Checking out Sakura in Livingston, TX.

Awesome place! Service was quick & attentive. The place is small but it's no big deal. We came in for a quick bite. Food was delicious & fresh! My steak was soft & tender, flavorful! I ate all my fried rice. My wife had chicken yakisoba, plentiful. I had to help her out.

I came here for lunch with my parents on a Sunday after our church service. The service is always fast, the ambiance is decent, and the food is always great! The servers are fast in doing their job. *Thumbs up*. My dad and I ordered chicken and steak hibachi, respectively, while my mom ordered the shrimp udon platter. As for the dessert, we ordered banana tempura with vanilla ice cream for the table! Everything that's on the menu is all good!

I got my order to go. The orange Chicken and steak bento box were very good. It took about 15 minutes for my order so it must have been made fresh. The fried rice that came with the meal was nothing special. I will go back to try their sushi when I have more time. Not many Asian food choices in Livingston so I am sure I will be back.

Cooked to perfection!!! Meat was rare like I like it. Great flavor and Service. Highly Recommended

For me, Hibachi salmon and scallops, stir fry, rice, the shaggy dog sushi roll, and the New Orleans roll.

This is my second time visiting here; both now and my first visit were extravagant. There aren't enough words in our current time able to sum up the bursting flavors, long lasting smells, nor great service I have received today. There are very little flaws I am able to find, but few nonetheless. The only thing I can complain about is the rice. It was bland, and didn't anymore than egg in it.

The food and presentation is outstanding. Highly recommend this establishment. Love eating here every time we are in the area. I love the rock and roll and the tempura shrimp. My husband ordered the sashimi assorted 14 piece. Here is a picture. Wow

So yes, there is good Asian cuisine in Texas! Here's a little gem hidden in all places, Livingston! We had a little of the edamame and pepper tuna then had some spicy tuna roll along with the crab and cucumber roll, then dinner! Great portions and we ended up taking half of our main course home with us. However we topped it off with mochi ice cream! yum! Will come again.

The fried Korean corn dog satisfied my craving without having to drive to Houston. We came from Jasper and stopped in for dinner. The sushi was decent and the kids steak hibachi was a good serving. It was enough to share between two kids. The Thai tea was good- we just wish they had a boba option. The miso soup and mushroom broth were tasty. Overall the family and I enjoyed the ambiance, quick service, and clean restroom. The AC was so high the kids and I got cold sitting in there. I suggest wearing a light jacket or sweater if you're prone to being cold. My husband who's more hot blooded thought it was perfect temperature lol

This newly opened spot was having a large post-lunch rush as we arrived at 2:30pm. We were sat promptly as was a party of six. Our original appetizer order wasn't available and we selected Shumai as an alternative. It was beautifully presented 20 minutes later. Our order was placed while we waited for its arrival. Our order didn't arrive for another 45 minutes . When it did it was presented as nicely as I've seen and was fresh and satisfying. We ordered the Michu for dessert - both were excellent. Slow service from this new spot will surely improve. Be patient and you'll have a really quality experience.

The dumplings appetizer was fantastic, perfect crunch and texture and the filling paired well with the sauce. The beef with broccoli was also really good, the beef was super tender and the sauce was tasty. I do wish it came with more sweet and sour chicken, but it comes as a side so that's not a criticism, you could literally order its own plate. My wife and I shared this combo and between this and the dumplings it was almost too much. The Thai red curry was spicier than I expected, so if you like spicy this one for you! Good flavor and super saucy. The tofu with vegetables was pretty good, I wish the sauce had more flavor, but I'm happy to be generous with the provided condiments. I didn't try the spring rolls but my kids did, they were cooked perfectly with a nice crunch. Only criticism is the atmosphere and seating, it's a small place so it's definitely not a deal killer, but it's an amazing quick lunch spot!

After countless times coming, I've been meaning to make a review about this place. Everything in…read moretheir menu is something great, with some of my personal favorites being the Homestyle Trio with Eggplant, their Mapo Tofu (off menu, no gatekeeping), their Spicy Chicken Noodle Soup (a wee too spicy for me personally, but I love the simplicity of it), and the General Tso's Chicken. The eggplant dish mentioned is very rich and flavorful, with the eggplant cooked to be soft and almost mushy (but in a good way), nicely complimented by particularly the beef. Their lo mein is a little watery on various occasions, but still maintains a great and very nice flavor. Their fried rice is one of my favorites in the area and is always very well made no matter the time of day. The fried chicken wings, crab puffs, and crab bomber appetizers are both just such standouts in what is often an overlooked part of the menu by many restaurants. I have nothing but praise about how this place handles food. The staff is all really nice and welcoming from entrance to walking out the door. They are very good with order additions or food/allergy restrictions and the dishes always come out in a timely (but not rushed) manner, no matter whether it is a weekday morning or a busy dinner crowd. I'd recommend the lunch special for anyone coming around that time, as the deal of egg rolls, soup, and an entree or 2-3 sushi rolls for a low price is a steal. The ambiance nice for sure and the tables are clean, though I do sometimes get disoriented by the wallpaper they use (I think it's just me though). Whenever this place first opened, I was very disappointed in the restaurant. Meals were salt with a side of meat and rice and was just overall underwhelming. But now, it is one of my family's go to places whenever we need quality food in a short distance. Definitely worth a try, even over other restaurants in the area that serve a similar menu.

We started with the Pan‑Fried Pork Dumplings, delicious and surprisingly filling. For mains, we ordered the House Special Lo Mein and a Lunch Special that came with egg drop soup, fried rice, Szechuan shredded beef, and an egg roll. The soup was flavorful, thick, and nicely eggy. The fried rice was good, and the beef was tender and savory. The egg roll was also really good. The House Special Lo Mein, though, wasn't our favorite. The texture felt off, and the meat was colder than the noodles, so we couldn't really eat it. For a Chinese restaurant, the House Lo Mein is an important dish to get right. Overall, some hits and some misses.

We came here as a family on a Sunday after church. It was quite busy during lunch, but our waiter (Dan B.) was super gracious & attentive. The manger also stopped by our table to check on us (and gave us a postcard to checkout their other business - Tokyouth Arcade). Welcoming & friendly staff. We did the "standard" AYCE, which is about $40 per person (kids 4 and under are free). There's also a premium AYCE upgrade (for $20/pp more), but we didn't want to go in over heads on the first visit. Everything we ordered was phenomenal! Soups, appetizers, grilled items, and sushi - - they don't skimp on quality & freshness. Wonderful first impression. *My biggest recommendation: Don't sleep on the ramen!!! Wow! The bowl of pork tonkatsu I ordered as a starter might have been my favorite part of the meal... Perfectly cooked noodles and a jammy egg in rich, garlicky broth. We will ABSOLUTELY be back (and probably check out the premium choices next time)! Great service and a delicious food. Loved our experience at EMA.
