. This place has been a train wreck for some time. I was at the store today when it opened. Came in with the staff. It was 959am, too early to check in online. So I waited while the staff turned computers on, etc. While waiting two others came in, it was now 10am and those two quickly made an appointment. Then I was told that even though I was the first in the store, asking for an appointment, I was third in line. 40 minutes wait. I left. Not the first bad experience I've had here. My last haircut there the person who did it said they were nervous. it was their first job. It showed. Their 10am "opening" varies wildly, by the way. Don't count on it. Never, ever, ever again. The worst in town. Go literally anywhere else for a better experience. read more

All about finding the right the stylist ... I've been coming here for about five years now ... I used to frequent salons like Magnum Opus and Aveda in NW prior for decades, pricing for a basic mens haircut have risen across the board. Most short cuts aren't too timely, and my days of color and wild styles have long since passed. That doesn't mean I still don't mind a clean nicely done tight haircut that's done to perfection. After discovering Danielle is without a doubt the best, does excellent work, is friendly and warm. I hope SC pays her top dollar and she makes tons in tips while she sticks around managing that place giving them a good reputation !! Best to book in advance because she has a loyal following. Junior boy haircut 12 years old and under in this burb = $24 (no shampoo). Even supercut in California is $19 this year (up from $17). Go ahead to real barber shop for full experience. Oh don't give them your phone number for appointment. You will get spam call just within an hour. Very obvious they sell kids name and number. Horrible business. read more

When you pay for a haircut you expect to hire a person who is competent. My wife had beautiful long hair that took years to grow out. Last night she was butchered by Erin. She asked for long layers and framing around her face. It should have been fairly straight forward. Instead she got a weed whacking that will take years to correct. Erin admitted she was "out of practice". She appeared nervous and clumsy. Instead of stopping to ask for help she continued on. A very upsetting and disappointing experience. Supercuts, please make sure your people are competent and qualified to do the job. We will not return and either should you. Update: My wife called and spoke to the manager. Just moved to this area a few weeks ago and since this location was so close I decided to give it a try. Nothing too crazy, just a trim and some texture. The manager, Tiana (might have spelled that wrong) was my hairdresser and she was amazing! She's definitely made a customer out of me!! She was so knowledgeable, and friendly, she knew exactly what I needed, and was a great conversation. I will definitely be coming back here for her to cut my hair whenever possible. My son's $16 haircut looked great. A little gel spiked the top and the sides were well blended. A couple days later, went gel-free and noticed his bangs were cut very crooked. Brought him back as soon as schedule allowed, to straighten up the bangs. They said it had been (2 days) more than 7 days since his cut. Refused to fix his haircut, unless we paid more. Disappointed by the customer service at this Supercuts. The Great Clips on Barnes Rd. (near QFC) is a MUCH better experience, for both adults and kids. Erin and the other stylist worked together seamlessly to handle my color appointment, walk in customers and computer reservations. Even being very busy they were so kind and considerate to every person. Erin did a lovely job on my color and my hair is soft, smooth and shiny with excellent blending from the prior color. "Uh ya she like already has a color at 2:30" Um it's 2:30 now. You said she was at lunch? But she has a color? How late is she there? "Uh ya, til 6, so she's like not doing any more color today" OMG...then she tells me that they are getting trained next week to color, I can book then. Like um NO. Been here a few times now. It's been their Grand Opening for forever. Not sure exactly what's so grand about it, other than it's been "opening" for the last 6 months. The staff is super friendly and warm, often times chatting with guests in between appointments. Monique is great with kids. As I mentioned in the tips, she was previously from one of the trendy kids cuts places around town that charge twice as much. In an early draft of this review I noticed that I misspelled "previous" as "precious", and I do suppose that she is also preciously from them as well. The toddler absolutely loves her. He is at least comfortable enough to poop in her chair and inclined enough to share with her. She has kids. She know how it goes. We had a giggle and moved on. No changing table in the bathroom. Get on it guys! If you do I'll email the Yelp developers and submit an inquiry into getting another half star. You could be the first 5.5 stars! Typically she drops two dumdum suckers in his lap and he two fists the lollipops and she's done with the cut before he can finish his lollipops akimbo. Sometimes it's less than 15 minutes and she's got lots of stalls and tricks to make the kiddos laugh and comfortable. The cut is usually styled with layers and texture. Although the price is cheap, the product is superior. Not just a kids cut, but more like an adult cut on a kid. Bring your tots and ask for Monique! read more

Once upon a time, this was actually a pretty good place, I think I even gave it a positive review! But then... Had a bad haircut there. It happens, went back and had it "fixed". Went back months later to get a hair cut. It was bad, went back to have it "fixed" TWICE. NO WAY, I could go three for three, could I? Well, I could and I did (I know, should of stopped at the second one). Three haircuts and all three (done by the same person) were just horrible. HORRIBLE! This place is kind of hit and miss for me. The haircuts are good, but if your timing isn't right they can be hard to get. They seem to be almost chronically understaffed, and part of the problem is the guy who works at the front counter who doesn't cut hair. This is the worst haircut I've gotten in my entire life, for the amount of time and work that went into making my hair look as bad as it does it was vastly overpriced I asked for a bob and got a weedwacker special. I have been going to Tiana for a little over 1 year. I have always gotten a very good cut and exactly the cut I requested. Recently, I got low lights (my hair is nearly all white) and a clear glaze. My hair looks great and better than it has looked in years. It is also softer and has more body and better texture with the enhanced color and glaze. The color/glaze cost $50. In the past, I have spend hundreds of dollars at fancier salons and have never been as pleased with the color (or cuts) as I am with Tiana's work. I will keep coming back to Tiana for all of my hair needs. read more

Very disappointing haircut. I should have known better. All I wanted her to do was the same thing that I already had- just a little bit shorter. I had had cute layers that had gotten longer, and just wanted them to be trimmed. They used to flip outwards and now they just look like long uneven sections of hair- no cute flip. I would not go back there. In fact, I wish I knew where I could go to get my hair fixed. She gets 2 stars because she was friendly and gave me advice about hair growth. read more

I have been going to this Supercuts location for the past 3 years and I am never disappointed. I have had my hair done by another employee and it was a great cut. But I have been a regular to the stylist Tori since I moved to the area and she always gets my hair exactly the way I want it. I've had it cut really short, then to colored blonde balayage, and now a face framed vintage cut and have zero complaints. Would recommend this place to anyone. read more

First time haircut on a Tuesday($12 special), which seemed extra crowded. Initially, I walked in for a haircut, but the wait was 45 minutes, so I made an appointment instead for the evening thinking this might be better. Their wait time in the evening was around 20 min, primarily because there are only 2 employees like the whole day. They were somewhat friendly, but more busy if anything, which is understandable. My haircut was fast and good enough and cheap, so I'll try them again next time and hope that they may be more staffed to reduce the wait times on "Tuesday special day." read more

This place deserves another positive review to balance a few negative ones. I've gone here a handful of times over the past few years, and they're pretty good. Staff is always friendly, the wait is what you'd expect with a walk-in/online "schedule to give us a heads up but this isn't really an appointment" establishment, and you can't beat the price. I've got really long hair that's gotta be annoying to cut and it's always a challenge discussing what I'm after because there seems to be no standard in what "long layers" means, but they're always a good sport about it and it usually turns out fine. Some hairstylists get it more than others, but hey, haircuts are so subjective. They've even thrown in some education, reviewing how I can cut my own bangs and why getting shorter layers would make hair with my length scraggly and weird. I've used various stylists with MacKenzie and Tiana as the standouts, in that order. Go ahead and try this place, it'll be ok. read more
