Ended up calling 911 and spent 20 days in the hospital. Basically went septic. Glad to be alive. Had 6 surgeries in about 12 days to clean me up. Woke up from my emergency department surgery with a colonoscopy bag. Original surgery cost me $14k. Besides the cost of almost my life; $5k in expenses while in the hospital; haven't even begin to get all my hospital bills. Have a deformed side, lack of feeling in my lower back. Over all nice Dr. and beautiful office. Wasn't offered any compensation for my surgery. Suffering from pain and financial stress. Loss of work.. hundreds of miles and hours to numerous doctors appointments. Future surgery early 2024 to fix my colon. Just a sad situation. The surgeon had a bad shoulder and he himself needed surgery the day after performing my surgery. Would have been nice to have been aware of the surgeon's condition. So bummed at this outcome. Just make sure your doctors are fit for surgery and they EXPLAIN all the possible complications in detail. (They say in writing that they do) but they don't. Be your own advocate. Good luck.

Went back in 5 hours later and one of the "managers" was there. No photo. The SD card isn't working, which he said has been a problem. He said he wasn't told anything when he came on shift about my photo. I asked if it would be policy for the clerk to call me and let me know it couldn't be done, so I'd know to go elsewhere. He just said, "yeah, she should have called." That's it. If they knew there was a problem, why wasn't that relayed to all employees and consequently, to customers? Also, the store has been very dirty. I've asked when the janitor might be coming in. I was told they don't have one to do floors and someone on each shift is supposed to be cleaning them. Is everyone still using COVID as an excuse for poor customer service and lack of help?

This place gets only two stars just because the products are good. The service, however, gets no stars. Maybe I just got the wrong people to help me, I don't know, but the minute I walked in the door I knew that I was dealing with two kids that really didn't care about service. I don't remember their names, sorry. As soon as I opened the door, I saw two kids behind the counter, one of them actually sitting on the counter away with his back to me. They saw me, but they didn't greet me or even acknowledge that I walked in the door because right that minute was when Bohemian Rhapsody came on the radio and they were too busy belting out the lyrics to each other. So, I was left to search the store myself for products. By the way, I'm from Seattle and this was my first time into this Salem store. All I needed was some hypo-allergenic earrings and some hair color and I would've asked where those things were, except that the two kids behind the counter had gone from singing loudly to chatting loudly with each other. You would think that at this point, someone would've come over to see how I was doing; to ask if I needed help. I mean, it was obvious those kids weren't busy. Eventually, I found the hair color, but not the earrings. So, I went back to the two kids who were still chatting loudly with each other. Me, "Excuse me, where can I find the earrings?" Boy sitting on counter with his back to me, "I love this song! Do you remember when..." Girl facing me pointed to the earring rack, which was right in front of me on the counter (admittedly, it was obvious where it was, but I really hadn't noticed it), "Oh I know what you mean..." Me, interrupting, "Can you tell me which earrings are for people with nickel allergies." Girl, "Yeah, it's like the ones for sensitive ears." She turned the rack around and pointed to the earrings for sensitive ears. I looked at a bunch of them, but none of them showed what 'ingredients' were in the metal alloy so I asked her again, "Do these have nickel in them?" The girl shook her head and said, "They're for sensitive ears." Me, "Does the term 'sensitive ears' mean that there's no nickel in them?" The girl nodded, but then asked, "So how are you getting your ears pierced?" I told her that I had a friend who was a licensed professional and she started telling me how illegal piercing guns are and how unclean they are and how she would never use one because she's a germaphobe. I don't really care what she has to say at this point because she never once paid interest in me shopping there that day, nevermind the fact that right above the earrings in the rack are said illegal piercing guns for sale. I hand her some earrings that I picked out and pay her in cash, which she takes from my hand. I mention this because I know some real germaphobes around and they won't take money either from my hand or the counter, because let's face it, money is filthy and you don't know where it's been. She hands me my purchase and scratches her face with her fingernails afterwards. Again I mention this because germaphobes don't do this either, especially after handling money. Afterwards, looking up the sensitive earrings online for metal content, sure enough, many of them still have small amounts of nickel. Supposedly not enough for your typical person with nickel allergies, but for someone like myself who has it severely, these earrings could've caused a reaction still. Not only that, but I discovered that piercing guns are not quite illegal, just illegal to pierce with them on anything but the ear lobe. Furthermore, it's not just a matter of cleanliness, it's also a matter of how that particular method stresses the actual piercing. Now, these kids were, well, kids and most kids don't having a working idea of 'hard' work and customer service, so I think they could be taught some work ethic (as in, don't sing and chat loudly while they can serve a customer in the store, or even if there's nothing to do, you can clean - please listen to this 'germaphobe'). They can be informed rather than ignorant of what the store purports too. Or Sally's can hire people who actually care about doing a good job at work. read more

I swear the job requirements for this shop has to be -always moody -always suspicious and make sure to let it be known , especially to women and their children . -make sure customer feels dumb and uninformed - that is until they met you , the most knowledgeable, most experienced "advisor" in all of the beauty world and anyone who questions your statements ("advice" is a term to use loosely here)are idiots . Just because you don't have a cosmetology license doesn't mean you don't know everything , because you must act like you do, to every customer and be annoyed by them the entire time. -If they mention doing something other than what you have told them to do with said product , then refuse their purchase and look dumbfoundly at them for even trying to think outside your idea box . read more

I voiced my concern about the dye soaking into my skin and she doubled down that she used a protectant and had these "aaammaazibg wipes" that would wipe the extra dye off my skin with ease. When she was finished with the application she handed me a wipe and said I could wipe it myself. I kindly declined saying that I didn't wana get dye all over my hands.... When the wipes were clearly just smudging the dye more around my face and my edges started to burn from her rubbing so hard, she stopped service to "let my edges rest" and then conveniently asked me to pay in full 1/2 way through the service. Her fee she made up on the spot... for a root touch up and toner.... $145!!!! ABSOLUTE INSANITY!!!!!! Mind you she couldn't even find her own Venmo name or knew her own WiFi password. ‍ I obliged afraid she would make me walk out with my forehead, sideburns and neck burning and roots full of color. The brazillian wax room had stained towels and sheets, no sort of baby wipes, after care lotion, or wax removing wipes. The waxing lady was very rough, leaving plenty of wax residue still on the skin, and leaving strays and whole patches of hair. She too seemed bothered to be waxing. I called the next day, still red, irritated, and in pain from large removals of skin, the owner was very short with me, not offering a credit or additional services, or any sort of ownership for the shortcoming. I will not return, and in fact will stray others from going here. Extremely disappointed.
