To say our pictures exceeded our expectations would be a gross understatement. They were amazing - breathtaking and beautiful, classy and inventive. The special effects he did to some of the shots were fantastic and unlike anything I've seen from other wedding photographers. He was so easy to work with from the beginning, planning stages through the delivery of our album and picture cd and everything in between. Countless friends and family have complimented us on his work, many commenting they wish THEY had used him for their wedding. You can tell from his work that he is more than a photographer, he is an artist. We took many fun pictures around the city - the lakefront, el stops, Wrigley, our favorite neighborhood bar, and they all turned out so well. Our little one arrived earlier than expected so the photo shoot had to be scheduled last minute. Luckily, Michelle was quick to respond and was able to accommodate us on such short notice. Our shoot was done at our home visit and she brought her props which really gave the photos a "studio" look and feel (but without the studio price.) She was really quick and fluid in the way she positioned our little one...so much so that baby was asleep through the whole 2.5 hour session and several outfit changes! I just had a really really late engagement session (I'm getting married in 2 weeks) with Alex Roy…read more A friend referred him to me and he was great. I showed him some of my must have pictures and he in turned suggested a location - his hometown, Lake Forest. When my fiancee and I got to the quaint downtown area, we fell in love. It was a hot August day, but most of the time we were able to find shade. Our first location was the train station which was adorable. A couple of my must have shots were there, and we executed them with ease from Alex's direction. Then we moved onto the downtown center taking some pictures in the sun and the grass. Finally took some more urban shots at a really cute farmer's market (which happened to be in an alley), against brick wall, on staircases, and finally sitting on the street (we had someone help us with the oncoming traffic). He was really patient with us, plus we threw ideas off one another - it was awesome. I loved his eye to detail as well as his creativity. It was a great, relaxing time and can't wait until we see the pictures. Check out his blog for his most recent projects! :)

During our session, Marta had lots of good ideas and spots to take the photos. Marta was also very reasonable in price and the photos came out beautiful. Where do I even begin? I first met Marta last August for my sunflower photo shoot. I wanted to make…read moremy graduation from my Master's special. I fell in love with her work. A few months later I got in touch with her again so that she could do an engagement session since my husband and I had never done one before marriage. That was such a fun session to do especially because my husband can be camera shy, but he had so much fun with the photo shoot and we use those photos for our Christmas cards. We had so much fun with this photo shoot as well because we were able to be ourselves and not pose so much for the camera, but she was able to capture so many of those perfect moments that come out of no where. The photos were beautiful. Fast forward to April of 2019 and I just had to have her do our pregnancy announcement photos! We went to a farm and it was so rustic and beautiful and Marta really used the natural beauty to make our photos perfect. We laughed, we enjoyed every moment. Of course we had to call her to do our maternity shoot because working with Marta gives you the freedom to share your ideas and not only stick to the traditional poses, but also let's you just go with the flow in order to capture your best true self. Those photos have been some of my favorite. I highly recommend Marta to anyone looking to capture your special moments on film to last a lifetime.
