I booked here being from the area and no longer wishing to drive to my stylist who moved to PA. Initial impression was walking in and having 2 stylists stare at me with no "hello" "welcome" or anything. Just staring until one finally said "someone will be with you". My stylist herself was fine, but didn't ask for inspiration pictures or ask many questions. I booked a partial highlight no cut because Im used to a highlight and cut being 2-3 hours at my former salon due to my thick, fine hair. Imagine my surprise when I am rushed through and my highlight, processing, washing, drying and curling all in 1 hour and 15 minutes. It felt like the Jiffy Lube of salon service and definitely did not resemble good customer service or hospitality. I left feeling like I was an inconvenience to them. Overall I was not wow'd by my result, but the price point was solid. I waited to post this experience which was in May, because I tried a new salon after, to see if maybe I was overreacting to my rushed experience at Bombshell. I was not. My experience at another local salon was about 3 hours for all parts of a partial highlight and a quick dead end trim. My stylist there was brand new to me but took time to hear my wants and to make sure I left satisfied. So having compared to my before and after, I cannot say I would return to Bombshell or recommend to anyone. read more

Waste of time & money. Booked an appointment for an all over color and a haircut-- Paid $205 (excluding tip). OVERPRICED for the service provided. I've gotten overall color, a haircut, and highlights for the same price elsewhere. i've even gone blonde around the same price. Anyway, i only needed a fresh trim on my ends & a minor adjustment to my bangs-- not much done, really. The stylist (Nairi) let me walk out the salon without mentioning the bangs being cut so short. She managed to hide it until i got in the car & at that point, i needed to be somewhere at a certain time so I couldn't even go back to complain. I've had many stylists make mistakes & not apologize to me before I leave the chair, which is so infuriating. It's also why I rarely ever get my hair done anymore, unless i really needed to, but now I might just learn how to do my own hair bcs at least if i were to mess up, i'd mess it up for FREE. Funny, i decided to visit the salon this time around so that i don't mess my bangs up before an event coming up just for that to be the main issue. Talked to the owner Jen who did try to fix the bang, but she couldn't really do much. I I can not speak highly enough about Jen at Bombshell Salon. I have always struggled with thin, short hair, and addressed the issue with tape-ins extensions. Jen did a beautiful job with tape-ins but introduced me to a method of hair lengthening that was perfect for my hair concerns- keratin tips. The extensions bond to each individual stand, rather than sitting at the scalp, and my hair has never looked and felt more beautiful, and natural. I was recommended bombshell by a friend and decided to get highlights in my hair. They turned out very well and I loved them! Lorielle was my hairdresser and she was very nice and easy to talk to. I came back again over the weekend for some layers and curtain bangs. I had already had layers previously so I didn't think much of getting them touched up. But oh my goodness the hair was very choppy and I was so upset over it(different hairdresser). I called to get it fixed and Tina took me right away the next day, salvaged what she could, and went as far as making time for me to get my hair colored as well! I was driving over an hour from Baltimore to Hartford County to see my normal stylist and finally decided I needed to find someone closer. A friend recommended Rachel and it's safe to say I've found my new go to stylist! Upon arrival I admitted that I wasn't sure what I was looking for but that my hair needed help. Between grown out layers, dead ends and an ongoing battle with the summer humidity I was overwhelmed and didn't have a clue what style might "work." Rachel listened to my laundry list of complaints and suggested a trim to even out my length, remove the old layers which would give my hair a little more volume. She suggested taking off about two inches to start, we wound up going slightly shorter than she'd originally suggested (I actually asked if we could go a bit shorter when she was almost entirely finished, she obliged). My sister did a Balayage here. First, the quality was not good compared to what we've seen in other salons. Second, the customer service is awful and extremely unprofessional. They quoted us a price and then after the hair was done they said $50 more. They would not admit the price they initially quoted us and were yelling at my family and said we must pay that amount or they will call the police. Sydney is a sweetheart! I showed her what I wanted (you know...after looking through every social media outlet ) and she executed. She is an exceptional and talented stylist. I saw her for the first time yesterday and I was so impressed with her work after she finished. Besides an awesome stylist, I love that Bombshell does dry cuts. I haven't had a haircut in a while and it put me at ease to be able to see the look as she's cutting. One other observation that put me at ease is that Bombshell has their color mixing area out in the open. You just want your money's worth, right? Overall, the staff were nice and courteous. I visited this salon and requested Sierra. First off this salon is beautiful with hair and makeup items available for purchase at the front desk. When Sierra approached me we talked about doing either a color or clear gloss, she didn't really tell me which one she was placing on my hair until I asked when I was getting shampooed. When it was time to wash out the gloss a junior stylist took me to the shampoo station since Sierra was working with another client. I wish I remembered her name because she was amazing. Very professional and her head massage while she shampooed me made me fall asleep several times. (She isn't on the website sadly tried looking her up) Afterward Sierra cut my hair and that was that. I like my cut but wished we talked more about the kind of gloss I wanted since I am a natural red head and was hoping to get a color gloss but instead received clear. Tina at Bombshell is simply amazing! I brought my 16 year old daughter to her after a botched color job at another salon. Her hair looked as if she had strings of brass running through it. She has the most beautiful thick brown hair and just wanted some highlights and interested added to it. Unfortunately, we initially went to a salon that was close and not a salon that specializes in color. In a panic, I called Bombshell! They had been recommended to me in the past but are quite far from where we live. I was so fortunate to reach Tina so I could explain the situation...after all, a 16 year old girl's hair is her lifeline! She was so wonderful from the minute I spoke with her! She fit us in quickly and what an absolute miracle she worked on her hair! It was a multi-step color process followed by a precision cut and style. My daughter was so overwhelmed with what she did! It looked just like the picture she showed her! The transformation is absolutely gorgeous and has given her a much needed boost after the pandemic and other bumps in the road. So, a few days later I did. She added more color to make sure it wasn't going to fade as fast as it did the first time. She stayed with me the entire time and even offered to style my hair. Overpriced. Poorly managed. Almost destroyed my wedding day. I scheduled my mother, mother-in-law, and sisters to have their makeup done for the wedding. They used the same brushes on multiple faces which is completely unhygienic, they barely put any foundation on the face and the eye shadow wasn't blended. And I asked for mauve and my sisters were wearing bright silver eyeshadow!! My mother's makeup was melting off by the time they got back from the salon and we had to call our bridal party makeup artist to return to patch and fix everyone's face. It's like they didn't use any primer or setting spray. The eyelashes had to be reapplied as well. And then they tried to claim they had no record of the deposit that I paid for and I had to pull up my bank statement from months prior when I set the appointment to prove it. And then they overcharged us by $40 dollars even after receiving a tip from my Mother In Law. Almost ruined all of our pictures. Definitely would never go back. read more

