We let them know that we needed the driveway done and cured before that date so we could use a wheelchair on it . They were here the next day to take out the old concrete and prepare it for the new. These guys really knew their stuff and they worked long and hard and did an absolutely stellar job. Communication with Michigan Rose Construction was great. They were always available to answer questions and we enjoyed interacting with the men who were doing the work. We would hire them again for any construction project without hesitation.

Weeks later, I contacted the company asking when the service would be performed because I had received no completion notice, no door hanger, and saw no evidence that the work had been done. I was then told the service had actually been completed a month earlier and my card was charged. When I raised concerns, the company relied on GPS records showing a truck at my property but could not provide photos from my property, despite telling me that photos are normally taken. What disappointed me most was the way the issue was handled. At no point did anyone offer to come to the property, walk the lawn with me, inspect the results, or independently verify my concerns. Instead, I was left with a charged credit card and no confidence that I received the service I paid for. Most importantly, there was never any visible evidence that the aeration and overseeding had occurred, and there still isn't. More than a month later, the lawn shows no meaningful signs of new grass growth, improvement, or change. Whether the work was not performed or was performed so poorly that it produced no observable result, the outcome was the same from my perspective: I paid for a service and saw no evidence that it benefited my lawn. The office staff was polite throughout the process, but based on my experience, I would not use this company again.

I did a bit of quick math on the mulch and sent me a text shortly after with the rate for the labor and the materials. I found it to be incredibly reasonable so we decided to move forward with the job. They are booked pretty heavily so it took a couple of weeks for our appointment but they showed up and worked efficiently to finish the job neatly and thoroughly. Our garden looks amazing and they did a great job pulling all those pesky weeds in our rock beds that had been causing me grief (and back pain!) over the spring and summer. I'm so happy with how it all looks. I can't stop marveling at our very cute yard now! And my plants seem way happier now that we've got the mulch around them as well. He installed two stairways of huge stone slabs. The cascading locally- mined slabs convey an artistry and aesthetic consideration that is greatly appreciated. The multi-tiered retaining walls have broad natural curves and were built with care. It was a big job. I suspect it took a little longer than Chris expected. He finished up well. Chris and his skilled crew adapted to the changing scope of the project. The add-ons to accommodate the expanding complexity of the project, along with some much needed stump removals on the rest of the property, were done well and were fairly priced. Chris was attentive to our suggestions and needs. Definitely money well spent. He's a good man. He's got integrity and he's good with communication. He's respectful of his crew. They work well together. We will certainly hire him for projects in the future.
