First and foremost let me just say I don't like to leave bad reviews. I'm a small business owner myself therefore I know what it's like. However, this is my fourth time staying here and dining at the onsite restaurants. The very first time, I enjoyed it and thought the place was beautiful overlooking the golf course and the bay. It definitely has gone downhill over the years. I booked a room for my husband and I for Father's Day this year. It started at the checkin counter. A very unfriendly and unmotivated staff. The room was ok. The person who checked us in said our room was upstairs but it was on the ground floor. Then we decided to eat breakfast. The person who took our order was the rudest, unfriendliest and unhelpful person ever! There are other beautiful places to stay along the Oregon coast. I will be nor recommend any of my family and friends to ever stay here. Period read more

Gorgeous location, but an average customer service staff. I've been staying here once a year and it's a very outdated resort. They could definitely use an upgrade facelift . Overall, there is a peace and tranquility to the area of the resort, but it's very outdated. Great golf course and beautiful views. read more

We stayed at an oceanfront lodge prior to coming here and checked in to Salishan on my actual birthday. I loved the Salishan way more than the other place. We had a premium King room (had a sofa bed but we didn't use it). Three nights spanning over a weekend cost under $1,700 to book the stay alone. There was a balcony with chairs to enjoy the wonderful fresh air of Oregon. We were assigned to the Chinook on a third floor. I enjoyed the multiple windows that brought the room to life. We also had a fireplace thst our dogs enjoyed sitting next to as well. Speaking of our dogs, the property provided us two bags for our dogs. Each bag had a dog toy, poopy bags, and some treats. I thought this was a really nice gesture and made us feel welcome. This property has a rustic yet modern design, feeling like a forest retreat. There are activities to take advantage of here, but we didn't partake due to having our dogs with us and didn't want to leave them alone in the room. Across the street, you have shops and more food. On site, you have some food options, as well as coffee. The coffee was DIVINE yet it was more costly than I expected. I got a milk chocolate cinnamon bar and a lavender lemon ice cream sandwich from the small marketplace. We did take advantage of food here. My partner ordered a steak sandwich in person and was able to request a delivery to the room. I believe this was from the Provisions Market menu? My partner enjoyed the sandwich. I tried some of the fries, which I thought were great. We also did in-room delivery the following day. The menu we read from (which was viewable by a QR code in the booklet in our room) did not specify if food is from Provisons Market or The Attic. Maybe it is both? It seems like both of them offer different items but perhaps only certain items can be delivered? I would review the food separately if I knew for sure but since the food was delivered to our rooms, I will just leave the comments here. The creamy forest fettuccine was good, but advertised having "fresh basil." There was no basil.....none. There were just a few of tiny mushrooms but nothing crazy. My partner got crab cakes and said they were really, really good. We also ordered two different artisan personal pizzas.. the prosciutto and arugula, as well as the Foreger. Both of them were really different, but both were tasty. These reminded me more of a flatbread than a personal pizza. Still good though. Flourless chocolate tort was small, but tasted rich. I appreciated the fresh berries, which have been a favorite of mine I have enjoyed while vacationing here in Oregon. My partner told me that he felt way more relaxed staying at the Salishan than staying at the resorts we booked in Hawaii. The views were breathtaking from the balcony. It truly is a cozy getaway with a touch of rustic luxury. I felt it was worth it, and would love to come back to take advantage of space treatments, see the live entertainment, or eat at a nice table taking in the beauty that is nestled all around. read more

