food types to select from that include common Chinese dishes & soups, fried shrimp, chicken items, seafood, and Hibachi station. There is also a cold station that I rarely visit and recall shrimp and some salad selections. They also cover dessert with a selection of ice cream, pastries (bland, pass on those), banana & other puddings, cookies, jello, and fresh fruit. We always find that the food items as far as selection stay the same, but they are always fresh and constantly being added to so that they are well stocked. The price can't be beaten at $9 for lunch bufffet, the restaurant & buffet area are nice & well situated, super clean bathroom, and good customer service. Cheap place to go for lunch. A lot of options for a $9.00 buffet. My only bad experience there was when a waitress was upset over me tipping her 15% and she abruptly left the table with a really bad expression on her face. This was a clean restaurant, good buffet. I ate mostly seafood and it was good. My granddaughter doesn't like seafood so she ate chicken and fried rice and said it didn't have much flavor to it. Great choice of sushi too and it was good. I will return don't know about my granddaughter. read more

My wife and I generally do not like buffets but decided to give this place a try on Jan 2016 Saturday 6pm. We came with our baby (baby was no charge) and the place is kid friendly. We eat out a lot and at both cheap thrills and swanky spots. We both thought the sushi was very comparable to the local Stuart places (Kazu, Yama, Benihanna, etc) and was fresh. There was a good assortment of sushi rolls, unagi and also they had crab legs and hot food too which were good. The place is clean and the waitstaff were prompt and helpful. I read some of the other reviews for this place and after leaving Sakura I think some of the negative reviews were way over exaggerated. For $14, I think this place is great. I almost didn't come here because I was afraid of the low price for sushi. One reviewer complained about Sakura not bringing more hot food after 9pm. Shoot, this is Stuart not Miami night life. I would hope they stop bringing out hot food by 9pm if they close at 10pm otherwise they would be wasting a lot of food and money. Took my son here for boys night out. All the ladies well to do their stuff so we went out to do ours. Buffet was pretty good overall it was the 3 stars on giving 4 because they're very friendly and all the food was hot and fresh. Was that many people there and the lighting was very low light on going to give a 3 stars after all. So , we spoke with manager and showed her our credit card receipts and bills with overcharged tips and she refunded the overcharges. We decided to give them another shot for dinner tonight. We are evidently on the persona non grata list (aka the *hit list). Dirty dishes were allowed to pile up on the table before someone grudgingly came to get them with a scowl. Water was never refilled. We asked once and waitress scowled, said okay, and never returned (as we shall probably not). Lunch Buffet for two was $19, so walking in my expectations were set at an appropriate level. Wow this place is a deal. The sushi was excellent for a buffet, and they had a good variety of rolls. Got to sample some types I don't ordinarily get and was not disappointed. Real surprise was the octopus on the buffet deep fried and delicious. $35 including ice teas and tip for two. When I asked the sushi chef if he could refill one of the empty sushi items, he rolled his eyes and walked away. They had such a large selection of sushi choices. There was a lot more than I expected them to have. They had an assortment of salads , cold apps and hot appetizers. Sushi , rice, lo mein , chicken beef, seafood, soups, desserts and so much more. I had a couple plates full. Had lunch on 2/27/15. Restaurant was clean. Décor was nice. Service was prompt and friendly. Lunch buffet price was $8.99. So why just two stars? The food just wasn't all that good. The first time through I took one piece of quite a few different sushi rolls. When finished I asked myself for my next trip to the buffet, which of the sushi rolls would I like to have more of? My answer was "none". That pretty much sums it up. And I'm even giving it consideration that it's a buffet, so less critical than if it was a regular sushi restaurant. Since I didn't have any more sushi, I sampled the other Chinese/Asian dishes. I'd say they were just shy of average at best. read more

Good value when taking into consideration the price and the quality of food. Sushi is pre-made. Just go up and get one of each and take a bite. Go back for the ones you enjoy. Wipe your silverware when you get it. There was something on my friend's spoon. When we asked for another spoon, it never came. We just forgot about it as it wasn't that important, but still.... Anyway, Some veggies are a little cold when they should be warm/hot... Kimchi is not good. Stir-fry noodles are nice. The hibachi is really really nice... Please tip the person cooking your hibachi! If I go again I will definitely get more hibachi plates since they were the most delicious. read more

