Where to start! First I called ahead and got a lovely person who helped me navigate the best room for my specific disability. They accommodated my request to help with my stay, and the person at the front desk even remembered me when I checked in! They have a covered parking area which I very much appreciated in the rain. The lobby is clean and has a modern but welcoming vibe. I LOVED my room. I booked the Nautica suite and it was so lovely. The very large jetted tub overlooking the ocean was breathtaking. The room has a mini-fridge and a microwave. They have a great little sink for filling big water bottles, making tea, etc. no trying to fill the coffee pot in the bathroom sink. The room was also impeccably clean. Rooms that aren't fully cleaned can really put me off about a place. Not here. They seem to have high standards for everything they do here-- and everyone they hire. A gentleman who was from housekeeping even walked me to the elevator when I got turned around as I went to check out. He noticed my hands were full and hit the button for the lobby for me. As I was writing this review, I got a phone call. I had forgotten my favorite lunch box in the fridge! I hadn't gotten terribly far, so I still have time to go back. If you're on the fence, book it. One more neat thing: I got a way better rate booking directly with Starfish Manor. It shocked me, but it bears mentioning. I almost always use Expedia, but while I was looking for more room info on booking, I was delighted to find this. I will 100% be back. I recommend this highly. Ugh - they tour as "luxurious" - maybe they need to look that word up, bc NOT a four star luxury. We booked thru Hotels Tonite for a deal (dont do that at this venue for sure!!). They pictured a beautiful suite overlooking the ocean - we got an adu room that looked onto a brown building a few feet away! Seriously?? We went for some romance and this was a huge disappointment bc we planned to look at the ocean. False advertising on Hotel Tonite's part!!! The remodel of this old property is ok. Our room dod have a big jaccuzi tub next to window (that we could barely see out of) not just moisture but actually dirty. A peek-a-boo view of ocean there. Got settled in and ready for movie. TV remote didn't work. hubs had to go downstairs and get new ones. Then upon return and got it on - it was completely ?? unprogrammed! "no channels" screen showing. No way to even see them. No button to see to find? how to reset. After a phone call downstairs they didnt know how to fix it. Said they would see if maintenance was still there at 8pm... Fortunately my man saw there is a little string??? coming from behind tv!! You had to pull it??? to get to the hdmi settings - then figure out which one was correct!! Sheesh. Bed was hard. No body lotion. No kleenix. (what hotel doesnt have kleenix???) Needless to say will never go here again!! It is pictured online like some kind of Salishan Resort. It SO isnt!!! And tho beach is below - really steep LONG long stairway to get up and down. Huge disappointment all the way around. DO NOT STAY! As educated consumers, my spouse and I know exactly what constitutes reasonable business practices and standard hospitality. Our experience at Starfish Manor Hotel fell shockingly short of basic decency. We checked in on Friday, July 3rd, and returned at 10:30 PM to find the bathroom and shower covered in hair. With no other rooms available, the front desk agent (Stacy) refused to call housekeeping and offered zero solutions. I was forced to ask for cleaning supplies myself. She delivered rags, a spray bottle, and a nearly empty roll of paper towels. As healthcare professionals who understand basic hygiene standards, we had to clean someone else's hair out of our own hotel bathroom just to use the shower safely. Stacy promised housekeeping would handle it first thing Saturday morning (7/4). Instead, we returned at 11:00 PM to find the bathroom completely untouched. Once again, we had to disinfect it ourselves late at night. The worst part of this stay was the management's appalling response at checkout on 7/5: 1- Gavin read the notes, brushed us off, and offered a measly 20% credit for making guests do manual labor on their vacation. He then ignored us to talk to the Assistant Manager, Jaime. 2 -Jaime took over with zero apologies. Instead of taking accountability, she claimed it was our responsibility to follow up on their broken promise. 3- She insultingly suggested the bathroom "must not have been that dirty" since we stayed, and told us we simply could have gone to another hotel--completely ignoring the reality that it was a busy, sold-out 4th of July holiday weekend and finding another room at 11:00 PM was impossible. She then stated they would have only "helped us clean" the second night. Guests should never be expected to "help" clean a room they paid for. 4- Jaime ended the interaction by defiantly telling us to "do whatever we want" because she wasn't doing anything else for us. I noticed a sign in the lobby warning about a "zero-tolerance policy for aggressive customers." After experiencing their defensive, gaslighting, and entirely unapologetic management style, it is clear that what they label as "aggression" is actually just paying customers expressing justifiable frustration at an utter lack of common sense and basic cleanliness. ***** The management completely blames the consumer for their own operational and cleanliness failures. read more