The grounds are beautiful. The costumer service was great. Our ocean view room was outdated and ruined by the constant traffic noise. There was no sitting outside on the balcony to enjoy the view and serene atmosphere. The food was terrible. $30 for a personal pizza that tasted like cardboard and canned mushrooms. The spa on the other side of the highway was very lovely but is not attached to the lodge so it's a short walk or a drive to get your spa service. Also the "miles" of trails turned out to be Maybe a quarter mile walk through the trees, but by the time you were far enough away to not hear the traffic you were turning around to go back. The rooms are amazing, the pool was exceptional, and their customer service was great! They had covered walkways to all the hotel rooms around campus so if it was wet and raining like it was you weren't getting soaked walking from the lodge to your hotel room that was a huge plus! The only downfall we had was that the women's sauna wasn't working and their hot tub ran about 100 degrees which was fine since it made it so our kids could enjoy it as well. read more

We have been coming to Salishan for over 15 years now. My husband proposed to me here years ago so it's extra special to us. It has gotten better and better every trip. Each time we come here there is another improvement to this already great property. On our last trip 3/24/26-3/26/26 Michael really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. When our original room wasn't available he improvised and remedied the situation quickly and was so kind to our two daughters by giving them blown glass globes. They have been talking about it non stop and it made their trip so special. Thanks Salishan for a wonderful time! Your staff is awesome and we will be back soon! read more

I had a great time staying here. It rained most of the time I was here, so I didn't get to try out many of the amenities or golf course, but what I did experience was great, with a couple caveats. I do intend to return to this hotel during my next stay in Lincoln City. Pros: - Staff are very helpful and friendly. Even the room service delivery people are just wonderful. - Room was clean and well set up. - The fireplace in the room sets a really nice ambience. - They have Tesla (NACS) chargers on site as well as adapters for other types of EVs, which are free for guest use. - There is an associated set of shops across the street which include a bakery, candy shop, barber shop, and a few restaurants. - Room service was delicious, and I felt the prices were actually better than restaurants near where I live. Cons: - The bedsheets were a bit thin, so I had to keep the room a bit warm at night. Other notes: - No handheld sprayer in the shower. - Water pressure on one sink was quite low while the other was very high. read more

great place to visit if you like the lodge community package kinda thing. They have a great campus that includes spa golf restaurants and everything in one. Accessible and a corporate feel but the campus architecture and design of the place is really cool. The pathways landscaping and engineering of the place is beautiful. If you like this design stuff you will love it here. The restaurant at the lodge is decent but not great, the bar is actually great though. Go eat somewhere like the pizza place or the steakhouse then hit this bar for a drink. Overlooking the golf course and woods it is an impressive view. there is also a fire pit with Adirondack you can gather around which is nice! The rooms are great too, you get a fireplace in each one and a balcony overlooking the woods and course. They have ziplines and some tree walk thing as well but I haven't seen it yet. read more

Whoa! Came here for an engineering conference with my husband, we were lucky to get to stay two days which is recommended to even see what this beautiful place has to offer. Grounds are LOVELY! Landscapers are on top of it and truly talented. Staff here is very friendly, rooms are clean and nicely appointed. Comfortable beds, balconies which for me is fantastic as I love to sleep with the window open whether it's cold or not. Only complaint I have is the food here is not very good. I know they try, servers are all nice but honestly, I didn't think anything I had here was good, breakfast or dinner. It certainly doesn't reflect on the scale and grandeur of this resort. Would love to stay again though, I'll just eat somewhere in town when I'm here. read more

While the rooms are lackluster, the overall atmosphere is lovely. The main lodge and lobby is beautiful and they greet you with a taster of either kombucha or wine on top. I love the eco-friendly focus and wellness aspects. What I don't love is no climate control in the rooms. It was too warm for my liking, even in November I woke up sweating. The bed was very comfortable but I don't love that there's no duvet or covering on the comforter because it makes me feel like it's not clean. Lots of imperfections in the room like rust stains on the exhaust fan and shower, but we didn't really mind because a certain amount of that is to be expected at the coast. I will say that it was a little frustrating not having a legitimate trash can in our room or around the area outside because after 3 days, a certain amount of waste is to be expected. We didn't eat in the restaurant because we had other spots along the coast we wanted to hit, but I will say that breakfast in bed was VERY overpriced and underwhelming. Our room technically had a view of the bay, but you had to look past the 101 to see it so we didn't spend time on the patio enjoying a quiet, peaceful atmosphere like we were hoping for. Overall it was a good experience and we will probably return in the future, but we'd like to have a room not facing the road. Also, I HIGHLY recommend the spa but be sure to book early if you want to visit! We got lucky and were able to sneak in a couples massage from the waitlist but if you want to guarantee your service, start looking several weeks in advance. read more

