Weeks after our engagement shoot, I noticed something off about my dress, and she had edited photos back to me within hours to help solve the issue. Back in September 2013, we needed our engagement photos quickly to produce save-the-dates and Jeremy delivered. We loved every shot he gave us and are constantly finding ways to use the pictures in new ways. Too, too many of the shots from our August 31 wedding are breathtaking. Jeremy gave me one photo before he left, taken just with his iPhone, and even that shot is spectacular. If I had taken those pictures I would've deleted them, and why a professional photographer would give those to a client boggles the mind. When I expressed concern to her she (1) asked me to send pictures if him with a normal smile and (2) offered to edit 5 more images at an additional cost if $25. I saw the additional unedited images that I could choose to have edited for an additional cost and several were much better than the ones with the fake smile. However, I refuse to spend extra money. She should have taken better pictures to begin with and/or chosen her best photos to edit and present to the client.

About 10 weeks after the wedding, we emailed Brittany to see when we'd receive the final photos, and after some unnecessarily heated back and forth, Brittany "complied" with her contract by literally picking the most meaningless and most unflattering photos for our final set, including multiple duplicates of the cake and other insignificant shots, and left out the most important pictures of our family, the wedding party and the bride and groom. We have been trying to work through this with her for weeks but she has been combative and spiteful (and now is unresponsive), claiming that we've caused her distress. She clearly decided to ruin our memories of the wedding by refusing to provide the photos we posed for, asked for, and have even expressed a willingness to pay extra for - all while hiding behind her contract and claiming she technically met her obligations to us. As the mother of the bride, I will never be able to recoup the memories of one of the most important days of my life, and that pales in comparison to my daughter who will never be able to share her full wedding photo set with her family and friends. Brittany refuses to cooperate with us in any way, shape or form, and has stopped responding to our messages. At this point, we've made it extremely clear that all we want is our full picture set and we're willing to work with her to get to that resolution. I take no pleasure in writing this or any other negative reviews but I feel I've been left with no other choice - if nothing else, I hope my sharing this experience can prevent someone else from making the mistake of trusting Brittany with their most important events and memories.

Cannot recommend these guys enough!…read more Our original wedding was schedule for May 2020 when Covid struck. we had to postpone 3 times and Something Blue could not have accommodated us any better. Hearing horror stories of couples losing out on thousands of dollars from wedding vendors who would not refund their money, wouldn't accommodate a change of date, or would vanish all together made us so thankful for having Something Blue by our side and allowing us to have peace of mind while going through all the changes. As far as the wedding day(s), we had 2. First we had a small back yard wedding with immediate family only during covid. Liz and Conrad were amazing. We did what we could with decorations but in the end, it was just a back yard, but Liz and Conrad made it look like a twenty thousand dollar venue with their pictures. The 2nd wedding was at our originally planned for venue and we once again had both Liz and Conrad. They captured the day perfectly. They were constantly coming up with great photo ideas that all turned out amazing. Probably my favorite part about hiring the Something Blue crew was we didn't have to ask them to do anything. They were always there for the best shots, came up with their own ideas, and best of all they blended in. A lot of photographers I see at weddings will stand right in the middle of everything to get a good shot disrupting the view of the guests and the flow of the wedding. Liz and Conrad were perfect in getting the best shots while also remaining incognito. Lastly, they are just great people. We've met at their studio a hand full of times now and every time we find ourselves getting lost in conversation with them. We had a small,…read moreintimate ceremony with our closest family and friends in the Spring Valley Nature Park in Schaumburg, IL. Conrad was our photographer and he knocked it out of the park! For months before the wedding, their whole team was professional and quick with responding to any questions I had. They were transparent and well-organized. We had two phone meetings to meet with Conrad before the big day. Even before the wedding, Conrad was so sweet and eager to shoot our Medieval wedding. His own excitement made me look forward to the wedding even more, since he genuinely wanted to be apart of it. He is so talented! And he went above and beyond on the day of by not only getting photos at the ceremony cabin, but ALSO traveled with us to Medieval Times (even waiting in line with us while we checked-in) so we could get interior photos. He captured the magic of our day! I've only seen a few sneak peeks of images (it's only been 4 days since the wedding!) and they are incredible, right out of a movie. I can't wait to see them all!