Title: Unsafe, Unclean Room and Dismissive Staff Unfortunately, this was one of the most concerning hotel experiences we have had. The gas fireplace did not appear to function normally. Only a tiny pilot flame was visible, but it continuously produced heat, and the room developed a strong gas-like odor. Both of us experienced headaches and severe nausea. We had to leave the exterior door open throughout the stay just to tolerate being in the room, and our symptoms began improving after we left. We reported the odor, fireplace, and physical symptoms to the front desk multiple times. Instead of arranging an inspection or taking precautions, staff repeatedly told us, "That's just how it is," and dismissed the concern. Because the hotel did not take the potential hazard seriously, we contacted the local fire department after leaving. Cleanliness was another major problem. The Jacuzzi was visibly dirty, and the bedding had obvious dirt and stains. When I returned to collect our remaining belongings while housekeeping was cleaning, I witnessed the same dirty, stained bedding being used to remake the bed rather than being replaced. Before the 11 a.m. checkout time, we stepped outside for less than two minutes to place belongings in our vehicle. Housekeeping entered our occupied room and allowed our service dogs to get outside, putting them at risk of becoming lost, injured, or hit by a vehicle. This was far beyond a minor inconvenience. The room was not acceptably clean, our safety concerns were dismissed, and our service animals were endangered. We had a very disappointing experience with Starfish Manor last week. We paid $400 per night for the exclusive Beach House, a separate beachfront house owned by Starfish, right next door. Unfortunately, they have NO CURTAINS on the bedroom windows facing the hotel itself...just "light filtering" shades. At midnight, all the lights from the hotel glowed into both bedrooms...bright enough to read a book! The hotel's "solution": they handed us blankets to tack up ourselves--nobody was available to help us. We ended up buying black trash bags to tape up as well as our own "blackout" solution. When we complained to management, asking for some discount or credit for the poor quality of the room, they gaslighted us by saying they had provided "blackout solutions" to us. HA! They said they had offered to move us to another room that night....to a room down three flights of outdoor stairs at midnight, which we couldn't do because of our disability. A complaint to their corporate owner/management also has been ignored. Also, the kitchen was the worst-stocked one we have ever stayed in. I booked a girls weekend getaway for a belated birthday gift for a friend, actually I booked their neighbor hotel (beach front manor) but there was some maintenance problem with the room I booked so they moved us to the starfish manor. I loved the hotel room it was cozy with beautiful beach decor above the beds, also had a cute little electric fireplace heater to keep you warm at night. The beach access is super close and easy to access by foot, but it is by stairs at the neighboring hotel. There is lots of parking from right in front of the hotel to the little parking structor in between the 2 hotels, they do have some EV chargers for electric vehicles. The staff is wonderful at the front desk to check in/out and help with any other needs. Close enough to downtown & other surrounding area's to check out. A wonderful place to stay for any occasion, even if you don't get a beach front room. read more