At the recommendation of a neighbor, I tried the hair salon which is part of the spa. Had no idea these services were available! I was treated very nicely, the hair procedure was fine. However, I was not confident that my stylist was proficient at helping me with my color choices. It turned out okay, but the overall experience was too understated and I wanted better coverage with a softer shade. Another guest spoke quite highly of the stylist, so there you go. The 70s called and it wants its' room back. For the hype, I was expecting more. The rooms are outdated and dark. They are clean, but, the room had a musty/damp smell of the coast. Bathroom is outdated and shower curtain was so short, we ended with water on the floor every time. Housekeeping was limited. So, we ended up requesting new towels to be delivered. Salishan is nowhere near a store or gas station, so be advised. The grounds of the property are pretty and the people who work here are amazing. If they could upgrade the rooms, it would be a really nice place to stay. However, at the current prices one should expect a four to five star experience. I could see at their current state spending $150 a night. Nothing more. So, to me their nightly rate is excessive. No hurry to get back there. Probably look elsewhere to compare. read more

Pros Nice, comfortable, good size room Decent (not great) beds Clean Great L2 EV chargers and plenty of them Nice bar After the prior night in Astoria at a hotel that cost the same but gave you much less in return, this place was a good value Cons A woman in the room where you get coffee, etc., flat refused to give me a cup of water heated with their expresso machine. No one in a coffee shop - Starbucks, local place, etc. - has ever refused that simple, fast-to-fulfill request before. AThe woman was quite rude when refusing as well, BTW. This unusually egregious non- service lowers my rating substantially. It is a shame to see an otherwise good establishment with helpful employees torpedoed by one rude employee determined to deny a simple customer request. read more

With the price point, I expected more amenities and toiletries in the rooms. Bare minimum is provided in the rooms, including a $15 fan to keep you cool feels like a rip off compared to the price you're paying and the "luxury" they advertise. When the air/AC is on, you can barely feel it. Thankfully we came on a good weather day where it wasn't too hot or cold. The fireplace was cool, I can imagine the winters here are enjoyed. We booked a double queen room and received an overlook room 139. It was a downstairs room and we got to park right up front. We enjoyed the trees as our view as it provided privacy and added to woody cabin feel. Definitely enjoyed a hot cup or two of coffee out there on the patio. A table, 2 rocking chairs and a small built in looking bench is provided. Our room was a walk down the path away from the lobby which had the restaurant, store, fire pits and basically all the amenities. The hotel is a short drive away from the town, which is where we grabbed our dinner, breakfast and checked out local shops. Dog friendly and your furry friend even gets a welcome bag. read more

