So I'm from Texas where hard wax is our thing. I've been doing it for years so when I visited this location, I was shocked to see that it wasn't offered here. I was about to leave until the manager spoke to me about how sugaring worked and assured me if I didn't like my Brazilian, we would resolve it. My girlfriend and I went to the store on Cantrell for a Brazilian and Legs wax, but saw the sign for a $90 "full body" and opted for that instead as it is a better deal I didn't know "full body" mean legs, Brazilian and under arms only. Aren't arms a part of your body? Stomach? Anyways, she came out with patches of hair still left on her and her private area was RAW. The skin was so inflamed and there are literally tears in her skin in that area. This is nowhere near close to her first time getting this area waxed, so she has experienced what it should be like. Even 5 hours after the procedure she is still in pain and can barely touch the area. The technician went over the same areas over and over and that is a huge no-no regarding waxing. Overall, terrible experience at this particular place and will not be returning. We'll just stick to our old place which is more expensive, but you get what you pay for in quality and results. read more

I am new to Little Rock, and I'm glad I found this place! Salma was able to squeeze in an appointment for me today, and I had just started researching this morning - that was so appreciated! They are quick-to-help and to the point, which I like in a business. They also offer 5%, basically a built-in coupon - bonus! They are being COVID safe - you call when you arrive and they tell you on the phone when to enter the shop so there aren't too many people in the building at once. There are hand sanitizer stations all over, and the touchless check-in and check-out is a great feature. I am new to sugaring, but I found that while the process is the same, the pain is much less! I'm still a weenie with pain, but Salma kept me talking to help distract me and it worked! Overall a great experience, would recommend and I'll be back! read more

Selma was very nice and put me at ease. It was my fist Brazilian wax. If you haven't experienced that first thing to know is: it hurts. That's just how it is. But Selma was quick, professional, thorough, and sweet. Since it's my first it's not "perfect". But I know it's a process and I am happy with the results. Especially since she recommended a sugar scrub and soothing gel. Next time I'll do the "sugaring" since it's supposed to be less painful and I've begun the "process". Selma also threaded my eyebrows and tinted them. I was VERY impressed. Not painful, compared to plucking, quick, efficient. I overpluck them (oops) and fill them in everyday with eyeshadow. Ive been going to Unique Threading for about 3 years and Im done with them. Salma is great but the owner is a male Pig. I had an appointment for eyebrow threading and eyebrow tint. The morning of my appointment I woke up with what turned out to be the flu and called to reschedule. Some guy tells me I have to pay 1/2 of what my charges would have been for that day and place a deposit that would be held. Are you kidding me. I cant say enough Good about Salma but whoever owns the place and does this to customers should not be in business. We have the power to stop this kinda of business ethics! Stay Away!!! read more

I recently got a bikini sugar wax (that's the key sugar wax is the best and least painful) at unique threading and it was the least painful thing I have ever had done. I was really disappointed in my experience here today. I've been coming to Unique for a little over a year. I've been enough times by now to redeem a free wax, which I wanted to do today but they turned me away. I went in around 6:20 hoping to get my wax. They close at 7, so I figured I was in the clear. When I came in, no one greeted me or asked what I needed done. I simply signed into the kiosk as usual. I sat and patiently waited my turn. Come 6:53, someone finally asks to help me and pointed to a sink bowl for me to sit at. I apologized for the confusion and I let the lady know that I was in for a wax, not a bowl service. She then asked me to come back another day, because they close at 7. Yes, lady, I know. That's why I arrived 40 minutes ago. You're turning me away... because I had to wait... on you?! I simply told the lady that it was ok, I wouldn't be back. I drove down the street to European Wax Center. I arrived at 7:08. They scheduled me a very last-minute appointment for 7:15. I was out by 7:30, and the job was thoroughly done. I guess my loyalty has been earned elsewhere. read more

I have been going here for months and never had a bad experience, and just came in to get ready for my prom this weekend. I got my eyelashes tinted and there is a line above my lash line that has left me looking like I have eyeliner on half my eye. I got my eyebrows threaded and tinted and somehow they managed to take my nice, even, thick brows, and turn them uneven, thin, and BLACK when I asked for MEDIUM BROWN. I am disgusted and will not be coming back. I am so disappointed. REPLY: My biggest concern is the thinness and unevenness of my eyebrows.. unless i am completely mistaken, I dont think you can magically regrow eyebrows.. read more

