I am so thrilled to be updating this review!…read more Following my initial review, I was contacted by the office manager, Justina, a truly kind person who urged me to come in and have Dr. Rydzik take a look at the scar. I was wary of returning, as, in my experience, I've found that accountability is rare to come by in medical practices (or in the world at large today!). But I can honestly say I am so glad to have been wrong in this instance. Dr. Rydzik acknowledged that an error had been made and told me that the medical assistant who had removed my stitches was receiving further training. She examined my arm and confirmed a keloid had formed due to the stitches being removed too early and she and her medical team provided me with a complimentary laser treatment to reduce the appearance of the scar, in addition to noting that, if future treatments for this scar are needed, those treatments would be complimentary as well. They were warm, reassuring, and really put me at ease. Thank you, Dr. Rydzik, Justina, and Bilkey (I'm so sorry if I'm misspelling your name) and a big thank you as well to the lovely woman who performed the laser on my arm today (so sorry, I'm forgetting your name!). I will continue to return as a patient for my dermatological needs as well as for my aesthetic needs and I will certainly recommend this office to friends, knowing that this is the kind of place where--should a mishap occur, as it can anywhere--the staff genuinely care to make it right.

Janette is really sensitive to making sure you have everything you need and she offered tea or water. It's the little things! I actually use a different location closer to home, but when my Walgreens informed me they couldn't honor my vaccine appt by hanging a note on the closed pharmacy during the day of my scheduled visit, I rescheduled my flu shot to this nearby store. Since my store's sign stated that anyone scheduled would need to stop by and be worked in during the next week, my hope was that by taking an appointment slot at this location instead, maybe I wouldn't have to stand around and wait. I was wrong. I arrived at the recommended 15 mins prior to my appointment time. There was a small line for both vaccine check-in and script pick-up. However I could see 6 employees working behind the counter, so the line moved at a decent clip. Since they weren't busy at all at this point and it was now 50 mins past my appointment time, I decided to approach the consultation window and inquire...just to be sure I hadn't been forgotten. I stood at the window in front of 3 employees for a few mins without being acknowledged. I finally just spoke up and asked for some help. The ultimate answer from the pharmacist was that I was next in line and to give them 5 minutes. About 10 minutes later I was called in for my shot. If I hadn't approached them I really don't know when I would've been seen. At that time the lines were gone, and only one other vaccine customer was waiting with me. **To be completely transparent, the employee tasked at giving my shot didn't seem at all comfortable doing it. She seemed nervous, and was very awkward holding the needle and injecting. I was also required to fill out the paperwork while waiting that I'd already completed online.** It was a hard one to understand. They appeared to have plenty of employees...granted they all seemed active, but I definitely don't think that the 1 hour and 15 minutes total time I was inside for my appointment could've possibly been necessary. I am also not one to leave reviews unless I really feel compelled to. It's been a few years, and my feelings haven't changed. My first impressions were positive. The hygienists are very kind and thorough. I don't believe they are the problem at all. However, red flags started popping up when the dentist began pushing a tooth extraction and an implant. They had noticed something on my xray that they believe indicated my tooth needed to be removed sooner rather than later, however I never experienced pain or discomfort from this tooth. They sat me down in a room with their insurance person and told me how it would go down. As someone who is under 30 and never had any dental issues in my life, I was confused. I have also been told many times over my teeth look great. They referred me to an endodontist. Payed $300+ out of pocket for a 20 minute appointment for him to say "yeah, well maybe, maybe not we will have to wait and see." They also casually mentioned that the owners of the dentist establishment were their good friends. I did not follow up with a tooth extraction or implant following this appointment because the endodontist didn't say it was necessary at this time. I went back for another cleaning 6 months later and AGAIN was heavily pushed to schedule an extraction and implant. My intuition told me to get a second opinion, because something felt off. My gut was telling me this wasn't in my best interest and not for the sake of my dental health. As a young person who has never had dental issues in their life I felt like I was being taken advantage of. It felt as though they thought I was naïve. It felt as though this establishment was truly just a business trying to make themselves and their friends money. I have visited 2 other dentists since my experience here and have asked them point blank if I needed a tooth extraction and implant because a previous dentist told me that I did. I told them exactly what the dentist at Orenco Station told me. Both dentists I have seen since said no. AND if that were the case, extraction and implant should not be the first plan of action for someone so young who is also not experiencing any pain or discomfort. There should always be an effort to save the tooth. I still do not have problems or pain with said tooth. It's been 3+ years. I understand each dentist has their difference in opinion and can use their own discretion, especially in private practice. Some are more proactive and some are reactive. However, my experience was that this place was purely a business looking to make money. They did not make me feel like they had good intentions or my best interest in mind. They were VERY pushy to undergo expensive treatments. For future or current patients of this place, just use your own discretion. Advocate for yourself. Get a second opinion. Trust your intuition. This is just my experience I felt compelled to share.

I was impressed and delighted by their service on day one and just as impressed and delighted today, six years later after several cleanings, whitening treatments, and a few repairs.