This is one of the worst accommodations we have ever stayed. At 600.00 a night that should be a fairly luxury status accommodation. This is more like a roadside motel. I am going to just list some items that I feel should just be what to expect from this price point and we're not. Air conditioning. Windows that open. Soap not screwed to the wall. No Outdated furniture and rusted light fixtures. No smell of natural gas permeating the air right outside your room. No Golf balls being chipped right outside your window early in the morning and frankly a safety hazard. Can you move the driving range away from the rooms? No Falling apart Pillows that were so old and smelled. No cork screw or wine glasses in the room. When I asked front desk for them they told me I could come to the desk to get a cork screw but could not have any wine glasses. No bottled water in room. Pool was old and outdated hot tub was cold. You cannot eat or drink in pool or hot tub area even if you order from hotel. So no hanging at pool. Not that you would want to. Depressing atmosphere. No housekeeping. Have to ask. When I did ask I was told they could do it tomorrow but would provide towels. They did housekeep the room the next day but failed to fill locked soap dispenser of body wash. Had to shower with shampoo. Housekeeping should be part of this price point accommodation. I did not know it was not. No one informed us that it was not until I read the tacky sticker on the glass in the bathroom. They advertise this as a coastal lodge. You are not on the coast. You are across the street from it. You have to cross busy highway 101 that you can hear in your room. Thin walls besides hearing 101 you can hear your neighbors tv. Charged for accommodation fees of 190.00 when we did not use one of the accommodations no golf and no trail park. Why am I paying for someone else's golf? Tried for three weeks to make a spa reservation and they were fully booked. Not giving guest any priority. I saw other people from nearby hotels coming to the spa. Maybe could have gotten a spa appointment if we stayed somewhere else. Wish we did. read more

Free yoga class everyday, beautiful pool in a cedar building, Leroy seltzer rope art and woodcarvings, decent beds, nice room layout. I drank the tap water. Keurig coffee is gross: the lobby coffee was weak. I miss the mini golf they had a while back. Gym was nice: sauna great, spa was down while we were there. The locker rooms were dirty. Slippery pool deck next to the locker rooms. I like the separate saunas and locker rooms. Thank you Salishan for not making gender neutral bathrooms in the public spaces. Our room had hard surface flooring, and the chairs scraped on it: put some pads on those chairs!! Could hear our neighbor every time they moved their chair an inch. We had the spa package: $735 for two massages, gratuity and two nights. So about $165 a night. Had a couple of drinks there but breakfast at the great Smoothie place across the highway! I had reached out to Savannah R, which is the resort manager of some of some sort I had mentioned that I was willing to come back there and give them another shot if the accommodation was right.... That being said reading all the yelp reviews. Savannah proceeded to offer me a $50 dining credit and two night host stay at one of their Bayview rooms after reading the yelp reviews. There is no Bay view. It's a sliver of the bay and it is close to highway.101 so it is very noisy. I feel those accommodations would make it worse. Seems how I didn't have those problems. The first time around. I asked her if we could get a room with the jetted spa and $100 dining credit because when I left there the first time my dinner was $59 plus a tip when the food was cold I know it's not the waiters fault that the food was cold so I felt obligated tip anyway so I told her that the $50 was not enough and would counter with 100 my dinner for one night was in total $75 so I don't see $50 covering for even one night's dinner.. they failed once again trying to fix their accommodating. I was willing to give them another shot, but they failed to come through with that. read more