My husband and I decided to check out Sakura for dinner. The cost was $13.99 a person which includes unlimited sushi, hibachi, and crab legs in addition to the buffet. The sushi was all very fresh and well done. The crab seemed a bit old but the shrimp were yummy. The crab salad was amazing. The rest of the food on the buffet was good. I just came from this lovely place and I wish I could give them 1,000 stars! OUTSTANDING! Everything I tried was very fresh and piping hot! Usually I avoid buffets, but I decided to try this one due to the glowing reviews here. I am so glad I did! The service is fast and friendly, you really couldn't ask for more. The very best indicator of the freshness and deliciousness of the food is that I saw several of the wait staff and kitchen staff eating the food. While I don't enjoy sushi myself, I will be sure to bring friends that do, they will LOVE it! Everything was so pretty and clean, and fresh looking. It's just not my thing. My favorite dish was probably the crab rangoon. Hot, cripsy, and heavenly! A close second was the banana pudding. SO wonderful! I wish I would've been more hungry, there were things I didn't try because I didn't want to get too full. Not your typical Asian buffet, that's for sure! Highly recommend it! I have to start saying that I have visited this place several times. Compared to other similar choices in the nearby area it was decent. There food is well present it, great taste, good choices and decent sushi variety for a buffet restaurant. Up until today I would have rated this place as a 4.5 stars. But today our experience surpasses all possible forgiveness. My husband and sons went to use the restroom facilities during our visit. As they were existing the restroom they witness one of the kitchen staff exiting the restroom without washing his hands, yuck . My husband approached a staff member and asked for the manager. He was told there was NO manager or person in charge in the facility. He explained the employee his concern and the employee just started to speak with the kitchen employee in their language in front of my husband. The employee taking the concern from my husband stated the kitchen employee did wash his hands and pointed to the signs stating "employee must wash their hands before returning to work". My husband was polite enough to tell this lady; ma'am we all walked out and he didn't open the foset or use any paper. I'm only letting you know so you can address it with your staff as this is a very serious requirement practice for a restaurant. The lady said: No worries sir you are nice, you are very nice. But he did wash his hands, our signs says he wash before he return . Needless to say he came back to the table told me what happened and we decided to leave. We paid for or bill and left. We will not return and we will not recommend anyone visiting this place unless you have no problem eating food from employees that have no issue using the bathroom and then cooking with their dirty hands the food you will consume. The thought of it makes me sick. What a shame this place used to be one top choice for our family. read more

Tried this place for the first time today. I am not a big fan of Asian buffets but the sushi selection was very decent compared to other places and the price is very reasonable. Not a very large variety in the hot food section but the food quality is far above of what you would expect from a buffet. I was a bit hesitant about coming to a Japanese buffet, mostly because the last place I went to was absolutely abysmal. Sakura is certainly not like the last one, but there are a few flaws. Firstly this is mostly seafood, so the first thing you smell is fish and sushi. Secondly some of the meats, especially the chicken are cold, which turned me off of my appetite. The donuts, however are absolutely delicious, and the fried rice was very tasty. I will say one other positive is the style of the restaurant, it really gives a small feeling you're in Japan. Very decent and clean! Food choices are solid with a decent array of sushi/sashimi offerings. Keep in mind the price and this definitely qualifies as well above average- anywhere in USA and especially for our laid back area. Staff is endearing and amenable to special requests. Hibachi grill is a plus for this that like to choose their own plate and have cooked up special. Very good taste in food and nice salads too. I stopped here for lunch on Valentine's Day with a friend and normal buffet price was 8.99 but we were told lunch prices had already ended and it was 1:45pm... not sure who the hell eats dinner at 2 unless this is Japanese time but we were told it would be 10.99 now instead. So I said what the hell might as well since we are already here. There is not a huge selection of food here like some other buffets I have been here ... chicken and shrimp cooked 10 ways and that's about it. They do have a lot of sushi if that's your thing. When we received our check they charged us 14.99 per person for what should have been a lunch price. Valentine's Day should not be a reason to jack up prices when you're offering the same food you offer every day of the week. Will not return. Mikata buffet in Jensen Beach not only has this place beat on prices but also quality and a lot more choices. read more

Food is good, service is terrible tried to complain twice about pushy, nasty waitresses pushing for payment, I have never stiffed or walked out on a restaurant in 55 years. The last straw was when waitress, Jenny came to our table, 4 times in 10 minutes, I told her we weren't ready, she then proceeded to say to my friend, "Some people are so nasty (gesturing to me) and you are so nice" again pointing to my friend. i could not believe it, did pay bill when we were finished with our meal and left. They have a very large selection of sushi, raw and cooked!!! Love that they have mint chocolate chip ice cream!! The only things I don't like, they don't have anything to tell you if something is raw or not... Also, they aren't gluten free friendly. Other than that, they are great! wow wee what an amazingly great buffet... tried this place for lunch on wednesday last week and was totally in the like mode... everything was fresh fresh and great selections with wonderful service. i did not have to ask for anything . they keep the tea pot full and the sushi guys will make most anything you ask them for in wraps and rolls. i am pretty picky when it comes to fish and this place wowed me. wished i lived near by as the drive from new york is pretty long. but i will be eating here every time i get to stuart florida. read more
