Although this lady was closing up, she allowed my friend and I to still golf because we were a party of 2 and could get it done within the 30 minutes. We were so thankful!! This mini golf course is so well maintained and the landscaping is beautiful. Very clean and fun to play on because there are different obstacles depending on the hole. While it is one of the more scenic courses I've found the scheduling is awful as they try to squeeze as many people in and it becomes dangerous with the amount of people and balls flying around the same 9 holes. They even tried to group us with other people to condense the course even more. It is the only course in BV so if you're visiting your options are slim. A lot of improvements needed as it's very beat up but again I can overlook all of that for the amazing views.

Everything is in a small bowl, so if your ball bounces/gets hit into the "fringe", the ball gets kicked back on to the fairway. It was a fun design, and very pretty. Seriously though, the driving range, make some signs, put out some buckets, weld metal junk together, build a robot, you need something to hit at in the giant dust bowl. The marking for red, blue, white tees and the signage, brilliant. Bright painted rocks, why doesn't everyone do that!!

They said they were not hold the golf cart for 15 minutes explained that the course was wide open according to the reservations, we are experience, golfers, and seriously doubt if we take two hours to play that nine holes of golf also offered that I would give them my phone number and we would end around short if needed. We are recently in a very serious car accident and I'm unable to walk the course. My wife even has a handicap placard to show that she's unable to walk that far. I am very disappointed in the lack of consideration, considering the long drive that we were prepared to do and the fact that the reason we were gonna be 15 minutes late was because of a road closure for over an hour. Is this really how you treat your customers I will make sure that everyone I know, including every golf course, golf store, instructor, a travel person I know is aware of how you care about your customers. Christian and her assistant, Sarah were so responsive and personable that made our planning process easy and actually fun even from a distance (we live in Chicago). They were organized, eager to help and gave lists of top of the line vendors to work with. Christian was welcoming and made us feel so comfortable on their Ranch. She even gave my wife a warm hug and calming words of advice on our wedding day. Deer Creek Valley Ranch will always hold a dear place in our hearts. I'll never forget the amazing sight of my wife coming over the Covered Bridge on a horse drawn carriage to marry me. Now I hear the place is even better now that their Man Cave is done! Everything we have been rained out we have been offered a rain check. The food is great and nice place to eat at the turn around. We always enjoy golfing here. One thing to note is they rarely have the beverage/snack cart going to definitely get to go for your cart.

Beautiful as the location is on a crisp morning, it's a bit of a dog track in terms of layout and conditioning. So, I was pretty excited on my recent trip to Denver that we had a tee-time up at the River Course. For a first experience of truly high-end Mountain Golf, this was a winner. Boy did we luck out - it was a perfect Fall day. Weather in the high-50's, Aspens were near peak-color, and the sky was crystal clear. Oh yeah - and I was smoking the ball on the range. I have as close to entirely positive things to say about the course as is possible. Stepping up to the first tee, a nice elevated look down over the fairway, it was clear that this is a beautiful location and a well designed and well maintained track. It's more of a resort-style course, so it is accommodating. While you can get into trouble if you stray too far, the fairways are generous and leave some margin for error. Overall, the course is fair - although there were number of holes I'd like to have a second crack at, since I might play differently with local-knowledge. The greens are fairly quick, and they are challenging. The super-star is the beautiful mountain scenery. The front nine is nice. There are some nice holes along the river, and a couple of cool elevated tee-boxes. #9 is a dramatic downhill Par-3 to end. The back-nine is off the hook. There were at least five awesome tee shots, including the fun (but frustrating) #16, and the magnificent #18 Par-5 to finish. The look down over Lake Dillon towards the range to the West is just beautiful. This is a fun place to play - and yes, the ball does fly at this elevation. If you are looking for a place to come and enjoy yourself, without driving yourself nuts, this is a good course. If you are visiting, this is easy to access, and it's a nice drive up from Denver. I believe that we also took advantage of a deal for Epic Pass (Vail Resorts - Ski Pass) Holders. $69 with a cart. Not bad for a Saturday afternoon.

There are gopher holes everywhere, so watch your step unless rolling an ankle is part of your pre-shot routine. The greens somehow have more sand than the bunkers, which is especially confusing. At times it feels like you're putting out of a sand trap no matter where your ball lands. If you're looking for smooth greens, this isn't the place. If you're looking for wildlife and an overpriced zoo, you've found it.