"One Liner" sums it up- LIPSTICK ON A PIG. Our family is VERY familiar with this area and familiar with this lodge. This place was AMAZING about 15 YEARS ago! So if you're looking for just a beautiful massage or "amenities" that u can use, then that's PERFECT - the food is VERY expensive but VERY good. Other than THAT, this place is extremely overpriced and absolutely FILTHY and the wiring is dangerous! My parents were there for a week and the longer u stay, the more things go wrong. The staff is extremely pleasant..... accept for the general manager. HE ABSOLUTELY has NO idea about customer service. Extremely arrogant and had an attitude. He might need a couple courses in "Management"... Just saying. So my brother and I drove out there to be with our mom for her Bday. Unexpectedly Dinner was 4 + hrs , and 7 courses but very good. I was exhausted and didn't want to drive 3+ hrs back home. My parents got a room for me so I could take a bath and sleep. When I got in my room I absolutely couldn't BELIEVE how FILTHY these rooms are! Literally the only thing clean and made, was the bed! They have JETTED tubs and I couldn't wait to get in. I open the curtain, and all I saw was this dark ring around the entire tub like someone just got out of it. All of these balls of dead skin were all over the bottom of the tub. The towels had hair in them. There was not one thing in that entire room, that was clean. I literally had to clean every single thing I used, from the ice bucket to the glasses I used. The microwave was filthy. There was brown "something" on the couch. I refused to take off my shoes because everywhere I walked, The floor was super sticky. There was "something" white on the nightstand . Not to mention the 1/4 sandwich I found when I moved the nightstand That had a ton of filth behind it. Yes the fireplace was beautiful, but it would turn on and off by itself. So there's obviously something wrong with the gas. They absolutely did not clean this room whatsoever. My parents wasn't as BAD, but still was very dirty in areas. Oh yeah- the salishan "knew" they were going to have a POWER outage (JUST the salishan area), BUT THEY DIDNT TELL THE CURRENT GUESTS! So forget going in and out of your room with ur KEY, forget it if you have a CPAP machine, etc. etc. they told the new people coming in but did not let the current guests know . They have a coffee area with pods, and If u wiggle the wire to the outlet, the light comes on so u can see . Yeah little trick, you're welcome . Long story short, I did not shower, and I used as little as possible. The really SAD thing is, it APPEARS like it's perfect and beautiful- until U get IN THERE. Like I said, the general staff is absolutely amazing. Very understanding and apologetic, which helps when you're NOT happy. THEN we get to the GM.... He didn't want to hear about any issues, as my mother is speaking to him, trying to explain some of the dangerous electrical issues... He said things like "what do you want me to do About it"- "You're invading my personal space" and Had absolutely NO idea how to diffuse my mom, which is pretty easy if u know what ur doing. He made arrogant comments that made him look like he was too good to check out what the issues were... Etc. It's super EZ dude..... LISTEN to the complaint, take responsibility, APOLOGIZE (not hard), and don't act like you're "TOO good" or important to check things out YOURSELF. I could just go ON and ON- but let's leave off on a positive note . The rooms are very large (king suite anyway). They have a great deck to sit out and look into the wilderness. The fireplace is beautiful and your amenities are awesome. ( which everyone PAYS for on ur bill whether u use them or not- FYI). Staff was very accommodating when my mom got locked out of her room 3+ times, but you definitely need to do something about your general manager. You guys have done a really good job at keeping the oceanfront side where the spa, restaurants, etc. are at... But you really really need to focus on your rooms now and make sure your staff is cleaning those filthy rooms. I guess pictures are worth 1000 words and I have so many That I'm not sure they will all fit, but I will at least try. Thanks SALISHAN- Please get your facility back to the way it used to be with a good reputation because as it stands right now, your reputation is quickly going downhill...... unfortunately. If you knew nothing about the property in advance except what you see on the website, you'll feel misled. The grounds are reminiscent of an older apartment complex, where you drive from the lobby building to your duplex-style room with all of your belongings (be mindful of this when checking in so you don't haul your luggage for no reason). No air conditioning, rooms smelled musty and need updating, you have to request housekeeping (and we had found trash laying on the floor when we walked in), no ocean views or good beach access. The entire resort lost power for half a day and the hotel didn't offer any consideration to us about this. The spa was beautiful, but you have to book a treatment (and drive across the highway) to utilize it. I was disappointed that the facial I overpaid for was very rushed and involved a sheet mask being put on my face which I could do at home. Overall, it's fine but it's just not worth the money here in my opinion. I'm surprised it's still regarded as a 4 star hotel. read more

Very nice stay, our first at Salishan. We stayed in a Premier Room and were very comfortable. We ate at both The Attic and Provisions Marketplace it was so refreshing to have (pesca-) vegetarian, gluten free options. Yay! We could hear our neighbors and traffic -as you do at any coast hotel - but the noise was minimal a fan in the room drowned it out. There was a water filter in the lobby so we could refill our bottles throughout the day, or guests can use a jar the hotel provides for the purpose as part of their sustainability practice (in place of wasteful plastic bottled water). So nice to not have to wasteful little plastic bottles of toiletries b/c everything was a bulk/refillable. We brought wine, stored it in the in room fridge and the lobby was happy to have wine glasses delivered to our room. I needed extra washcloths for dry eye compresses, and they were happy to deliver them. It was surprising how it didn't smell like a coast hotel at all! Very clean, very comfy with amazing landscaping. read more

