I agreed to anyone available for appointment yesterday upon leaving a voice mail the day before, because the reviews here are the reason I trusted ALL of the stylists. I'm a redhead with mildly greying, naturally red hair. I requested as close a match to my own hair, like Sherry did previously (who wasn't there, nor was I asked who colored my hair previously in May, nor was I consulted with for her technique or swatch match.) I explained that I was trying to regrow my already over processed hair, broken off at the roots from an overdeveloped permanent straightener from a year ago, that was clearly obvious as well. I specifically requested NO LOW LIGHTS, just the color I received previously, but my hair is now completely dark brown. Immediately after my rinse out, I was SHOCKED to see I had DARK BROWN OMBRE hair! I am devastated. Treva insisted it was just "dark" because it was wet, but there was no change after drying, which brought me to tears. After stating several times that's not what I asked for at all, she stated she'd speak with the manager, who also was apathetic and after repeating the obvious that my hair was as near raven as her own, with still no apology from anyone. I waited for an hour in the chair hoping for a solution as Treva left me there, begging her when she returned to please not make me have to go outside looking like that. Not one person offered an apology. Treva finally admitted after I asked what went wrong in communicating what I went in for, eventually shrugged it off and said "I guess I just misunderstood you." Still no idea why she placed a swatch book (I'm assuming used on me) in my lap, rapidly flipping through it, but I was never able to make or view a selection to correct the color because she kept stating it was "too red" to someone she spoke with by phone, despite my insisting it was not red but DARK BROWN! How would you like to walk into a salon one color, thinking you'll be walking out somewhat close to that color, only to leave being a completely opposite color that will turn grey in weeks and there's no way to match now because your original color is GONE and impossible to match now? I'm moving out of state this coming Sunday, and I'm grateful no one will ever get their hands on my hair in Little Rock, Arkansas ever again. Hundreds of dollars wasted on numerous stylists who (despite their mistake) were paid with very generous tips as well, consistently friendly and compliant with all, who've now irreparably destroyed my hair! Shelly couldn't call me herself after I found her number in an original texted photo of what was done, just said she couldn't do anything about it today, to come back tomorrow? I lost an entire day packing up a home to leave the state for that appointment! I burst into tears and left. Starting today, I refuse to pay people who refuse to deliver the services trusted to them to provide, and just do what they want. You have been warned of the pervasive lack of communication from the service industry here. If salons don't know how to service a client's needs, stop booking appointments or taking money from them! Win-win solutions through just a few extra minutes of COMMUNICATION with live phone calls/chair consultations, or by proactively listening/networking, (like Sherry did) by asking questions beforehand, and at the very least, be EMPATHETIC with their mistakes. ENOUGH!

It took a bit of time for the comments to be taken down and I don't think it was the owner that did it but rather a sweet sales rep that works there. I'm not particularly bothered by social media bullying. However, I am bothered by the fact that I paid a LOT of money as her customer to not be treated equally. No love lost. I just won't spend my money there or refer anyone to her services. It's really that simple. You're just a dollar sign in the chair.

But when I heard that Sunlimited had new owners, I wanted to see what it was all about. I am so glad I did! The place smelled so good!! Bailey was the lucky one who got to spray down my neon white body and she was very professional about it. I feel like I've got a natural, warm glow! This is sooooo happening again.