Ok so the wife and I wanted to get away since I was on vacation last week. We got a pretty good deal to stay at starfish manor.Look at Groupon for any stays at the coast there is always a special. A little nugget for yall. However back to the stay the room was nice. But we ran into a interesting situation we could not figure out how to use the fireplace . We could not find any directions or book that told us how to turn on the fire place. We called the front desk from the room phone and the call never went through. It was as if the call can't go thru. We called several times and no luck. We finally had to call from our cell phone to the front desk and they answered. The front desk attendant said I am the only one here and not sure why the phone is not working. This appeared a little strange what does that mean.She explained how to turn on the fireplace which was helpful. Normally at another local hotel we would always find a binder with how to use the fire place wifi name and local restaurants and front desk for help. For the amount of money we paid this is strange they have a phone issue thank God it was not an emergency. Apparently they don't have room service anymore I guess since the Covid era. Well that's what we were told. So we had to ask the front desk for clean towels because we stayed two nights . The next we were on the 3 rd floor and whoever was above us was stomping as they walked all hours of the night and daytime. I did not bother telling the front desk since they did not appear helpful. Oh forgot one other thing I opened the fridgeto place some items in the fridge and observed it leaking. We notified the front desk and they really had no explanation as to why but they offered to move us to the 1st floor but was told they were installing a water heater and the construction company would be making a lot of noise. Then the attendant suggest a small discount on the room for the inconvenience. My wife went to move a can drink and the tray fell that was full of water from the freezer defrosting and soaked the floor in front of the fridge.This is not acceptable service for an adults only get away hotel . Will I recommend this place ummmmm No .We thought giving them another try after several years not staying because we were charge $600.00 for a room. Totally ridiculous price gauging. With the problems we had. Not worth it there are plenty other hotels with better amenities and positive experiences. Such as the COHO , Pelican Shores etc. I just cannot fathom how this is allowed. I overheard another person was explaining there poor experience to the front attendant and they just brushed him off and he left. We were kicked out for having a service animal within 10 minutes of check in. There had been no barking or other issues, only that we had already called in hopes that the fireplace would work. Instead of even considering our request, they gave us an hour to leave. Both this and last time, the fireplace in room did not work. It lit up partially but seemed to have some issues and major burning on the glass. Beyond that, the room was dirty. Standing water in the tub, dirty jets, and stains on the sofa This place is dilapidated, gross, and completely unwilling to make anything right, including at the expense of a repeat guest. Sent as email on 12.11 to both Starfish Manor, AND Pacifica Host - no response as of 9p, 12.12.25 I was in #205/Pacific Suite, from Mon 12.08-Wed 12.10. Adding that we had a room (#212) previously(12.07-12.08), which also had a few issues... I'd suggest checking the shower heads & curtain..the curtain wouldn't stay put and caused water spraying out onto our clothes. We could not take any showers, without the potential of water damage. The main door was also VERY hard to open/latch. While in RM #205, I had taken a shower and noticed a few things in the bathroom. 1) the footrest/thing in the shower - as soon as I rested my foot on it, the black paint on the bar(steel?) began crumbling off. There is no possible way that my 1 shower caused this - maybe check what paint is being used? Not a great feeling to immediately set a foot down and have a slipping surface due to paint peels. The photos will show the different peeling placements that took place, aka - it kept moving. 2) red paint(hopefully not blood or polish?) on the shower floor 3) on the shelves next to the shower, there was a sticky item, similar to a bandage wrapper, with residue of...something... 4) fake/press on nail next to the toilet/trash can. *my nails shown* *additionally, the hot tub had a plastic film/bubble cover, not the traditional heavy, thick one. We checked in around 11:30-12p, with a hot tub temp around 100°. HOWEVER - the temp at 12p being 100°, makes it VERY hard to believe a thorough cleaning took place from my #212 checkout around 10:00a, to the availability at 11:12a(phone call) would even be at 100°... Adding flyers at the front desk stating hot water is replaced every visit and to expect a longer wait for proper 104° heating. Truly, I appreciate the kind gesture of getting our room ready sooner than 4p check in. I'd still just like to note these things. Especially, as a nod to a more thorough cleaning. I am in zero intention to be "picky"! It's my bday getaway & these little things sting a bit towards relaxation. On top of the fireplace not working and shotty tv + WiFi. I've stayed in the past - the Bella suite was my favorite. It's just me and my boyfriend; but I book the multi-room suites, due to the extra space of a kitchen and hot tub. This time was very disappointing. I don't know that I plan to return. I still, genuinely appreciate the quickness to have our room ready - although it was definitely not cleaned thoroughly; I've never had any problems otherwise. The hard beds are the least of your problems at this place. The first "handicapped" room they put us in, you could not see the tv while in bed yet all there was to sit in was a small bistro table. The space between the bed and the wall was like maybe a foot wide and my husband who has one leg had to try to hop to get in. We asked to be moved. The night clerk was so nice and moved us to a bigger room. However, at 9:40 am the pounding started and didn't stop. We asked for ANOTHER room and she was snotty and said we had to pay a housekeeping fee if we moved. It was not our fault we couldn't take the constant pounding. We will never stay here again. It used to be a boutique motel and was so wonderful to stay there. Not anymore. They have stripped all the niceties out of their rooms! For $200 a night I did not expect the side table to the bed to fall off the wall in the middle of the night or the curtain rod to rip out of the wall or the toilet to wobble when you sat on or got off it. When I told the front desk Jamie did offer to put us in another room for our last night there, we declined. On the day of checkout, the construction worker (as they are remodeling) tried to enter our room without knocking (he got quite a surprise) they are also letting the construction workers take the covered parking and expecting the paying guests to park and walk in the rain. This will never be my first choice in Lincoln City. We came to beat the 104 deg temperature in Portland. Found that our room did not have A/C. The bathroom tp holder was broken. The toilet overflowed with only number one. No shampoo but two conditioner. Our ice cream melted in the freezer. You can get so much more in Lincoln City for the price. read more