We came down to the Oregon coast from the Seattle area to celebrate our 5th anniversary. The hotel itself was nice, was it worth the price? Not really. The rooms were basic and could use some updating. We were charged a fee for "amenities" which we didn't use. The only free amenities were the pool and pickleball courts. The spa wasn't on the property. There was zero direction on how to get to the private beach that was on the map given to us at the front desk. Our "water view" was a peek a boo view at best, but it was more like a greenbelt view. The room has awesome natural lighting however 2 of the 3 windows faced the parking lot so we kept the curtains closed for privacy. The water pressure in the shower was sad, and the temperature barely got above luke warm, I've had better showers at the hospital. If you're a golfer it might be worth it but be aware that golf is not free nor do you get a discount as a guest. It was a decent hotel and we felt safe however we do not feel it was worth the price we paid and likely will not be returning next time we are down in the Oregon coast. read more

What a gorgeous property, Salishan is. We lucked out with beautiful weather while staying at the lodge for several days so really got the opportunity to enjoy its amenities and beautiful grounds. The room we stayed in is the executive suite, which is a 2,000sq ft space offering spacious dining, 2 full bathrooms, a large sitting room with Murphy bed, fireplace, furniture and balcony that overlooks the coast. The hotel is NOT on the beach as implied so our beach view is from up the hill without beach access. The suite has Modern bathrooms with whirlpool spa and spa toiletries that smell amazing. Not very impressed with the outdated furniture- the king Bed was sinking in so we laughed about being princess and the pea. Food on property is excellent. We had the opportunity to try a lot of what they offered, having stayed for several days, and for the most part it was all well above common hotel food. Fresh, organic and high quality ingredients were apparent. Impressive wine pairings, tastings and lists. The Bay House restaurant is a 4 star AAA rated location. The aerial adventure of park took us in the trees- 75ft up at some points which was absolutely terrifying and exhilarating at the same time. Loved the Pool and spa. Fireplaces and warm atmosphere throughout property was very inviting. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return if they invest in comfier beds :) read more

A solid 3 for location & ambiance but the sub-par food, the lack of air conditioning & amenities such as no robes, no room service or toiletries make me only give it 3 stars, especially for the price you're paying. It's in a great spot surrounded by gorgeous trees & you're able to explore and walk the entire grounds. Across the street are some shops & where their day spa is located. There is also a private path to the beach but it's actually quite a trek so you better not forget anything or you're screwed. Overall, it would have been a much more enjoyable experience if they had AC since I was there on a particularly hot weekend. They had a fan but all it did was blow around hot, swampy air. A cool destination to check out, it just needs some upgrades. read more