I called Bombshell Salon because it came highly recommended by my best friend and it had also read great reviews. Admittedly, I was a little nervous because I had had recent bad luck with a salon that I had visited, which left me very stressed and hating my hair. When I called, the lady I spoke with was so nice and suggested that I make an appointment with Delilah. When I arrived, I was greeted with a friendly smile and offered some delicious orange-infused water. Immediately when I met Delilah, I felt at ease. She took the time to listen to my concerns (my hair pulls red/gold and can look orange if it's not done correctly). I showed her pictures, and she showed me various swatches and explained what she would do with my hair. The final result far exceeded my expectations, I couldn't be happier. I had the same done in California regularly before moving here so I just needed a redo. Jessica did not ask a lot of questions, but she didn't need to do! I think the salon is beautiful, and it's very clean and I appreciated them taking me right away, even though I came in 15 minutes before my appointment time. The reason I'm giving it a 2 is because I came in for a balayage and I wanted a dark auburn fade, my hair is already pretty dark brown. I was anxious because I wasn't sure what to expect, it was my first time here. My hair looks fine, it's blended well but the color I ended up getting is basically a light blondish/red. Not close to the photo I brought in at all, the picture I brought in was a much darker color. I was on a time crunch or I would have mentioned it. Otherwise the place is nice. But for the price you guys charge I think a little more detail to the shade would have helped. I don't think I'll be coming again, because I had to put down a deposit of around $70 just to make the apt for balayage, and if I had known the color would have been completely different I wouldn't have done that, because the deposit for the consultation alone for balayage is non-refundable. read more

She was on time, professional and made sure that everyone was satisfied with their look. She did lashes on everyone too, and made it look very natural. First with the good news: Bombshell is a very cute salon, brightly lit, cute retro girlie decor, and a big space for a salon. I had very high hopes for this place just by walking through the door. It is a Paul Mitchell salon, plenty of their product for sale but also had all sorts of other modern girl on the go items that makes this place almost boutique-y. It's definitely a little out of place in the sea of strip mall shops on Baltimore Nat'l Pike. Now for the not so great news: My stylist (this was the first and only time I've visited thus far) was notified that I was there for my appointment, she came up from to introduce herself and mentioned that she had to make a phone call and I could sit in one of the stylist chairs. I waited 15-20 min. for her to come back... sat with all my things in the stylist chair by myself for that long without anyone asking me if they could hang up my coat or get me some water. I know that they do offer these things since I saw other stylists offering them to other clients. After my stylist finally got to me she let me know that she'd lost her business phone and needed to cancel it... which is fine... but tell me that ahead of time. And the haircut... it was okay, nothing great. $40 + tip for an 'okay' haircut just didn't seem like something that fit with either my lifestyle or budget. Perhaps one of the other stylists would be better? They seemed more attentive than the one I got - and honestly, I'll go back, but that's mostly because it's located near my work and I'm new to the area and don't feel like messing around finding a different location yet. read more
