Country Gardens Farm - Remember to bring your passport for your stamp! (More so on weekends if I'm not mistaken I would call in advance just in case!)

So cute! One thing that hasn't changed over the years of travel for me is wanting to support local…read morebut more so since moving to Georgia! Country Gardens offers a variety of fresh vegetables, meats, eggs, even raw milk for your pets! My pets quite enjoyed the raw milk and we will certainly be getting some more on our next visit. Their farm stand has self service during the week during the open season (good to know if we're in the area during the weekday). I wish we lived a bit closer because I would love to participate in a class in the future! Highly recommend following their Facebook page or directly through their website for more info.

Welcoming you to this sub'untry enclave is multiple goats, loads of chickens, a couple of great pyrenees, and a few miniature horses; perhaps they are ponies, I'm not really sure about that. After you park go visit the animals. After all you might later purchase some of their brethren. That's right kiddies.. those lovely chickens you are cooing to lay oodles of gigantic organic*, free-range*, all-grain* diet eggs. And those eggs are spectacular, which is a good thing at $5 per dozen. Country Gardens might even have some of those pastured* chickens frozen in the freezer waiting to be purchased, cooked up, and eaten. They also have loads of grass-fed*, chemical-less*, meat "products" like young goat, cow, or pork. There is even raw milk fresh from Country Gardens own dairy down the road. If that doesn't completely rock your socks off, and it does mine because I am one of those crazy bitches who wants to know exactly how many friends my dinner had while alive, what kind of music it liked to listen to, and what it's favorite hobbies were (Portlandia), then be prepared to get excited about the large quantity and great quality of their garden products. Oh yes. Not just a farm...but a nursery....for plants...lots of plants. All the plants I saw here looked great. Prices were good. I didn't really notice a difference in what I would have paid at big box nursery vs here. On top of the fresh meat and eggs, beautiful plants, and live animals, they also have a gorgeous vegetable garden and during the summer you can often purchase fresh*, organic*, obviously local* vegetables here. They have a CSA that delivers to Peachtree Road Farmers Market. So anyhoo to sum up the review, this place is great. It is a haul from Atlanta proper, but the eggs you get here are freaking A-MAZING, and the dogs are nice, and the animals cute, and the plants pretty, and so on and so forth...... *Had to throw in as many buzzwords as possible in order to meet my "what white people like" daily quota

This farm is a great resource for locals looking to get farm fresh products. They have been around…read morefor a long time and they truly care about serving their community with the best products and best farm experience. They provide school tours and also have wonderful fall activities for the whole family to enjoy. Every time I stop to buy some milk for pets my toddler always wants to pet the cows, say hey to the chickens, wave at Libby the donkey, see the pigs and lambs, and of course pet the little kitten that always comes by to say hi. It's a family owned and operated farm and it feels like that. I ALWAYS recommend this farm to anyone who is looking for a local farm. Thank you for opening your farm to the Public.

We went with our 4 grandkids ages 2-11. There was something for everyone. The kids (and maybe the adults) had fun in the play area sliding, pushing drainage pipes, racing rubber ducks, feeding baby cows, petting animals in the petting area, enjoying a hay ride, walking through the corn maze, and taking family pictures. Attention to details made such a difference. The one time entry price let us do it all. There was a picnic area, clean bathrooms, and easy parking. Employees were very friendly. We had a wonderful time and will be back next October!