Really enjoyed Salishan. Loved the room. Loved the view. Enjoyed the service and staff. The surroundings were wonderfully wild and beautiful. The beach and shop access was easy. Free bike rentals were nice. Stayed in the Sandpiper #234 Only had three issues: 1. Pillar of any stay issues: The bed's were worse than you would find in a seedy flop house in Vegas next to the Church of Elvis. The bed had a permanent dip/sway on both sides from the hundreds of people who had slept on this bed that was being used way past it's useful life. (same for the lifeless flat "pillows") A single individual sleeping alone could not physically sleep in the middle of the bed due to the pronounced "hump" in the middle of the two dips on each side. My guess is they have never ever flipped and turned the mattresses to prevent this. (...or they are VERY old mattresses) Sleeping in this bed was similar to the feeling of being sucked into to a hole with your butt leading the way. I had dreams I was being sucked into the mouth of the Sarlacc (which resides in the sandy well known as the Great Pit of Carkoon as seen in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi) When the reality is that the guest spends 1/3 to 1/2 of their day at the resort IN BED sleeping/watching TV/Reading etc...that is a key area a top notch resort should always address effectively so that it does not overshadow the entirety of the visit. 2. Condiment issues: (The funny one) I got some coffee from the check in counter and next to the check in counter was a coffee counter with creamer, sugar, stir stix, etc. and a bowl next to them of the little type of hard cookie that you dip in your coffee. I tried one of the cookies and dipped it in my coffee, ate it and it tasted terrible. I looked at the other one in my hand and discovered it was a doggie biscuit I had chowed down on. I don't think it is a good idea to have free dog food sitting in the area where the free human food is and to not even bother to label the bowl or anything. Probably a health code violation would be my guess? At the least, get better tasting dog biscuits. I honestly felt sorry for the dogs. Those things were foul. 3. Safety issues: The bikes that we rode needed some serious maintenance. My son's was downright dangerous. The hand brakes would not stop the mountain bike style bikes effectively on a downhill grade. Nice bikes, just well used and in need of some work. ("attention risk management...") 4. Ambience issues: The lady below us on the first floor #136 had a little dog that she left in her room all day long that barked approximately 1 timer per second for about 6 hours straight (21, 600 times if one was to count) until she returned. I don't necessarily hold it against Salishan as much as I do the entitled dog "owner" but maybe pet owning guest could be segregated to certain of the complexes so the rest of us can take a nap in our complex while we are on vacation? (we were the only two guest in the entire sandpiper complex as it was mid week...so not like they were booked up or anything) Otherwise we had a great time. Just didn't sleep/nap to well. read more

Update: So I will clarify, they do offer free cruiser bikes, but they had only 1 cruiser available when I was there with a party of 3, and 20 Mt. Bikes available for a $25 rental fee. So we would NOT be able to take advantage of the complimentary bicycles and were told by the front desk we would need to pay! The rooms and amenities are great. The food is mid. Had the burger, Mediterranean pizza, and the chicken bowl. The burger was so bland. Tiny little patty and no flavor. Not worth the price they charged. The Mediterranean pizza on cauliflower crust was also extremely bland. The crust was crisp, but the toppings weren't cooked and the cheese wasn't completely melted. Disappointed for over $20. The chicken bowl was great though. We had the Mezze platter at the lounge. It was ok. The fries though, were VERY good!!Way over priced though. $24!!! They have some cool things to do like a ropes course, mountain bikes and spa. All of those are an extra charge. $100/person on the ropes and $25/ 2hrs for the bike. Beautiful location though!!! Have fire pits and corn hole boards. But we're missing bean bags for one of the sets. Overall it was beautiful. The room was nice and clean. The pool was clean and warm, but the hot tub not so much... overall I would go again but plan for different places to eat. read more

We took a girls trip to this Lodge. The employees are very friendly and stayed in a 3bd and 3bath suite. We spent time at the beach near the Lodge and a spa day. This place is so clean and a had a great experience. I would definitely come back again. read more

I hadn't been to Salishan in years and I was pleasantly surprised with the condition of the place. Rooms were spacious with good beds, comfortable pillows and a fireplace! But the best part was the wonderful receptionist at the front desk , Caitlin. she was so kind and professional and solved an issue for us that was "above and beyond " service. just for reference, i stayed in a different hotel every night for 130 days out of each year for 15 years as my job required. I haven't been treated this nicely at a hotel in a very long time. read more

Recently visited from Hawaii. Decided to stay here because we are originally from Oregon. Wonderful stay, room was large, rustic, cozy and had the perfect PNW feel. Golf was fantastic, Hotel staff great, the restaurant was amazing. I had a question on card authorization and the General Manager Robert Ratchford as well as Director of Golf Tom Graves did everything they could to resolve quickly and answer any questions. Very much appreciated the level of customer service and timely response I received from them. I highly reccomend staying here. The place is gorgeous, great food and great golf! read more