We were looking forward to our one-night stay here, but it didn't really shape up as we hoped. Before I state our difficulties, I'll say, the customer service was good. We booked through Booking.com. the hotel responded via email to our special--we requested a top floor room (to avoid noise from above). When we got to our room the windy day was causing tremendous noise (banging) in our room. We mentioned it at the front desk and when we returned from dinner the clerk said she was waiting to tell us she'd like to move us to another room, which she did. The new room was quiet, so, good on that front. However, there was no blackout curtain on the window (though there was one on the sliding door). Mind you the room faces west and it doesn't get totally dark until about 10p. Bright sun in our eyes all evening! The 'clear' plastic balcony was anything but clear, so sitting out to enjoy the view wasn't really an option. Couldn't see over it and couldn't see through it. Water from the shower drained out onto the bathroom floor because the shower pan ledge was not sloped properly and it flowed outside instead of inside. Okay, that's my take, and honestly, for the price I'm not excited to return. Even for a lower price I would expect the basics though. Oh, and no Kleenex in the room. read more

I am not a fan of this place. My wife and I went there for our 20 year anniversary and didn't really in joy our stay. If you have other options I would recommend you take them. We stayed there for five days and they have a police that they do not have housekeeping which I'm not a fan of. The room was not in good condition. The fireplace didn't work and the paint on the wall was coming off. Overall the customer service was lackluster. When I got there the front desk acted like we were inconveniencing them by being there. There are a lot of other hotels in the area. I'd recommend trying to find a different one. read more

Upon arrival we were several hours early and the woman behind the counter on 7/13 between 12pm and 1pm was obviously annoyed that we were early and told us we were not allowed to check in until 4pm. Once we got to our room we were immediately pleased with our romance package that was set up prior to arrival! :) During our room walk we noticed one chair was broken, so we called the front desk and they brought 2 new chairs promptly, appreciated! Okay, on 7/14/25 I took a shower, during my shower, the shampoo was VERY low. As I pumped the container a glob shot out and into my left eye (on my birthday) fml! #shorty problems. Make sure your shower containers are full! We tried to utilize the gas fire place however we couldn't figure out how to get it to work, so I called the front desk and she told me it was through the thermostat by increasing the temperature by 5° over the room's current temperature which is displayed on the left side of the thermostat in a large font. We realized that we could smell gas in our room and that the pilot light was out at this point we had given up and decided not to call the front desk again. Upon checking out around 8:30ish on 7/15/25 the lady and the front desk was kind. Highly recommend using a credit card for incidental holds as we received three separate $75 holds over our two night stay. read more

