I used to go this location when it was Salisbury Eye Care. My most recent experience took the…read morebetter part of 2 months to receive my glasses. I was also told I needed a referral. After the almost 2 months when I went to pick up my glasses i asked about the referral as I've heard nothing. I was told more than once that I was not an emergency therefore the referral place would call me after all more important patients were tended to. I explained that I know an appointment could take months and it had already been almost 2 months. I said If the referral place didn't contact me till June and my appointment was for several months out that it was a long time. Again i was told basically I wasn't a important as others with a true eye emergency. I called the referral place myself and was told they call immediately when they receive a referral to make the patient an appointment. They also replied they had received no referral for me. The lady at the specialist office was very cordial and offered to call Peak Eye Care on my behalf to get the referral letter. After this experience I will never go to Peak Eye Care for future needs. I really like Dr. Sie but everything else has made me not want to go there again.

This team allowed me to bring in my prescription and although they didn't have what I needed in stock they were able to help me with a new pair of contacts to get me through so I was able to enjoy my weekend. They were kind and efficient, even observing them with other customers they were all extremely courteous with everyone. His office was great at squeezing me in under short notice today, before I was going to be out for surgery. He has the best Doctor ~to~Patient skills! So personable and friendly, Smart too!! Our family has been coming to him for years. He is also wonderful about putting my sons contacts in for him , when I've needed him to...haha...due to me being out of town...He's probably literally laughs about that one , when he gets the call every so often. (My son is 18) haha.....But I do appreciate it! Not a great experience for me. It was a bit like herding cattle. According to the website they have…read moremany drs. But not in one location. I went to the Rock Hill location. Only two drs. available. I waited an hour beyond my appointment time to be seen. In the meantime the tech, Sasha, who was awesome, did the preliminaries. I was impressed with the equipment even though there is an extra charge to use two of the machines. Which I agreed to. Which brings me to when I first called to make my appointment. I called to see if they had the latest digital technology. Red flag number 1 " we have machines" . Ok . I worded my question several different ways to which the response was " we have machines". Perhaps staff needs educating. I hang up. Do some more research online and can book an appointment immediately. Upon arrival I found the staff welcoming. When I got in to see the dr. I found her competent, no complaints there although they had to be overwhelmed with the steady stream of people with no end in sight. When do they go to lunch? I also saw no hand washing stations anywhere. I found myself wondering if they wash their hands. If you leave people sitting too long we have time to wonder things. After my exam, it was sit and wait some more. I got in trouble for sitting in a particular chair because they left a patient,'s paperwork laying around on the table.perhaps put your paperwork away. Which led to more wondering, will they leave mine lying around? Finally, I'm seen by the person I got in trouble with for sitting in the wrong chair. Why am I here? " to get contact lenses". Did you have an exam? "Yes" at that time it dawned on me I don't even know my drs. name. "It will be on your paperwork, " she replied."that will be $160 and your contacts will be here in two weeks". Wait! I have questions! To make a long, two,hour ordeal short, I got a trial pair of contacts after I asked for them. They didn't even try to sell me eyeglasses. At that point I just wanted out of there anyway. The place is very overwhelming. I can see if you have a lot of kids going there because they have good deals on eyeglasses. Will I go back? Probably not, although I do,have to go back to get my contacts. Stayed tuned.......
