Walk down as far as the dam and the highly oxygenated water makes for a wonderful fish spawning environment and keeps the creek stocked and the fishermen happy. Walk off the beaten path, want to steep, wooded hills or if it's warm enough, walk, right in the creek itself. And then to get back to your car you have to go up that very steep hill. The Boat Comfortable for our family of four, Captain Carl and his skipper (could probably fit 2 to 3 more people and still would've been comfortable). Finding the Fish I only done a handful of charters in my life but the biggest fear is always will these guys be able to find enough fish to justify paying someone else to take us fishing. Captain Carl has an uncanny intuition to find the fish and a ridiculous amount of technology and equipment he's making use of both the science and art of fishing. Overall Experience Personally I go fishing 3-10 times a year so I want action and love learning from masters like Captain Carl. My wife and kids are more landlubbers and they loved that the boat was nice, well maintained and comfortable. We're already talking about the next trip with Dublin Up. There's the Olott Beach Carousel Park (closed this year due to Covid), Krull Park, and Olcott Beach. The beach was actually closed last year because of exceptionally high water level in Lake Ontario that totally eroded away the entire beach and covered all the piers. The beach is back this year, though not as wide as it was previously and most of the docks are still under water. It's been a decent place to go this year especially during the week when there's not much of a crowd. The beach was pretty empty on my last visit. Check it out!

Very busy place year round if the following events are active: northern lights [aurora], meteor showers, visible comets, etc. You get the idea. Just PLEASE don't trash the lake. If you have something, put it aside in a closed bucket etc, and get rid of it later after leaving the area. Teach the young ones to NOT play close to the pier edge, and if they have trash, to dispose of it properly. There are many nearby houses/homes. Noise and voices carry during the day and especially at NIGHT. Please be respectful of others and keep your voice low. The appearance of the harbor area, pier and surrounding areas reflect on the town of Wilson and its residents; please act responsibly, don't trash the pier areas and waters, and be a responsible user of the area to keep it clean and usable for others. Nobody likes coming to a harbor area and pier to see food/cups, cigarettes, and general trash in the water and on the ground. If you fish on the pier, please keep track of your gear and fishing hook. How you act and leave the area(s) reflect not only on you and others, but affects the whole town of Wilson!

Not that I am a big fisherman by any extent, but these were the best times I have EVER had fishing. There were three of us on each trip (plus Matt) and caught between 4 and 8 mature Salmon weighting between 15 and 26 pounds. Catching one of these big fish is really exciting - let me tell you. They fight back and they are tough to land. And, Captain Matt knows how to catch fish. He knows where to look, what bait to use, what depth to set the lines at, and when to pull them out. He LOVES to fish (to give you an idea, he fishes on his day off), and this makes him an excellent Captain and teacher. He has won numerous awards and derbys, and knows how to catch the other species of Lake and River fish as well. If you are on one of his Charters, he will be fully engaged at all times, and will expect the same level of engagement back from you. He really cares about making sure you have a great time on his boat, and will do everything possible to see that you have plenty of fish to bring home. If you are looking for a fishing charter out of the Youngstown/Lewistown areas, Wet Net Charters definitely the company to choose.

I flew in from Calgary to Toronto. It was my dad's 70th birthday celebration. He booked a two day trip,4 months prior,a Sunday and Monday with these guys. He met them at a sporting show. We flew in from across Canada (Calgary, Edmonton and Montreal) On Wednesday my dad talked to the guy and he said it was all a go. I arrived in Toronto on the Saturday only to get a call to say they were cancelling. They were going to be in a tournament instead. WHAT! SO I'm in Toronto, my family in Montreal, and nowhere to go. we texted and talked back and forth (the other three where about to leave that same Saturday morning) decided that we would just cancel the trip. We were disappointed beyond belief. Cancelling 24 hours prior to going and a 7 hour drive from Montreal was too far for a one day trip for my 70 year old dad. I lost $1000. My cousin too. This PERSON decided to keep the down payment of $400 because he got screwed out of Monday (oh yeah, he still said he was good for Monday.... but how could we trust him..... he said the same thing earlier on that week) he also got vulgar when I asked for the money back.
