Today I went to get hair dye with my autistic son and while I was speaking to the lady in purple pastel hair she began telling my son "don't touch me" and I explained to her that he is special needs with autism he's not aware of what's happening. I have only been two times and I love this place! one of the girls that work there is so so nice and helpful! she helped me with products when I wanted to bleach and dye my hair! then when I came back she was super excited to see my hair! Store hours says it opens at 10 am for Tuesday morning. It's 11am now and the store is closed. Wasted time to come here instead of going elsewhere needless to say I will not be back to this store. There were few of us puzzled at the door and realized the place was still closed. Where do I start? The girls in there do not know what they are talking about. They do not know the products. I just came back here to return the expensive color they told me I needed that didn't change my hair color at all and what did you know? Says they open at 10. Waited outside because the door was still locked at 10:06. They were inside and ignored me. I really wanted to do my own SNS nails because the salons keep rushing and getting it messy or not shaped right. The woman helping me at this particular location was so kind a knew a lot and pointed me in the right direction and showed me all my options! I got exactly what I needed and did my nails at home and they are better than the salon! 10 out of 10 would recommend- and she was so nice. I know that sometimes it depends on the person you get it and I can't remember her name unfortunately, but it was a great experience. I spent what I usually spend on two manicures and now I don't have to go back to the salon. read more

The WORST service i have ever experienced at a Sally's. So rude and will not shop here again.

I purchased some clippers, brought them to the salon, plugged them in while in the break room, and they were super loud. The receipt said there were no returns on clippers UNLESS they hadn't been used, and were in the original packaging. so i packaged them up just as neatly as they came and went back to return them. The cashier didn't even ask if they were defective, she just said they don't take returns on clippers. Period. I pointed out the verbiage on the receipt, at which point she looked into the package and said she saw hair on the clippers which is impossible since they never even made it to my station. Once i pushed further about the policy and it's impossible for there to be hair on there, she took a breather and read the receipt again then came back to say she could only offer a store credit. I've honestly never run into this experience before, or known a store to go argue against their own policy. That said, it doesn't make sense to give them business after being treated like a liar. I went in with the receipt to return 2 unopened products I had purchased 5 days ago. A handwritten note on the door said they were only able to return items with the receipt. This note wasn't there when I bought my products, which made me feel sympathy for the owner. I assumed they had experienced significant theft during returns that didn't have receipts. The cashier was on the phone with the manager when I walked in the door and up to the counter. She was getting instructions on how to do something work-related on a tablet. I could hear most of what the manager was saying. Not a big deal. I browsed at several items next to the counter while I waited. Finally the cashier said to the manager that she got where she needed on the tablet, but didn't hang up the phone. She picked up my items and my receipt, typed into the cash register, asked me my name, and spoke the letters out loud as she typed it in, but the manager kept talking to her about work-related things ("I told my girls", etc). The manager picked up on what I was there for and told the cashier not to allow any returns until she got back to the store this weekend. The friendly cashier apologized to the manager a few times and explained she thought it was only returns without a receipt that needed to wait. The cashier had already printed out the 2 return receipts and had asked me to sign 1 of them, so she told the manager she wouldn't do any more after mine. She asked if I had the card I had made the purchase with. I opened my wallet and realized it was the card my husband and I decided not to use any more due to the annual fee, so I had left it at home and put a different one in my wallet. The manager said I would have to put the return back on the original card and to come back on the weekend when she was there. It will be difficult for me to come back to this store on the weekend. I made a special trip to return these items today. If the note on the door had said "No returns until this weekend" or if the manager had let the worker off the phone sooner, I wouldn't be so frustrated. But the manager was rude by ignoring the fact that the cashier had a customer, wouldn't let me return my items, and changed the return rules while I was in the store! This was a terrible example of how to run a business. read more