Lol why ain't nobody tell me that they use strips when performing the Brazilian wax?!! I was very surprised. And initially, regretting my decision to come here because I know how much strips/soft wax hurt compared to hard wax. Turns out, she used sugar even though I asked for a wax. Fine by me. It was the same price, and I got the same results. Better yet, my vulva felt a lot less inflamed afterwards than it usually does with hard wax. I liked the all naturalness of the sugar and so did my mons pubis. Not gon' lie, it hurt bad DAB but, after she told me to relax, and I convinced myself it wasn't that bad---it wasn't that bad! I'll come here over European wax center any day. It's a little cheaper, and they offer threading to go along with your tortuous hair tipping procedure. The threading was standard, no complaints. Do not book here. They hold a deposit on your card and don't tell you upfront. Then they charge you a fee for moving the appointment to a later time. Also, if you don't need a service then they keep your deposit for that individual service. They're not flexible and are straight up crooks. read more

Yes! I'm so glad to have found another great threading option in town! I took a chance on Unique when I spotted it after barre class and I'm glad I went in! The lady who did my eyebrows did an excellent job and she was super quick too, even though I'd let my eyebrows get a little bit out of control and usually that means my hair gets super tough to yank out. Their prices are very good too! And from the sign-in process they have a loyalty points program which is nice, I didn't ask about how fast they accumulate though. Definitely planning on going back for eyelash and other services, I'll update on that too once I get some done. read more

Ok, the service is great and the ladies are super sweet, but there has got to be an easier system if you have a gift card. My husband got me a $100 gift card for my birthday. He was told there is no physical card, they should be able to look you up in the system. So, I go to the counter after a Brazilian wax and was going to use the balance on my account to pay. I was told I have to have the actual physical card. I told her my husband was not given a card and then showed her a confirmation email he sent me to show he paid for one. Still not good enough. So I ended up having to pay out of pocket for what should have already been paid for. It just is not fair and there has to be a better system on this because it's VERY frustrating. read more

Went to get a Brazilian and my underams done. The lady, Salma I think, used wax instead of sugar (even tho I specifically asked for sugar) She was super rough!!! I had spots under my arms that were bleeding and I also left with multiple bruises and my skin was RAW from the Brazilian - 3 days later and I'm PEELING. I've never had such a bad experience anywhere and never been raw/peeling in that region after a Brazilian. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Do not use this place! read more

I absolutely love this place!! I have been getting Brazillion waxes for the last few months and have noticed a wonderful difference in appearance! Today I decided to get the Brazillion wax, upper lip waxed, and eyebrows threaded. Everything looks amazing and I've already received 3 compliments in regards to my eyebrows within a span of 2 hours of getting it done. This was also the FIRST time I didn't experience any pain with getting my eyebrows threaded, compared to other threading salons. So they are now my "GO To" for everything! I have been coming to Unique for over 3 years and always receive excellent service. They are doing everything they can to maintain a safe environment for their clients during the COVID-19 pandemic. They screen everyone and ensure there are never too many people in the salon at once. They also take mask wearing very seriously. The services are affordable and efficient and it is easy to schedule appointments by phone or online. Salma does a great job with sugaring and threading and works quickly but still provides personalized attention to her clients. read more

I went here specifically to get my eyebrows threaded and the woman tried to convince me to get my mustache threaded too. After denying her ploy to get more money out me I handed her my credit card. She gave it back to me and told me there was an ATM in the back that I could use. So I ended up paying an extra $2.50 just so her business wouldn't get charged a dime. My charge was around $23 and I could only take out by 20s. So I ended up having to take out $40 from the ATM. I will never go back here. She was rude and made my first time so inconvenient and uncomfortable. read more

I had a groupon for this organization that expired. They refused to take it despite groupon saying the value paid never expires. They told me they have no way to scan it and they can't provide the service for free. I didn't want free service. I wanted what I paid for. Also, I tried coming to this place before my groupon expired on a sunday (my only off day) no one was there when they were advertised as opening at 12pm on Sunday! I've been going to this Salon to get my eye brows threaded since 2012. The owner and her daughter are very sweet and very down to earth. I've been threading my eye brows for 13 years, and I'm so glad I found a place like this after moving around the country so much. I always come out looking great and refreshed once they shape my eye brows and get rid of that "bush woman" look. :) They are decently priced as well compared to other places I've seen around Arkansas. The environment inside is very calm/zen like and takes the "pain" of threading out of existence. I'm immune to it now since it's been 13 years, but it's nice to feel relaxed while you're pampering yourself. If y9ou haven't been here, you need to! Very unique experience to say the least. I had won a gift certificate for a full body (body polish) and it was a very uncomfortable situation. I walked in and it was completely empty with just one lady working the whole place. She told me to go to the back room and strip completely naked onto a cold surgical looking table. The lady was nice, but seemed shocked that I had a gift certificate and I don't think she knew how to react. She was alone so she had to call the rest of the unique threading crew to come through for assistance. She began the body polish, which retails for around $100. All she did was exfoliate my entire body which kinda felt like shedding my two layers of skin off. The lady was nice, but I think she was new at this. Once the awkward hour passed, she handed me a bag with the leftover body scrub AS WELL as the wet and used exfoliation glove that she used on my entire body. I don't know if this is protocol but I just found it to be odd. I also got a facial there (the express facial) which was probably the best part of my experience there. They are pretty decent at facials I will say. I would not recommend the body polish or any massage there that they offer. Stick with only threading. read more

