I didn't buy anything during my visit but a friend bought a Persian-style decorative platter with a beautifully intricate design... and it was only $30. If you have some time to kill after parking in the ferry line, check this place out. Good antique shops are like little museums and this one certainly has plenty of interesting items to scope out.

Other women looked at me like - wow - I can't believe she said that. I felt so uncomfortable I quietly hung my items back up and walked out as did my friend. I looked back and she gave me a snarky wave like bye bye - can't wait for you to go. I am a quiet respectful person. I turned and said, "You are so rude." And she said "you made everyone uncomfortable around you." I said, "The only one uncomfortable was you." I am still shocked. If she hadn't wanted me waiting back there where there was plenty of room in a room with 2 private spaces, then she should have said that initially. The whole thing was so bizarre. And her behavior towards me was shockingly rude. I left shaking. I hope that wasn't the owner and the owner sees this.

It's also a handsome place with their various pieces well displayed. I was particularly impressed with their glass wall pieces and some wood boxes by a person on Orcas Island by the name of River Jim. I also thought that the owner was very helpful, especially since I'll probably buy one of River Jim's boxes in the future. Jane Y.'s experience is unfortunate, although a sometimes high shipping/handling charge for often fragile and uniquely shaped artistic objects is more common than not. And it is certainly something I expect and factor into my purchasing decisions. I'm also usually suspicious of Yelp reviews from a profile with no picture and only one pointed posting. I call this a "drive by".