This is the most uncomfortable hotel I've stayed in in a very long time. I guess I was expecting luxury, and it was far from it. The beds and furnishings were terribly cheap and uncomfortable. The clear (plastic like?) material used to block in the deck is scratched up and dirty, so the view of the ocean from the deck is obstructed. The hot tub was ok, but totally not worth the price. Upon arrival, I parked in a white-marked parking spot without any vehicles nearby. Throughout the evening, three cars parked in the fire zone; the middle one was then blocked in. Instead of towing the cars in the fire lane, they towed my vehicle without notice. The next day, they painted over the lines of the parking spot and put cones in the fire lane. Management refused to pay the $630.00 tow fee, and the hotel has a business affiliation with the tow company that was a five-mile walk away. They also would not compensate for the room and a missed work day. I had to stay again to withdraw cash to pay the tow. Management stated that it looked like an old, faded parking place, which, upon arrival, looked like all of the other white parking lines. It's a beautiful view and room. However, the Manager is very dishonest; Irresponsible management and organizational immaturity are the problems here. read more

$250 a night for four pillows in an oceanfront room. Excuse was pillows are on back order since January. Seriously it's June 15th? Find another supplier. I have had both hips replaced, And need more than two pillows. I bought some in town...and borrowed pillow cases so I could sleep. This morning I go down to see where I can walk out to the beach in front of our room, the oceanfront we paid for. Nope. You can walk out through the parking lot up a parking ramp to the resort next door to get there. Girl was rude and dismissive, walked off. Two more days here and the rest of our grand we committed to. Oh joy. The dining and fitness are already closed for renovations supposedly although haven't seen any work trucks. And there was a lot of noise and doors slamming late into the night even though we were at the end of the hall. Again. The TV is a slow performer and there are no snack or soda vending machines - for last minute impulses. The hallways don't smell, everything is wide and appealing. We've been wanting to stay at Starfish for years and finally got the chance to get away this year for our anniversary. Yes, this place is on the high end of the price scale and it isn't located directly on the beach sand, but it has an amazing view and the tubs are awesome. We stayed in a sunset room on the 2nd floor with an ocean view jetted tub and balcony. The room was clean, comfy and very nice. I love that we were given 4 pillows on the bed! A lot of the hotels we stay in only offer 2 and it's like asking for a kidney donation to get additional pillows! We filled the tub and added in our rubber duckies, sat on the balcony and watched a marriage proposal on the beach below, & even lounged in the bed and watched tv. The perfect relaxing get away! The hotel was surprisingly quiet, not allowing small kids might help with this. We said hello to a balcony neighbor above us a couple of times but never heard anyone stomping around or even slamming doors. We were happy that we chose the jetted tub room instead of the balcony hot tub room only because we liked the privacy of still being inside our room instead of out in the open on the balcony. Unfortunately our fireplace never did fully light. We did turn up the thermostat at night and the fireplace did push out heat to warm the room but it never fully lit the actual fire. We had a nice counter space for all our snacks, with a sink, and small fridge for all of our drinks. We even enjoyed the complimentary waters and the chocolates left on the pillows. The tub, room, bed, and bathroom all appeared to be clean. We had no complaints about the housekeeping. Due to covid there's no maintainer cleaning when staying for multiple days. We didn't mind this at all since we generally ask not to be disturbed or for housekeeping to clean unless we stay somewhere for more than 2-3 days. The lobby staff was very friendly and efficient getting us checked in and directing us to our room. There's a small parking garage that accommodates all sides of the hotel. We loved that it was located right near the main roads and the casino but far enough back that the traffic didn't travel right outside to be heard. This has been my wife and I's coastal getaway for over 15 years, since it was a small boutique, with green sheets on the beds. The jetted tubs with an ocean view kept us coming back. I must say our last trip may have finally driven us away for good. The building decline may just simply be due to the fact they added on and now the upkeep is too much of a chore for the staff. The paint is peeling, the floors and bathrooms dirty, caulking around tubs and toilets looks like a kid did it. The landscaping is in decline. We were told our room had an ocean view, but the shrubs on the first floor are overgrown and you only get a peek a boo of the ocean. The amenities have declined immensely. The rooms are stocked with the cheapest coffee maker you could find. When you attempt to pour it, it spills all over the counter. I had to go ask for wine glasses and a wine key at the front desk, they are not stocked in the rooms. No more rose petals or lindor chocolates on the pillows. What a disappointment. The sink in the room was plugged with a stopper, which tells me the cleaners probably washed the coffee cups in the sink. They are not ran through a dishwasher. Things are getting old and run down. I'm sad to say it, but it definitely affected our romantic relaxing trip. read more