Worst experience ever. I scheduled an appointment for a Brazilian and underarm wax and to get my face and eyebrows threaded by Selma. During my Brazilian wax, she was waxing so fast that it was painful. I was near tears yet she continue to keep waxing instead of stopping for a little bit to see if I was ok. Then, after the wax, she was in a hurry to change the table paper where she didn't even let me change into my cloths. I come out to get my face threaded and start a conversation. Come to know that she was in a hurry because her employee over booked for the same time slot as my appointment and she thought it was rude to keep that appointment waiting. It upset me that she was willing to hurry for another appointment when I too was a paying customer receiving services and I was not well taken care of. The Brazilian wax hurt so bad I was sore for two day after. That's not normal. I come home and took a look at my face and patches of hair was still left on my cheeks, upper lip, and forehead. The threading job was also done in a hurry though that was not nearly as painful as the wax. This used to be my go to place but I will never step foot into this place again and would not even recommend this place to my friends or family. read more

I came here to get waxed when I found a Groupon for a Brazilian wax for $29 instead of their usual $60. Great deal, right? It should have been if it was for the full Brazilian wax. They only do a "frontal" wax. The full Brazilian, which would include the "back" area, is an extra $10! Which is not listed on any of their brochures or website. Not only that, the girl who waxed me didn't have the wax warm enough. She was pulling hairs out as she was applying the wax. It was not fun but I had already started the process so I let her continue so I could get it finished. I wish I had stopped her and asked for my money back. This girl had no regard for "what" she was waxing. She would slap the wax on and lay the cloth on top and then rip it off without looking to see if hair actually grew in that area! When she was finally done, she said there were a "few" hairs she couldn't get. Her "few hairs" was a strip she had waxed over and never removed that was a half inch long. I'm having to shave it off now that I'm home just to fix it. I won't be going back again! read more

This is actually the only threading salon I visit normally with no issues....but today I found it very rude to be told next time carry cash to cut down on OUR credit card cost!!! What???? As a business owner if the credit card cost is that much of an issue don't offer that option to pay not everyone carries cash and I work hard for my money and feel I should be able to spend it in whatever form I choose needless to say I won't be back I'm sure my debit card will work fine elsewhere!!! I would not give them any stars at all if that were a chose. The threading was adequate. The lady who I believe to be the owner offered me a facial. I replied NO thank you. At the time she offered, everywhere I went I was receiving complements on my skin. My dermatologist had cleared my skin of acne and I was enjoying an acne free glowing complexion for months and did not want to rock the boat. I am still enjoying this acne free complexion. I eventually ask my dermatologist about the facials offered because I was somewhat interested. He said that it was not a very good idea for acne prone people to receive these facials. 4 trips later she was still asking when will you do your facial. She put aloe vera on after the threading. She was obviously angry at my NO response and explanation from the dermatologist. She put the aloe vera on my face in a very rough and angry manner. This is an unprofessional establishment filled with unqualified high- pressured salesmen. read more

I purchased a groupon for a wax here, was told I needed to request the owner, because the other girl was terrible. So I specifically requested the owner when I called and made the appt. Showed up, and got the other girl. First off, there was hair on the table...should have known then, she then put the extremely hot sugar on me, after blowing on it(that's a no, no, as it puts her germs into the sugar). I told her it was too hot, and she then switched to wax-still blowing on it. She seemed to want to try and rip as much hair out at a time as possible, and did not keep the skin taught when doing it. It is the worst wax I've ever received. I could not finish, I had to have her stop. She showed no regard that I was in pain. I informed the girl at the front desk, she tried to offer me a discount for next time, I informed her I would not be back. Hate that this place is losing business because they didn't get someone who was thoroughly trained. But I would NOT recommend getting a wax here. I'm considering contacting the cosmetology board to see if she even has a license. read more
