I went here hoping to buy a cheap developer, powder and toner but I came out with a lot of help and tips from they're hair specialist. (and a plan to come back when I could do some follow up research) I was going to buy what I found had been cheap developer and power and they gave me a great warning from their experience with it. I purchased a set of Wahl Professional Hero clippers from the Yonkers, NY Sally Beauty Supply #10056 and the clippers in the box had broken accessories. When I opened the box and discovered that the accessories were broken, I packed everything up and went back to Sally Beauty to exchange the clippers or at least have the broken components replaced. I never wanted a refund. Without asking what was broken or identifying what the issue issue was I was told that all sales on clippers are final. No Refunds, No Exchange. I tried to explain and the clerk quickly told me that I would have o take it up with the manager, she was only a clerk following instructions. The Manager, Nyeisha, was not expected back to the store until the following day and I would have to return. I returned the following day, less than 24 hours from the time of purchase and once again, I was told that Sally Beauty Supply has an All Sales Are Final on clippers. Keep in mind Sally Beauty sold me a set of defective clippers, broken in the box. The store Manager Nyeisha explained that if she had some replacement components she would be glad to sell me those items, but replacing or exchanging was out of her hands because of the corporate policy. So basically I was left holding the bag or should I say, broken clippers. I always go to Sally's knowing what I want so I never have a problem finding things. I've been going to this specific location for about 3 years and recently with new staff their customer service is disgusting. Maybe because the girls they hire are young but nothing grinds my gears more than poor customer service. There is one little ghetto girl in particular that may have some mental issues. She has the nastiest disposition I've ever experienced in a store. I wish they would do mystery shops at this store to see what the staff is like. The young lady with colorful hair (I believe she's the manager) is usually nice but recently with the new staff seems disinterested in her job as well. Everytime I have gone I have had the worst experiences. Everytime I have a problem I speak to the manager who is just as much a waste as the store. They have no idea what they are talking about. They act like they know it all but they have no cosmetology experience or salon experience. They are so unprofessional. Never listen to there hair advice or opinions. Just left from Sally's scared for my life. Went in there shopping for semi permanent hair dye in which i am not the most educated in. I approached a male/female rep not sure of the sex because of the facial hair. Anyway this specific rep is way too aggressive & not educating clients in a positive way. There is way to speak to customers with a trusting & warm delivery. The rep made me feel stupid, belittled & barked at me for asking a question that i am not aware of & couldn't process. This is a demanding industry & there is a way to present yourself & deliver the rep didn't do neither. read more

Extremely unprofessional staff, I went in there this morning to get some things I needed, nobody was in the store meaning no workers, a few minutes later the worker comes out of the back and she's on a personal phone call I asked her a question regarding the hair scissors since I'm not a hairdresser I don't know the difference between any of the scissors and which is best for cutting hair extensions, I asked her and she seemed annoyed that I was interrupting her phone call and basically said she had no idea and it's just personal preference. Well, I'm sure if it was personal preference the prices wouldn't range from $60 to $9, there has to be major differences. Whatever, I probably won't go here again unless I need something simple.