Im not sorry for posting this, I spent a month trying to get ahold of Mindie and told them I would restrain from leaving a review and try and work this out directly with them. Paul acted prejudicial behavior toward myself and threatened to call the cops after he called our room in the middle of the night alleging reports of screaming and doors slamming. The only problem is he called the wrong room. No apology from him. Our first stay there was great, we were excited to stay there again. You want the play by play then read the rest. My wife and I booked a stay with this hotel for three nights starting, checking in 1/2/25 and checking out on the 1/5/25. We got a room on the 2nd floor on the south end of the building. At approximately 150am on January 6th the hotel room phone started ringing. It woke me up and I rolled over and answered it. The person at the front desk said there were multiple reports of screaming and doors slamming coming from our room. My wife and I were both in bed and the TV was off and neither of us heard any commotion or sounds around us. I put on a pair of shorts and shoes and went down to the front desk immediately to find out more of what was going on as we have stayed in hotels before (lincoln city January 2022) where fights have broken out in the hotel requiring paramedics in the middle of the night. To get to the front desk I had to walk north along the hallway to the main elevator and go down a floor. Upon exiting the elevator I could see the front desk employee (later I found out his name is Paul, and I have had previous pleasant interactions with him on another trip), I said to him, "you called?". He replied that there were multiple reports of screaming and doors slamming coming from our room, I told him that this was improbable as both my wife and I were in bed and suggested some of the noise could have been from our sliding glass door and that this was our third night there and there had been no noise. He responded that I was probably aware of another domestic incident but I told him I was not. He proceeded to say "ive dealt with your type before, you think you can come down here with your chest puffed out? Your a bully", He proceeded to pick up the phone and threaten to call the police if I didnt return to our room, I hesitated but he angrily said, "Now", as I walked away he picked up the phone and said something about let him know if there were any further noise complaints. When I got back to our room I discussed this with my wife and we both agreed none of this made sense. She decide to go down to the front desk for herself and see what was going on. She said that Paul was standing in front of the lobby counter and saw her get off the elevator, she mentioned that I had come down to see what was going on. Things started to escalate between Paul and my wife and he said they didnt need a incident and she told him that he was the one creating it. She left and returned to the room as well. We both spent the night on eggshells not sure what was going to happen next. The next morning we checked out and I explained the incident to the front desk and they said that they have two rooms with the same number as there are two separate buildings on the property. Paul had called our room by mistake and they posted a $50 credit on our account. My wife and I agreed on our trip home that this was unacceptable and initially contacted the hotel on January 6th and received a call from Mindie on January 7th, we discussed the incident and she said Paul worked weekends and she would need to talk to him first, I clarified that I would expect to hear from here the following week but didnt. I called again on January 16th, asking for Mindie and being prompted to leave a voicemail for Mindie and most recently on January 27th being prompted to leave a voicemail again. This time however I told the front desk that we were not getting our calls returned and the attendant said she would make a note and deliver it to her personally. We have never left a negative review or demanded anything from the hotel. No one ever verified in these encounters which room we were staying in. As a small business owner who is also a Navy veteran I believe that Paul acted with a prejudicial attitude and discriminated against us. read more

The staff were all amazing. So friendly and accommodating. I don't understand the reviews that say anyone was rude as that was not my experience. The room was beautiful and they honored every request I made. This property is right on the beach and is older so, was it perfect? No. Dirt, sand, sea water gets in to the nooks and crannies. But was the bed comfortable, clean, fireplace in working order as well as the dual head shower, jacuzzi tub and Kitchen? Absolutely! I look forward to my next visit! read more