The bed had a weird mattress pad on it. I sank into it causing a divet everywhere I sat or laid. Mind you I only weigh 120 pounds. The room was much smaller than the photo and the room had a view of the highway. I would have liked a room with a nicer view. The hot tub was broken which was very disappointing. It seems to be a theme for most hotels in the wintertime. it takes the sauna a good 30 minutes to heat up. The food was ok. Several days before Christmas I began asking the restaurant staff what was on the menu for Christmas dinner. No one knew or bothered to find out. I arrived for dinner which was Prime rib, mashed potatoes, and a small portion of carrots for $45.00. I mentioned to the manager, and she was surprised no one could give me an answer. I was expecting more. The staff were very courteous. This just was not my style. read more

I had an amazing half day using the Fitness Day Pass. Worked out, showered, sauna, showered, hot tub spa, showered, pool (repeat). Facilities were all excellent and clean. All in one area with lockers and a comfortable sitting area by the pool. The hotel lobby is beautiful too! read more

My best friend and I just got back from our girls trip. We spent two nights, three days. The positive: The staff is excellent. Couldn't ask for a better experience. They were welcoming and always willing to help. The staff gets five stars. The negative: I want to say firstly, that they seem to be trying hard to remodel, and the new decor was beautiful. It was right down my ally. My problem was in our bathroom, the sink had a large Crack in it. We went to use the hot tub, and the women's bathroom sink wasn't working right. It was like a puzzle trying to shut it off. The same with the shower in our room. These are little things that make a difference. Especially, being an " upper" resort. I fully understand that this is a rustic environment, which was what we wanted. I just think that the basics, such as faucets working, , sinks not being cracked, should work. Overall, 5 stars for the staff. They were terrific. 2 stars for the accommodations. read more

We stayed here for two nights this past weekend for the first time. We had a king premier forest view room. Everything is very outdated from the decor to the furniture. The view and the fireplace were nice but that was really about it. There was a microwave and mini fridge in the room. The bed was hard as a rock and barely had any blankets on it. The Attic restaurant on site wasn't great, and we had room service breakfast the next morning from the other restaurant choice and it was OK but for $60 for a burrito, French toast and a smoothie, no thank you. I'd say most people have dogs as well so be prepared to hear barking. No robes or extra blankets in the room. For $900 for two nights this was definitely not worth it, unfortunately we won't be returning. Pros: pretty view Quiet/peaceful setting Large room Cons: Everything is old and outdated Uncomfortable bed Expensive for what you get On-site restaurants not great read more

This is my first trip to Oregon and I landed at this resort for $100 a night in its off season. I do not think it's worth more than that, notably because the rooms do not get daily maid service, the water pressure is crap, and the Internet is just okay. Also Salishan, the leaf blowers in midday while I'm sure are necessary, maybe you could find something a little less abrasive, holy moly. I want to clear those negatives out because most everything else here is great. The room itself is quite lovely, setting is beautiful, and the staff is very nice for what little I've interacted with them. The grounds sport an indoor pool and jacuzzi, small gym (missing what looks to me some notable equipment for back exercises and triceps), tennis court and golf course. Bicycles are "free to rent for guests from sunrise to sunset" or so the pitch went at the desk; I never used them though. I love the outdoor fireplaces and forest vibes. I am visiting from San Francisco, often lauded as perhaps the country's most expensive place to live, and boy, could Salishan's spa give us a run for our money, literally. Unless you're getting a foot massage, full-body massages and wraps run from about $145-$255. I do actually think we're a touch higher in SF but *only* a touch. I could see how this whole place was probably pretty luxurious in 1980-2000 but the whole thing could probably use a bit of a face-lift nowadays. Don't lose the mountain cabin sort of vibes, but also make everything a little less stale and more concierge feeling. For $100 a night I'd definitely return in its off season though. As I said, the whole experience has been really calming and rejuvenating, and lovely. read more
