She's very knowledgeable about hair and won't let you get certain services until your hair is ready for it. Tonya is also very friendly and personable. Moni, her assistant, is the sweetest. She's very thorough and thoughtful when washing my hair. She pays attention to your hair and scalp and uses the appropriate products for your specific needs. It has a very comfortable and homey atmosphere, and the staff clearly got along well, laughing and joking with each other as well as with the clients. I felt very at ease and not at all intimidated to tell my stylist what I was looking for in terms of my cut. Haircut: I had my haircut by Marty, who is the owner of the salon. If you have curly hair, you know how much of a struggle it can be to find someone who really understands how your hair works. I have had my fair share of nightmare cuts where the stylist has cut it wet and it curled up to WAY shorter than anticipated. None of that here! No pulling of the curl, no brushing, no making it frizz out! Also they didn't automatically assume I wanted it blown out straight after they cut it, which I appreciated. My cut turned out wonderfully, whether I wore it curly (my go-to for the week) or straightened it. I had the DevaCut, which was a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for and the cut was high quality and definitely worth it in my opinion. Final word: Highly recommended!

I've gotten overall color, a haircut, and highlights for the same price elsewhere. i've even gone blonde around the same price. Anyway, i only needed a fresh trim on my ends & a minor adjustment to my bangs-- not much done, really. The stylist (Nairi) let me walk out the salon without mentioning the bangs being cut so short. She managed to hide it until i got in the car & at that point, i needed to be somewhere at a certain time so I couldn't even go back to complain. I've had many stylists make mistakes & not apologize to me before I leave the chair, which is so infuriating. It's also why I rarely ever get my hair done anymore, unless i really needed to, but now I might just learn how to do my own hair bcs at least if i were to mess up, i'd mess it up for FREE. Funny, i decided to visit the salon this time around so that i don't mess my bangs up before an event coming up just for that to be the main issue.
