There arent many stylists that seemingly is impromptu available to do intricate and creative cornrow designs; however the owner is of great talent and can do it all. Let me caveat this by saying I have never had braids ever. I have fine hair but alot it and I pride myself on taking care of my hair. So I asked several people for recs - three people recommended this place. On the onset, the communication was great. The owner responded via instagram quickly and was very polite. Answered all of my questions. I set the appointment and paid my deposit. I arrived 8am sharp and was quickly seated by a very sweet lady. She asked me what I wanted and I said smedium knotless that would hit underneath my boobs at my waist line. She said ok and began to go to work. She was quick. I thought I would be there for 7 hours but to my surprise was finished by 12 pm. I stood up and the braids went halfway down across my butt. I instantly felt regret and told her these are too long. The lady made a face and attempted to cut some of them. She told me she couldn't do too much because it would mess up the style and that I should be happy that I would only have to pay for waist length. No no no - price isn't the issue, it's the fact you did not listen to your client on set!! I went to pay and quickly left the salon. Not very happy but also I did not want to cause a scene. Looking back I should've raised my concerns right then and there but again, I am a novice at braids so I chalked it up. While my parts look really nice, I don't believe my braids are true knotless. I have looked at photos over and over and the more and more I see that my braids at the root do not lay flat or start off "natural". If anything, it looks as if there is a small knot at the beginning. Also the ends of my braids are not neat. So many of the other ladies in the salon braids looked good so I assumed everyone there braided the same. I hope and pray taking these down my hair will not be damaged which this protective style was specifically asked for to protect my hair. Unfortunately I will likely not recommend this place nor will I return.

I always look forward to a good laugh, great music and leaving feeling like my best self after I leave my monthly appointment here.