It's a shame, because this place COULD be five stars. It has a lot going for it, but unfortunately it has just as many negatives. I should state that we have stayed here twice, and this review covers both visits. Firstly, the location is great, the rooms are overall comfortable, and obviously the hot tub is a huge perk. Check-in and out is quick and seamless, the two-headed shower is really cool, and you're right down the street from one of the best restaurants in LC, Blackfish Cafe. The issues begin small, but they are definitely there. The bathroom had an odd smell to it. There's no other way to say it; it smelled like farts. And while that is not unusual in a bathroom, this was before anyone had even used it. I'm pretty sure it was something in the pipes. Also the floor of the shower was a mess, warped and cracked. It was the kind of thing you'd expect at a truck stop, not a fairly pricey hotel. These problems are irksome, but not deal-breaking. For us, the major issue, and the reason we won't be back a third time, is the customer service. It absolutely felt like a situation where, once you're checked in, their attitude is "Well, we have your money now, so you're on your own". On our first trip, we had neighbors in the next room that were constantly smoking pot on their balcony. For reference, the entire property is supposedly non-smoking. You probably know that one of the great things about a beachside room is being able to leave your patio door open and enjoy the sounds and scents of the sea. Not so at the Starfish Manor. Here you get to enjoy waking up to a cloud of weed smoke filling your room. When we complained, multiple times, to the front desk, their answer was to look up our neighbors in the computer and say "Oh...well they're moving out later today." And that was it. So I guess what I'm trying to say is, if you want to smoke in your room at Starfish Manor, feel free, because they will do NOTHING to stop you. On our second trip, we went out to dinner one night. We had a hell of a time just getting our car out of their tiny parking lot (they do have a nice two-story parking garage, as well) because some idiot in a Jeep had parked in a "not really a parking spot" and was blocking an entire line of cars from backing out easily. If we'd been driving anything but a compact vehicle, we'd literally be stuck in our spot. When I called the front desk to tell them about it, their response was, and I'm not kidding, "Well...I mean I guess if someone hits them, that's on them." Really?? No, the correct answer is "We will look up which guest this is, and have them move it immediately, or we will have it towed." So an hour and a half later, we get back from dinner, Jeep is still in the exact same place. So I guess what I'm saying is, if you stay here, park literally wherever you want, because they will do NOTHING to stop you. They just don't care. You're paying Inn at Spanish Head prices, and you're getting Motel 6 service. And that's why we are done with Starfish Manor. There are way too many options in the area, and there is no way the hospitality is any worse. The bar has already been set at the lowest point. Again, I want to state, it's really too bad. This place could be great. read more

If I could give negative stars I sure would. We were there during the ice storm and they told us there was nothing they could do about the stairs we had to go up and down to access our room and get to our car. They were COVERED IN ICE yet They didn't have anything they could put on them - no way to break the ice - nothing. The blankets are paper thin and the hot tub is so small - barely big enough for one person. The worst part is I left my favorite blanket and DIAMOND EARRINGS in the room and they claim that nothing was found. I will never ever go back. read more

So booked this hotel for our anniversary. Mostly for the jetted tub. We were on the lower level and there really isn't beach access or a fire pit. The room is small and there really isn't any amenities at the hotel itself. Parking was a bit frustrating as you had to walk quite a ways in the rain. Really too far to walk anywhere but close to places if you are driving. Probably won't go back. read more

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon Mon-Thur and loved it. The room was great, very luxurious and comfortable. Everything we could have asked for. We got a king jetted tub room with a balcony and it was perfect for the two of us. Had a good sized tv. And comfy couch! And the view from the balcony was breathtaking! Loved that we could watch the sunset from our jacuzzi tub too. Highly recommend Starfish Manor and we will be back! read more

Warning to guests! Bring your own towels or linens. If you spill something (like coffee) on accident and go to clean it up with the provided washcloth you will be charged. Also ladies if you have dyed hair make sure before arriving your dye is set and doesn't get on one of their towels. We learned our lesson and got charged $45 for damages. We have never been charged for a ridiculous reason. God forbid we clean up a mess. Will not return again. Yes the rooms are stunning and clean. The view is spectacular. Just be careful cleaning up any accidents such as a coffee spill from their coffee maker. read more
