He delayed diagnostics, failed to send me to specialists within a reasonable time, falsified his notes, and wanted to wait things out to see how they improve. After demanding an MRI and demanding seeing specialists, I ended up needing significant spinal surgery to save me from living in a wheelchair. I also had injuries in other parts of my body needing surgery to fix. If I had followed Dr. McElwain's plan, I would have been paralyzed from my spinal cord deteriorating.

It took nurses over 2 hours to bring her something for pain, they didn't bathe her in 10 days. They discharged her with a drain and no plan. Absolutely atrocious. They should be ashamed of themselves. And to think it's a Catholic hospital. Needless to say, my mother ended up needing to go to the hospital AGAIN after being home a week and I took her to St Mary's instead. GO THERE!! We are so happy with the care she received. They are thorough and kind and they actually talked to her like a human being. Very, very happy with St Mary Medical Center!!

I love her laid-back personality, and she does not harp on about my health (my weight or anything like that like typical doctors do). She tries to squeeze us in if we need to see her (even when she's super busy), and she'll even prescribe something if we say we're sick (without even visiting her!) I think she's awesome!

She was on medication but only had an incident of A-fib-- 14 years earlier. Usually we would see Dr. Haaz in Jenkintown, but the Northeast office is closer for my mom, so we saw him there. She had a 1pm appt. which we were 10 minutes late, because mom couldn't walk fast from the car. It was the first time in this office location. Since we were late-- she went to the back of the medicare bus so to speak. Just as we were about to leave mom was seen by the Doctor at 4pm; do the math. We were so frustrated by the treatment, when my mom went in finally and I complained to the Dr. he denied any of it and wasn't very sympathetic to a person who could have had a heart attack just from the wait. Maybe that is what he wanted --makes more $ that way. When I questioned him on her swollen ankles he said it was her varicose veins, I said, "What"? She has had them for 30 years and her ankles are only now swollen--sorry but no relation. If I wasn't there (my mother couldn't advocate for herself) then she would have been written off sooner. Amazingly, an Echo was ordered for another day. This Dr. is terrible at prevention, you deserve better. Also, the front desk women at the Northeast Philly office are rude. Dr. needs to retire now! Seniors, you deserve better.

My wife was a challenge to diagnose. Dr Rosenberg identified her Neurological Problem...and quickly sorted through some other difficulties going above and beyond.
