We have used AK Lawn Care at our commercial properties and recently had an incident where their equipment struck and damaged the doors at one of our self-storage facilities. We filed a formal damage claim with documentation and video evidence. It has been weeks and we have not received any response -- no acknowledgment, no follow-up, nothing. Any reputable contractor should be willing to address damage caused by their crew. AK Lawn Care has chosen to go silent instead. We hope they will do the right thing and reach out to resolve this. read more

Do not recommend. Was scammed out of $xxxx in the course of trying to hire this company to perform lawn services at my home. The owner's response was to tell me to "change my password" meanwhile the scammer's emails started after I received messages from their office coordinator. read more

Working with Alex and Kevin has been a pleasure. I reached out to 5 landscaping contractors when I decided to transform my yard. Alex responded to me the same day and we scheduled a time. One other outfit responded, but didn't follow up. After my appointment with AK, Alex delivered a quote in the 1 week time frame he promised. Alex was honest with me and told me his project lead times were delayed, but he gave me a start date that was acceptable. AK was able to push my start date up and Alex communicated a clear project schedule. Not only did Alex return my calls or texts within the same day, he typically returned them within the same hour! I was completely satisfied with the work, fair price, and billing terms. I'm so happy with how the project turned out! After my experience with AK for this project, I hired them for weekly lawn maintenance. As many of you know, May, June, and July are the months requiring weekly mowing. Alex and Kevin have been extremely flexible with me for August and September and have skipped weeks in August and September per my request. Dishonest and arrogant. Do an ok job mowing and trimming. However they don't warranty their trees, even when their invoice indicates they will. Last year they planted 2 trees and one died. Trees had been watered and paid for. I called within the year and they said it wasn't warrantied. She didn't give a reason why, even when I asked. In April I paid and ordered a new tree. I later called and asked them to do it in August/Sept due to the cicadas and the heat (especially since they won't warranty their work). The guys showed up in June to plant (they didn't have a tree w/ them and the guy at my house called and told the guy not to get the tree). During my conversation with the office the guys left. I asked it the tree could be planted in August and the gal said they'd check. They followed up and voided my tree PO and cancelled the remainder of my lawncare contract. They KEPT my money for the tree deposit. Said it was a restocking fee even though they never picked up the tree. Avoid them unless you want to get ripped off. read more

From the looks of reviews here. it looks like their main focus is on landscaping, not lawn care; but they've done a terrible job of keeping the lawn at my rental property mowed and cared for. Today, they were here for only 5 mins and tried to cut wet, damp grass. Team (one worker and a woman who just watched him) were unfriendly and unprofessional. They've had second- and third-chances, but we're done (& I would recommend avoiding AK for lawn mowing). read more

GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH AK! I had the pleasure of having AK Lawncare out to replace the grass in my front yard.(The previous owner sprayed the lawn with weedkiller so he could stop getting tickets for not mowing his grass and also had a hideous chainlink fence that I removed which caused sinking and sagging throughout the front lawn. To make things clear: This house was the eyesore on the street causing other people to question whether or not they will get a bump in their property values. I can happily say that Adam, the owner at AK, came out and personally estimated replacing the entire front lawn with sod. His estimate was competitive(i shopped, they werent the cheapest but werent the most expensive either) and I already knew they do great work(go look at their portfolio or ask for a reference.) so i went with them. They came out, graded my front lawn, and installed the grass within about 6 hours(give or take). While time wasnt an issue it was very nice to see they came out and did everything in a timely manner. As for the finished result...I'm ecstatic. Everything is edged perfectly and they even uncovered and cleaned up some bricks that were lining my front driveway grass before that I didnt even know were there.(They help support the grass from what I understand and it would be a paint o remove all of them. Plus they look nice) In the end, I give AK Lawncare an A+. Quality workmanship, competitive price, great results. read more
